Xiao Ying held him close, “I don’t want to move for now. Let’s talk about other things tomorrow, let me hug you for now.”

Mo Jingxuan nodded and was about to bring Xiao Ying over to the bed to rest for a while when there was a cough from behind him. The sound diverted his attention, and he turned.

“Cough—” Zi Bo stood at the door with a bag in his hand, looking calmly at the pair in the room, “The door was left open…I brought the medicine you wanted.”

Mo Jingxuan couldn’t help holding his forehead; they both had forgotten to close the door…Fortunately, Zi Bo was the one who came. If anyone else had seen them like this, it’s unknown what kind of rumors would have spread. They were still young; they must not fall into gossip at this time; reputation was far too important in the business world for him to allow theirs to be ruined.

For the sake of the family’s reputation, it would be better to keep his relationship with Xiao Ying a secret. Mo Heng wouldn’t spread rumors around, that would be detrimental to him, but others are different. It would be impossible for them to keep silent about the prized son of the Xiao family being gay.

“Put down the medicine and leave.” Xiao Ying’s voice was lazy as he kept his head buried in Mo Jingxuan’s arms.

Twitching the corners of his mouth, Zi Bo quickly entered the room to set down the medicine and was about to leave.

“Thank you!” Mo Jingxuan called out to his back.

Zi Bo paused, turning around with a smile, “This is what I should do, you’re the boss’s lover!”

Keeping a smile on his face, Mo Jingxuan nodded and watched Zi Bo leave.

He didn’t know that as Zi Bo had looked at his bruised and bloody smiling face, he had imagined a hundred kinds of small theaters, primarily centered around a little black room theme with a very abusive relationship.

Xiao Ying and Mo Jingxuan cuddled each other in the dormitory for the rest of the day. Before going to bed, Xiao Ying’s mood had completely stabilized, and Mo Jingxuan relaxed, slipping into his arms to sleep.

After breakfast the next day, Xiao Ying locked Mo Jingxuan inside the room, checking multiple times that it was truly locked before he could leave at ease.

“Huh~” Mo Jingxuan let out a sigh of relief for himself. This time he did not move to leave immediately, waiting quietly for another ten minutes before he was sure that no one was coming back. Confirming one last time that there was no movement at the door, he got up and took action. Carefully removing his watch, he put it on the sofa and climbed over the balcony.

He didn’t have much time before Xiao Ying returned to the dormitory, so he had to get things done as soon as possible.

Walking in a hurry, Mo Jingxuan didn’t notice that besides the watch on the sofa, there was also a mobile phone lying quietly between some pillows…

Coming down from the balcony, Mo Jingxuan began running towards the secluded wall near the school woods. This was a place he had discovered while he was still a shadow, and it was remarkably in line with his requirements at the moment; it was so out of the way that almost no students were ever near it.

Mo Jingxuan originally had intended to climb over the wall, but it was only after he tried that he realized the school had specially treated it to prevent students from skipping. It was so slippery that he was utterly unable to get a foothold. There was no choice left but for him to leave from the main entrance, not forgetting to tell the guard on shift that he would be back soon and to remember him.

A large area of the land near the school was still privately owned by it, and no private buses or taxis were allowed to enter. Mo Jingxuan was left to run again for around ten minutes before he finally saw a taxi and could catch his breath. Clambering into the car, Mo Jingxuan went straight to the law firm, got a copy of the annex of estate distribution from a lawyer, and took a taxi to the Mo’s main company building.

Standing in front of the Mo’s building, Mo Jingxuan stared at the majestic building in awe. He felt calm as he touched the papers he was holding, ready to face his father with confidence and get back what was rightfully his. The annex of inheritance distribution might not be enough, but he had prepared many tricks to ensure that he got what he wanted today.

Mo Jingxuan touched his pocket, his face suddenly showing instant regret. He had left his phone in the dorms! He had no way to record the conversation now, but he had come too far to just turn around. With a grimace, Mo Jingxuan ignored the skips in his heart and went to enter the towering building in front of him.

“Hello sir! Please show your pass!” A burly security guard at the door blocked his way before he got very far.

Placing a calm smile on his face, Mo Jingxuan replied, “I’m looking for Mo Zhenhao, I’m his eldest son.”

The security guard was stunned for a moment; the aura of the young man in front of him was so strong, but thinking a bit more, he was a bit uncertain. He asked his colleagues, “Doesn’t Mr. Mo only have one son?”

The colleague nodded, “I’ve never heard of him having another.”

Mo Jingxuan sneered as he looked on, “Why would Mo Zhenhao tell others that he has an idiot for a son? He cares so much about face, of course you’d only have heard of my brother!”

“This–” The security guard hesitated, fearing that the imposing and handsome young man in front of him really was his future boss. Wasn’t he throwing away his job if he turned him away now? But if he was a liar, then that was no simple matter either.

“Okay, tell the front desk to call Mo Zhenhao and tell him that Mo Jingxuan has come to look for him.” Pausing, Mo Jingxuan added, “Tell him to be sure to remember who I am, else I’m afraid I won’t be able to control my mouth outside.”

The security guard nodded blankly and trotted to the front desk.

After returning to his post after some time had passed, he bowed to Mo Jingxuan with an apology, “Sorry Young Master Mo for wasting your time, Mr. Mo is waiting for you upstairs!”

Nodding, Mo Jingxuan left and took the elevator to the top floor.

The entire floor was Mo Zhenhao’s independent office area, with only one separate reception desk near the elevator.

The moment the beautiful secretary saw Mo Jingxuan, her eyes burst full of surprise, and she bent over with a bright smile on her face, “Hello Young Master Mo, the president is waiting for you inside.”

Mo Jingxuan ignored the shining eyes of the secretary and stepped forward, brushing past her and selecting the most delicate pen from her desk on his way, pushing open the intricate door to his father’s office.

Looking up at the sound of the door being opened, Mo Zhenhao frowned, “You don’t even know how to knock, what happened to your upbringing?”

Mo Jingxuan raised his eyebrows and sat calmly on the sofa in front of him, “I slept for too long. I forgot.”

Mo Zhenhao’s face was sullen as he tried to increase the pressure on the young man who had invited himself in, “Your wings are so stiff, daring to contradict me after running away for a few days. Where is your face, having the gall to leave without a word, beat your brother, and still come back begging to see me?”

Mo Jingxuan’s face was full of sarcasm as he listened to the words his father was spewing out. Begging? Ha! “Who made my father treat me so well? He married back a stepmother for me not long after my mother passed away and even allocated a servant’s room for me while I was stuck in a coma. After all, if I woke up and found that I had made him get sick I would be heartbroken! He even paid so much attention to my safety that the public doesn’t know I exist at all! And to spare my embarrassment he even ignored the injuries on my face when I walked in! I really don’t think I could ask for a better father if I tried!!”

“Mo Jingxuan!” Mo Zhenhao’s face was livid as his anger flushed it bright red, “I am your father! However I want to treat you, it is my right!”

“And I just have to bear it? Do you think that you are an actor, that the whole world is an audience to revolve around you? You’re just the president of the Mo family, don’t think that you are the only one who is important. You can’t control the world, hell, you can’t even control your own son.”

“You—you—you—bastard, you really are a beast born to that slut! She really taught you to speak well!” Mo Zhenhao ground his teeth as he cursed, wishing he could rip this unwanted son to shreds.

“I’m a little bastard, so what are you? The bastard’s father? A big bastard?”

Face turning pale as his emotions turned, Mo Zhenhao barely managed to string sentences together in his rage, “You! Get out! I don’t have a son like you Mo Jingxuan, don’t let me see you again!”

“That won’t do father, I came all this way for a reason after all,” Mo Jingxuan took out the inheritance distribution documents from his pocket, “Spit out the money my mother left for me. It’s rightfully mine.”

Mo Zhenhao didn’t even bother to look at the documents, “That money is mine, if you want it back you’ll have to do better than that.”

“Okay then.” Mo Jingxuan folded the paperwork back up. “I’ll take this to the local news, I’m sure they would love to do a story over the famous President Mo cheating in marriage and embezzling his son’s inheritance.” As he spoke, he took out the pen he had grabbed from the secretary’s desk earlier and fiddled with it back and forth, “With this recording pen…I’m sure I can describe Mo Zhenhao’s life vividly.” He finished speaking and didn’t wait for Mo Zhenhao’s reaction as he headed straight to the door.

“Stop!!”

Mo Jingxuan turned his head leisurely.

Mo Zhenhao was so angry that his hands trembled. He took a check from the table and wrote a series of numbers, throwing it at Mo Jingxuan, “Take the money and get lost, don’t let me see you again.”

Looking at the check that fell on the ground in front of him, Mo Jingxuan’s eyes flashed. Standing motionless, he looked at Mo Jingxuan with a sneer, waiting for him to pick it up.

Mo Zhenhao’s eyelids trembled, but after a long stalemate between the father and son, he got up from his seat to bend over on the ground and pick up the abandoned check. Sleeping it heavily on Mo Jingxuan’s chest, he stretched out his hand, “Recording pen.”

Throwing the pen on the ground, Mo Jingxuan left Mo Zhenhao’s office without looking back. As for the fact that the so-called recording pen was a fake, Mo Zhenhao could find that out himself.

Leaving for the bank, Mo Jingxuan immediately transferred all fifty million to Xiao Ying’s card. Once he had finished, he took out his ID card to open an account in the stock exchange, still binding the cash flow to Xiao Ying’s account. By the time he had finished all his tasks, it was almost noon, and Mo Jingxuan took a taxi back to the school.

Sitting in the car, he felt a bit uneasy as he comforted himself; Xiao Ying said that he had to eat with some students at noon. For him to take such care in meeting them, they definitely had special identities. Even if it took a while to get back to school, a group of people could eat for at least a few hours, and nothing would feel strange…there would surely be no problem with his short absence as long as Xiao Ying didn’t know.
