As Xia Zhilan walked out onto the set, Qiao Min couldn't help but ask, once again "Are you sure you don't want to ask for a stunt double, Miss Xia? You haven't gotten a lot of rest recently, is your body alright?"

Xia Zhilan laughed lightly.

"For just a simple scene, that's not necessary," she said cooly as she turned around and patted Qiao Min's hair gently

Qiao Min looked up at Zhilan's beautiful face and couldn't help but blush bright pink.

'Boss is too handsome!'

When Qiao Min woke up from her daze, Xia Zhilan was already standing in the middle of the set confidently.

They quickly began the shoot.

As a group of men began to corner her, the dainty figure quickly aimed a sharp kick at one of the men's ċhėst which caused the man to fly back into a wall, unconscious. Xia Zhilan suddenly turned her head before grabbing the fist which was attempting to attack her from behind and viciously threw him over her shoulder. Before anyone could even react, she had darted over to whoever was nearest and was already throwing punches at him. However, as the rest of the men began surrounding her once again, Xia Zhilan did an elegant backflip and with her bȧrė hands, ripped a steel pipe from the wall.

Although they had already seen multiple fight scenes from her, they couldn't help but blankly stare at the petite woman who was ruthlessly pummelling a group of fully grown men with beautifully executed moves.

Finally, Xia Zhilan knocked the last man back with a loud crash.

Just as everyone was about to applaud this gorgeous performance, an angry voice pierced the surroundings.

"Feng Hai, what the hell are you doing? Did you forget your role or something?" Director Sheng yelled. "You were supposed to jump in and save her. Why are you just standing there?!"

"And Xia Zhilan..."

Zhilan looked up and smiled obediently "Yes, Director Sheng?"

"You-" he just sighed "Nevermind. You can take a quick break."

After Director Sheng finished shouting at Feng Hai, the male lead of the movie, he reviewed the footage.

Every single shot of that fight scene was stunning.

Although they had planned a choreography for Xia Zhilan and the other fighters to follow, Zhilan decided to do her own thing and it turned out much better than planned.

It was clear that she had carefully planned every move so that every shot would be stunning and clear.

'A genius. No other word for it...' the director thought to himself whilst tugging his hair in frustration.'That idiot, Feng Hai ruined it! But... this shot is too perfect, I can't just scrap it.' .

Meanwhile, the group of fighting extras limped out slowly.

Although they had no marks or bruises on their bodies, the areas that were hit by Xia Zhilan were sore.

"What the hell does that girl eat? Her punches and kicks are so strong but she's so tiny!"

"My ċhėst hurts..." another said as he massaged his ċhėst pitifully

"You guys are such wimps, it didn't even hurt that badly, stop whining."

"Shut the hell up! You only got hit by that fake styrofoam pipe!"

"She fuċkɨnġ fly-kicked me into a wall! Thank God, the wall is padded."

Fortunately for them, Director Sheng ended up changing the script slightly and removed the part where Feng Hai jumps in and saves her which meant they didn't have to refilm that shoot.

"Miss Xia, you looked so awesome just then!" Qiao Min said excitedly, her eyes glowing brightly "I want to learn how to fight as well. It looks so cool!"

Xia Zhilan smiled brilliantly.

"With me around you won't need to learn" she winked playfully. "I'll protect you."

'So cool...'

"I'm joking haha, learning self-defence is a pretty nice life skill to have, Qiao Min. Even learning a couple of basic moves can be very useful."

"Oh yes, Miss Xia, you have a quick meeting with vice-president Tang Yu in 2 hours at XXX restaurant." Qiao Min said suddenly, reverting back to her 'professional ȧssistant' state.

"2 hours? Hmm... Yeah, I should be able to finish filming my scene for the day in 1 and a half hour. Unless somebody messes up, so they better not."

Just as Zhilan had planned, she finished on time and made it to her meeting with Tang Yu, the vice-president of Orchid Entertainment.

"President Xia." he greeted with respect.

"Speak." Xia Zhilan said as she sat down with a cold face.

"Our new business partner, the Yao family, suddenly withdrew from the collaboration with us. I've already done an investigation and as expected someone behind the scene has been pressuring them - the Fang family."

"The Fang family?"

"Yes. We only lost a couple of 100 thousand dollars however I'm afraid the Fang family could potentially cause a couple of bigger problems for us. It seems we have offended them somehow. I've gathered all information available about them already." He slid a thin brown envelope of documents over.

As Xia Zhilan scanned through the documents, the vice-president continued "The Fang family isn't actually that powerful but they have a relationship with the Yao family which is why they withdrew from the project. Orchid Entertainment is in a pretty unstable state right now so I thought it'd be safer to be prepared in case they try something else."

'Yo, the Fang family? Isn't that girl who's been trying to cause problems at work, also named Fang? Fang Shufen. Are they related?" Xia Zhilan thought to herself.

"Why is the Fang family targeting us?" Zhilan asked.

"Us, as a company, has never run into them at all but you have. Fang Shufen, the second oldest daughter and one of your coworkers in your movie."

"Oh, I had a feeling this was the case... Yes, I supposed if offended her?"

"She must have seen some of the rumours that somehow got out, about you and the company. Then she probably complained to her parents so they caused some problems with Orchid Entertainment." Tang Yu said.

"Is that it?"

"Yes, President."

"Alright and good work. Continue sending me the daily company reports."

Whilst Xia Zhilan and Tang Yu were discussing more business-related matters, somebody was sneakily spying on them.
