Pokemon: Ultimate Generations

With the appearance of such Pokemon, both of them were fired up to catch them. It would be a lie to say that Gan didn't want these Pokemon for himself, but he couldn't be like that towards Warren. However, with Arlo, it was a different story, he didn't have any problem taking this Cubone for himself.

"I am about to attack, I'll send Venomoth over to do its thing to make them easy pickings." Warren glared at Charmander; Gan had never seen him like this before.

"Okay, I want that Cubone!" Arlo said with a smile.

"Oh, you want Cubone? For what? So you can treat it like sh** as you do with your Ekans?" Gan sneered, he knew the history of Cubone in this world and it wasn't a good one. In the hands of Arlo, it could only be miserable.

"W-what? I stopped treating my Pokemon like that!" Arlo hurriedly and said.

"Yeah, sure you did. Unless you can send out your Ekans to help take these 2 down, then you can forget it." He may have found them, but they both had sent him on the run for help.

"....." Arlo couldn't say anything.

"Do you need any help fighting these 2, Warren?" Warren could usually handle the work himself, so Gan asked to confirm.

"Oh, no, bro, I think I got this one in the bag." Warren smiled, but his eyes stayed on the duo moving rocks. Gan nodded and didn't make a move, while Warren commanded his Venomoth to do its thing.

As usual, Venomoth came upon the duo silently. Of course, Crobat was better at sneaking up on people, it was a silent killer, and extremely fast at that. Venomoth released its spores and the 2 hadn't noticed anything. They both began to wobble sideways; Cubone looked up and saw the perpetrator causing this, but it was too late.

They both fell to the ground fast asleep!

"Haha, good job Venomoth! I'll be sure to give you extra berries later!" Warren roared in laughter, as Venomoth also seemed to be extremely happy hearing Warren's words.

Warren took out a Pokeball and quickly tossed it at Charmander, encapsulating it. Gan did the same thing, he took a Pokeball out and tossed it towards Cubone. Arlo sighed, but what could he do? His Ekans was currently knocked out.

Both Pokemon shook from left to right, but...they both broke out. Charmander was the first to break out of its Pokeball, and it woke up immediately after.

"Damn it, then it's a fight !" Warren cursed. Soon after, Cubone followed by bursting out and waking up. Charmander and Cubone both locked onto Venomoth the minute they exited their Pokeballs.

"Char~!" Charmander released an Ember from its mouth that appeared to look like a bullet on fire. Venomoth didn't need to be ordered around to know that this attack should be dodged.

"Playing hard to catch, this won't be easy." Gan squinted and said.

"Hehe, I shouldn't have expected it to be a walk in the park but it's okay, it's better this way. Psybeam!" Warren was still grinning happily as he commanded Venomoth.

Venomoth shot a Psybeam towards the 2, but they were already running to cover the minute they saw a light appear in Venomoth's mouth. They both took cover behind a few pillars of rocks to avoid the Psybeam.

"Smart S.O.B, arent they!?" Just when Warren was about to have Venomoth go over to fish them out; a smokescreen covered the area.

"Uh, oh, are they running away from here?" Gan wasn't sure, but this was their home, would they just abandon it like that? Right when Gan said that; something came out of the smokescreen and smacked Venomoth.

Venomoth stumbled in the air but remained balanced, it was Cubone's Bonemerang move. The Bone came back and full speed, it seemed to have locked onto Venomoth.

"Dodge it, quickly!" Warren called out. Venomoth flew higher to dodge the attack, but at that moment; a strange blue wave of energy came upon Venomoth.

Warren was stunned but it was too late to dodge this attack! Venomoth was actually blown out of the sky from the attack. Gan recognized this move as Dragon's rage. If you played the games, then you would know that this move was stupidly powerful; at least early in the game.

Even if a Pokemon's level was higher by 10 levels, it would take about 2 to 3 of these to take them down. This was mainly because it took down a certain amount of Hp, and for a Pokemon like Venomoth with a small Health pool, it was devastating.

Venomoth fell to the ground, it had been hurt badly but it could still fight.

"These 2 have clearly trained together in order to stave off threats!" Gan just looked on. It was clear that these 2 had battled side by side for a while now, they had even concocted a way to fight enemies!

They both had their own strategy to deal with most enemies, even Golbat had to be careful not to get beaten down. Venomoth took to the air again, but it was on the lookout this time, it was also a bit nervous from that last attack.

"Uh, about that help? It isn't too late to get that offer again, right?" Warren smiled strangely, he wasn't expecting these 2 to be so troublesome.

"I was waiting, let's do this!" Gan summoned Koffing and Grimer to battle. Warren also sent out his Zubat to ȧssist in this battle as well.

Gan had to say... Warren went far out for this Pokemon, he even taught Zubat many TMs.

"Zubat, use Light screen; make sure to apply to this to our allies Koffing, Grimer, and Venomoth." A translucent barrier appeared around Koffing and the rest. This would weaken special attacks, but Physical orientated attacks wouldn't be weakened.

Another round of Embers came out of the smokescreen, it appeared that Charmander used another smokescreen to keep the smoke going. Strangely, there were a lot of Ember attacks firing out of the smokescreen; Gan couldn't help but think that this illegal.

Zubat flew around Grimer the majority of the time to guard it with Protect. But special attacks like Ember could easily be shrugged off by Grimer. Cubone and Charmander kept attacking from the smoke, it didn't look like there would be an end to this.

"Okay, you guys want to attack from the smoke, but I wonder how long you'll last with this type of smog. Koffing and Grimer, bombard the smokescreen with Poison Gas!" Charmander and Cubone refused to come out, and it was hard to pinpoint their position.

"You too, Venomoth! Fill that area up with Poison Powder!" Warren also found this to be a good idea. They wanted to fight from the smoke, then they could only route them out with poison.

All at once, the trio unleashed their poison into the smokescreen. Purple fog mixed with the gray cloud of smoke and permeated the area in seconds. There was nothing but poison Pokemon on their side, so none of them were affected.

Gan and everyone else made sure to stay away from the area while this was going on. At this point, it was just a waiting game; these Pokemon were smarter than usual. The smokescreen began to die down, it was clear that Charmander had stopped its use of this move.

"Oh?" Warren and Gan were surprised, it wasn't just one Charmander, but another had somehow appeared alongside them. Unfortunately, it had also suffered from Poison but this explained why so many Embers were launched at that time. It must have been in the den when all of this was going on and came out to help fight the attackers.

The talent of this Charmander was the same as its other buddies, which was Gold rank. Warren's eyes went wide, and without a word, he tossed a Pokeball at one of the Charmander.

Gan was the same, he tossed a Luxuryball at Charmander and a Pokeball at Cubone. This Charmander's talent was better than the one he found near Mt. Moon, so why not take it? He may not use it for his team for this Generation, but he might run with a Charizard for Johto.

Typhlosion was cool and all, but he liked Charizard better. After they shook for a while, both Charmanders were caught, but Cubone broke out of the Pokeball again!

"Stubborn thing, huh?" Warren was secretly elated, he was jumping in joy in his mind but he couldn't help but comment on Cubone's stubbornness.

"Zubat, Wing Attack!" Zubat flew from its place by Grimer's side and rushed over towards Cubone. Its ground type attacks could do nothing to it, and it wasn't aware of that.

Cubone's bone flashed for a second and it smashed its bone towards Zubat. Unfortunately, the attack looked like it just bounced off Zubat, it wasn't effective at all. Cubone was hit in the throat by the Wing Attack and was sent flying backwards.

Gan tossed another Pokeball at Cubone, the one he tossed before broke when the Pokemon freed itself. This time, it was a success, Gan really had to give it up to Poison-type Pokemon. It wasn't his favorite type, but it got the job done when it came to a waiting game.

"Hell, Yeah!! I caught a friggin Charmander!" Warren clenched his fist and celebrated, this was his best catch yet.

"Sigh, you guys are happy, but what about me? I didn't catch anything and I'm the one that discovered them." Arlo sighed. He didn't get anything from this, but he was the one that found them to begin with.

"There are more of those Cubones in this cave, we'll find another one and we'll help you catch it." Gan grinned and patted Arlo on the shoulder. They all searched the cave again but didn't find any Cubones or Charmanders around.

They searched for a full hour... but nothing.

"Damn, I don't see that Boneheaded Pokemon anymore!" Arlo was feeling upset with this revelation.

"Then they're on the lower floors, we'll check that place out next but not before going back to check that area out." Gan wanted to do a clean sweep on this floor before advancing to the next one.

"Oh, the place where that Graveler was located?" Warren asked.

"Yes... but first, I think we should eat, did you bring some food?" Gan was hungry and so was everyone else.

Warren pulled out some Magikarp meat that needed to be cook, so Warren summoned his Charmander. He gave it a Potion and an Antidote to restore it back to full, in order to start a fire. They started to cook the Magikarp over the fire, Gan had never had Magikarp but he heard it tasted amazing.

"Hmm...." Gan looked at Charmander, "Are you guys familiar with Mega Evolution?" Gan suddenly asked the 2.
