"Ah, it's raining! Luckily I brought my umbrella today!" Lu Li said in relief whilst very subtly holding her c.h.e.s.t tightly.

As Lu Li watched the couple leave under a black umbrella with a perfect smile, her eyes watered and tears threatened to come out. She lowered her head slightly.

When Lu Li looked back up again, the watery eyes were gone and she wore a genuine happy smile.

"As long as you two are happy... I won't be here for much longer anyway." She mumbled quietly before stepping out into the rain, empty-handed, towards the cafe she worked at as her hair and clothes quickly got 'drenched'.

Of course, Xia Zhilan was not wet at all - her acting was just too realistic.

The director, his assistants and everyone else watched, stared at Xia Zhilan for a couple of seconds in shock before clapping in amazement.

"Perfect! That was stunning!" Director Zhao said in delight as he jumped to his feet.

"Thank you for your kind words, director Zhao. I'm flattered" Xia Zhilan said humbly, flushing slightly

"Woah, I've seen and worked with so many famous actors but none of them are on the same level as this girl! Who is she?" The other helpers started gossiping amongst themselves.

"I don't know either but, wow, her acting... It s.u.c.k.e.d me into it! I could feel the relief and loneliness coming from her..."

Although this scene had very few and simple lines, this was no doubt one of the most difficult scenes of the entire series. The actress who had to play Lu Li must have masterful control over their facial expressions otherwise this scene wouldn't produce the effect the director and the screenwriter wanted. However, Xia Zhilan managed to produce Lu Li from their imagination perfectly!

Xia Zhilan displayed a perfect combination of sadness, loneliness, happiness and relief beautifully.

Almost every other actress who auditioned could only display either only sadness and loneliness or happiness and relief.

"Cancel the other auditions, we've found our Lu Li!" Director Zhao said to his assistant happily.

After signing some doc.u.ments, Xia Zhilan is officially the actor of Lu Li in «Stars in the Window»

As they finally cast all the main characters in the series, the entire team had a celebratory banquet to get to know their coworkers for the next months.

With Xia Zhilan's extraordinary charm and charisma she easily clicked with everyone - even the arrogant and lofty entertainment stars of Country A.

However, Xia Zhilan could only enjoy the free food and social time for half an hour as she still had the other audition for the action movie.

As Xia Zhilan sat on her chair like a noble queen on her throne, indifferently watching the other actors perform their scenes, a tall man suddenly approached her with a polite smile.

"Good morning Miss Zhilan" He greeted with a bright smile as he sat down beside her "I heard you just came to Country A a month ago, how has it been so far?"

Xia Zhilan frowned slightly.

"Who are you?" she said with an icy voice.

"...What do you mean?" he asked, maintaining his smile "We met at the banquet a couple days ago... I'm Li Jianhong, the male lead of this series?"

Seeing his confused face, Xia Zhilan laughed gently "I'm only kidding, how could I forget you, Li Jianhong, a top-tier actor with such a handsome face?"

The two continued their small talk for a couple minutes until the assistant called for Lu Jianhong.

The moment he left the temperature around Xia Zhilan seemed to drop as her face turned icy.

'Host, what's wrong?' the system asked in concern.

'Find out everything on that man, Li Jianhong.'

Although System 005 was confused, it did as it was told and quickly pulled out all the information available on him.

'He's just a normal A-list actor based in Country A and has no connections to any of the main characters of the main plot. He recently won 'Best Actor' last year and is signed to Myriad of Stars, one of the top entertainment agencies in the country. Aged 26.'

'Host, why does he matter? Have you fallen in love with him at first sight?'

Xia Zhilan rolled her eyes 'Of course not!'

'Then why do you want information on him? He hasn't had any known official romantic relations since he began his acting career 4 years ago apart from a couple of rumours.'

'I told you, I haven't fallen in love with him!'

'Then why?'

'He doesn't belong here.' Xia Zhilan told the system calmly but confidently
