Chapter 92: Hunter vs. Lothar (3)

"Your strength correlates to the number of the ghouls under you, doesn't it? The more ghouls, the stronger you are."

Those words contained only truth.

In his new form, with the Law Of Resurrection in his grasp, Hunter's Death Lord Form leveraged the power only Hunter wielded, increasing his strength by the number of units under his name.

For that reason, he was a lord.

The Death Lord.

It was a power that Hunter drew out with his golden soul, which had frightened the vampires of World Order before.

All of it should have eluded Lothar, as he didn't have this much knowledge.

Yet, he must have noticed how Hunter's strength had fallen a little when his forces had taken out one of the ghouls, only for it to return as ghouls devoured their fallen comrade to strengthen themselves.

Of course, in this way, the numbers under him fell, yet the quality of the undead was also crucial to this concept.

Hunter couldn't just visit a graveyard, awaken all corpses, and become the strongest in the world.

"Ghouls are such a good choice here," Lothar showcased a little of his knowledge about the undead. "You can trick your power by having them devour themselves and sprout new body parts on their bodies. This makes one ghoul be worth at least three, right?"

Keeping his eyes on his face, Hunter hadn't said anything.

However, there was a clear fear within his blue eyes of which Lothar couldn't be more content.

Aware that he hit the nail on the head, Lothar ascended to the skies.

Hunter lifted himself off the ground and shouted, "Come back here! Fight me!"

"You're done, Hunter," Lothar seized the skies with his presence again, "Your life is now in my hands… and your powers are my future lineage, which will take me to the thirteen lineages!"

Countless boxes popped around Lothar, dotting him in his innate skills.

Which he soon unleashed, throwing beams of various hindering concepts at the ghouls. They were like arrows of doom stretching toward helpless soldiers.

Hunter's shouts kept heightening, drawing a wider and wider smile from Lothar.

Death… power of death was about to fall into his hands!

He was so agitated by it that Lothar himself entered the hunt of the ghouls. He followed the wake of his beam and descended like a meteor onto the ghoul, extending his hand to strangle her to death!

That was the turning point of the entire battlefield…

…in Hunter's favor.

'What's he doing here?'

Only having a split second to ask himself, Lothar was bemused to see Hunter standing in the place of the ghoul with his towering armor taut and drawing his right gauntlet behind to make one decisive punch.

Lothar himself couldn't even stop. He was thrown by his feelings at the ghoul like an idiot, believing he was safe since she was far away from his foe. Worse, he had used all of his innate skill to draw boxes to hunt down more than three hundred ghouls!

He didn't have any means to stop himself or change his trajectory!

Not with him being so close to Hunter!

The man who stood with his arm drawn back and nails digging into his palm, with the royal design of his sculpted royal dullahan armor throbbing with shiny cold blood in which golden sparks were lusting for death.

The man whose balled hand had its own mantle of cold, dense steam, with fist sparking in wild red force!

This one punch had all of Hunter's current strongest.

His agitated blood.

His flowing origins.

His evolved skills.

Nakisha's powers.

The Madness' aid.

Momentum.

"DEATH OVER!"

And Hunter chucked it, punching a hole in Lothar's stomach.

All prerequisites to seal the demon within the gray world were now checked.

-

A bone-chilling silence blanketed the entire battlefield.

All because the unbelievable had just happened.

Lothar had lost…

It was as simple as that, yet even the ghouls took a moment to witness and confirm the impossible. For them, this was the demon who tormented them for years, so seeing his last moment was what they were enduring for.

It was satisfying, to say the least.

On the other hand, Lothar also decided to spend the last minutes quite casually.

"Did you… copy my skill… or what… was that…" Lothar asked in a trembling and weak voice, feeling his strength and life slipping away.

No longer able to stand on his two feet, he swayed to Hunter and used his shoulder to prop himself.

Hunter smiled, "You fell for a bait… I was expecting you to notice the ghouls' advantage from the start since you have researched the death. I believed in your dream… and used it against you. As to how I got here so fast, it's one of the lord's skills."

"I… see… pretty cool," Lothar closed his eyes.

Now, his life was in Hunter's hands, as in no world would he let him go to his real body in the demon world. As a hunter, he'd seal him, and don't let anyone know about his unique powers!

Which was what Hunter planned.

"Kill them all!"

After ordering his ghouls, Hunter turned on his sealing skill to drink more of Lothar's blood. Soon, the demon was drawn to his Hunter's inheritance world.

On his shoulder, Nakisha was in a little wolf form, looking at the scene with thirst in her eyes.

"My time's over… mate! Seriously, get stronger so you can call me in my peak form to have some fun! Don't be stingy and have all of it for yourself!"

She was called while Hunter was preparing the last punch, for he needed as much strength as possible. With the black leather armor from the first bloody wave, he could do that without compromising too much mana.

And her help was immense, even though she had just lent him her strength and stood on his shoulder like a pet.

"All in due time…" Hunter nodded and didn't comment on her words.

When Nakisha disappeared, Hunter took a moment to calm himself down and keep his power turned on, all because he had sensed that Aimee and Seraphina were somewhere close.

They hadn't escaped… as he had thought.
