Reincarnated Into Weakest Creature In Monster World

Andrew Blake is enjoying his morning coffee in the dining room while reading the newspaper. His son, Albert Blake, already go to school on a school bus after taking his breakfast. There's only him and his wife, Amanda, in that dining room. There's still some time before he goes to his working office, a botanical lab in suburb city. That's a place where he can work as his expertise as a botanist. His work requires him to work without certain work hours, sometimes he had to work for 20 hours per day or even only 2-3 hour per day if there's no research conducted in the lab.

He also often goes to another place or another country to researching new species that found in those places. Which make him don't have much time to spend with his son. And his son is about to celebrate his 9th years old birthday in several days later, but Andrew seems still calm and doing nothing about that. His wife that see how her husband behave become irritated and asking his plan at his son birthday

"Andrew, do you know what day is three days later?"

"Today is Wednesday, so three days later is Saturday right?"

His wife only can palm face with her hand after hearing her husband answer.

"I ask you not the day name but what day is that, Andrew"

"Oh I see, it's Saturday, so it's weekend and we should have to go out together right?"

Hearing her husband answer making Amanda getting more irritated.

"I ASK YOU WHAT DAY IS THAT, NOT WHAT YOUR PLAN ON THAT DAY!"

"Ah? What is the date of that day? Today is eleven, three days later is fourteen, fourteen September….hmmm, that's not our wedding anniversary…what else?"

"ARE YOU FORGET WITH YOUR OWN SON'S BIRTHDAY?"

"Oh? Right, I almost forgot about that. It's Albert's birthday, thanks for reminding me, Amanda"

"Almost? In my eyes it seems you already forget that, Andrew"

"Hahaha…of course not. How come I forget my own son birthday?"

"Really? So what do you prepare for his present?"

"I'm already preparing something unique for Albert. You know I just receive some plant from Nepenthes family. It's a plant that able to catch the insect and quite interesting. When this plant…."

*WHACK*

Andrew hasn't finished his words when his wife already smacks his head hard.

"Are you crazy? Other kids get bicycle, PC, clothes and other normal stuff and you want to give Albert a plant? Don't push your hobby to our son. Buy something normal as his birthday present. Not something that you bring from your lab as present"

Andrew dumbfounded by his wife's words. Is he really weird with his choice of a present?

"Amanda, what should I give to him? You know I love the plant, it's my work and I'm already in this field since I'm young, but I also love our son. Just tell me what I should give to him as present"

After hearing what her husband said, Amanda's heart becomes a bit softer. Her husband is not like other husbands. He's loyal and never cheating her. He also not goes out to have drinks with his friend, unless he has an invitation to the party. Most of his time only for his work and family, and her marriage is calm and harmony so far.

"Alright, your son is currently like to play games. Why don't you buy him a CD game as the birthday present for him"

"Game? Okay, I'll buy that for him. But what kind of game he plays at?"

"I hear he want to play a new game called Monster Inc. it's a new game that recently released and people must wait in line to buy it. Albert can't wait in line to buy that because of his school, so it will be a nice surprise for him if you can buy that CD game for him"

"Okay, you know the address of the store that sells that CD? I'll get one for him after I back from work later"

"I'll write that for you, but remember, don't forget to buy that"

"I will not forget"

Amanda wrote the store address and gives it to Andrew. After reading the address, Andrew put that paper in his pocket and bid goodbye to his wife to go to his workplace.
