PS I'm Over You

Eli commanded one of his assistants to follow the tracks outside the window and check if there are other survivors they should eliminate. He was about to turn around and leave when he heard a muffled sound near the huge bookshelf on his right.

"Pathetic idiot" Eli muttered to himself fighting the urge to roll his eyes at the man's stupidity. And yet he calls himself a mafia lord? What a joke.

Making his way to the bookshelf, he noticed a suspicious book that was moved in an awkward position. Unlike the other hardbound books that are neatly organized in alphabetical order. This one was laying flat on the corner and it seems it was recently moved as the pages were turned and folded.

Eli turned and twisted the book and the bookshelf slid to the left revealing a secret passage. Following the path with his assistant, they found their target, trying to reload one of his carbines from his collection. Before he could finish what he was doing, Eli's assistant shot both of his hands making him scream in the pain. He fell on his knees with agony on his face.

The man is already in his forties. Eli thought that this is kind of useless to deal with. Although the Yang Family was the one contracted to kill Ririna Han, the mastermind is still unknown at this moment. Could they get more information from this bastard? It's very unlikely. Eli's men already killed most of the members of the Yang family than even the children weren't spared.

He is sniveling and mumbling in pain with his face full of disdain and clothes in a mess, stained with blood. If they had known that the devil himself will pay them a visit to settle a debt, he would have hired more assassins and guards to protect his manor.

Eli loomed over the man, his finger tapping the trigger of his pistol as if waiting for the man to confess what he knows. The head of the Yang family is a weak man hiding in his wealth. He doesn't deserve to work within the Underworld.

"You will get nothing from me. That woman is so unfortunate that she became a pawn between two successors of Hattori Ikeda," the man sneered at Eli. Eli's face remained the same, cold and impassive. He looked down as if the man is a c.o.c.kroach that he could crush under his foot anytime.

"Successors?" Eli raised a brow. Now, this makes sense. Someone already mentioned that Hattori Ikeda is a title passed down to generation. What does Ririna have anything to do with the succession of the next Hattori?

"Master. Your next order, please." Eli's assistant asked without leaving his gaze on their target. This isn't the first time that they did a massacre. The other agents had also discovered a nasty room where the Yang family tortured their victims before gathering the internal organs of the missing children within the New Global City. They wondered if the Yang family is connected to the series of missing children at the Northern Provinces.

"Take him and bring him to the Eastern Province. Burn this mansion down to the ground make sure you destroy all the evidence and kill all the kin of this man. I'm pretty sure Ririna's pet is willing to play some game with him."

Eli was talking about the brown bear cub that Ririna adopted while she was training at the Eastern Province. The mother of the cub was killed by the hunters and the young Ririna was able to save it from starvation. Now, that cub grew up to a.d.u.l.t one and the only person who can command it aside from its owner is the devil himself.

They need more information from this man, and what else could they do but torture him until he let out everything he knows about the contract and the bounty on Ririna's head.

A man loomed over the still form of the woman lying on the hospital bed. He traced her pale cheeks with the back of his hand and looked down with sadness and despair.

"You shouldn't have chosen the devil over me. Not now that I have a chance to give you everything you wanted. Once I kill the devil and his spawn, you are going to be mine."
