2 weeks later.

*OOK OOK OOK OOK*

A red haired girl and a blue and black dog were fighting a big ape, the dog was surrounded in white light as it avoided the ape furious punches. From time to time, it would punch the air and something that looked like a wave flew out, hitting and injuring the ape.

"Riolu, Counter!!" Screamed the girl.

The dog was suddenly faintly enveloped in a orange light, you couldn't see it if you didn't pay enough attention. It stopped moving around and stood still facing the ape, it was in a defensive position.

The ape didn't care about anything and simply punched Riolu, who took the blow with his arm, and flew back because of the force of the punch. Then, something weird happened. The ape, who was three times Riolu size, suddenly flew backwards, even more than Riolu. It spat blood as it did so,falling on the ground in total confusion and pain.

"Sorry partner."

Blake ran to Riolu side and made him drink a potion, his arm was in terrible conditions from the punch he received earlier. Riolu arm,that was supposed to be broken, rotated back to it's initial position and all wounds on him also healed at a visible speed, he was ready to go back.

"It's about time to finish this. Go!"

"Riolu!!"

Riolu glowed in white light and ran to the fallen ape, landing a punch in it's face. The ape was seriously injured and was barely able to resist, trying to swap away Riolu. Riolu easily dodged it's attacks and didn't stop punching it's head, his punches were powerful even if he wasn't using a pokemon move since he was a fighting type.

The ape wasn't able to stand up, and Riolu was sending a barrage of punches on it's head. It didn't last long in this situation, and after a short while, it stopped moving forever.

Riolu got away from the ape corpse, his hands covered in blood and he was panting a lot. This fight wasn't easy, they were having fights like this since the first day they came to this forest, and Riolu was getting a lot of EXP and battle experience.

The ape earlier was a beast commonly seen the middle layers of Black Bear forest, and it was easily stronger than the alpha wolf in Green Bark forest. They used it's aggressive battle style against it, successfully landing a Counter.

Blake also got to know how Counter worked in here, the user was covered in a faint barely visible orange light, and anyone who hits a physical move on the user will get two times the force rebounded into them. It probably had limitations, or else Riolu cold just use Endure, Counter, and potentially kill the strongest in this world. As for how much force it could take, Blake never saw it's limit until now.

He had theory of how it worked, Blake thought it had something to do with Newton law of action and reaction, the reaction that the opponent gets from punching Riolu is just amplified. Obviously, this was something coming from a guy like him who had shitty physics knowledge.

"Hmmm... We can't take this to the city... It's too big..." Said Blake as he looked at the corpse. The thing was taller than him, no way in hell he could fit it into his bag.

"Tch, no choice. Let's search around for something so we don't go home empty handed."

"Riolu!"

And they both set off, leaving the ape corpse on the ground. They searched around the middle layers of the forest, going deeper was too dangerous. Suddenly, both found out something new.

"Isn't this.... A waterfall?" Blake was staring at a waterfall, it wasn't a powerful one. It obviously had a river, the water in it was incredibly clean.

"Riolu, let's take a break around here." Blake thought this place was perfect for this.

"Riolu!!"

Minutes later in the waterfall, you could see Riolu sitting cross legged into a rock, meditating. Blake was just beside him, training with a dagger. He bought this dagger for around thirty copper coins, it was expensive even though it was just a low quality dagger, weapons are all worth a lot after all.

Blake knows that he won't be fighting enemies directly, but there was no reason to not be careful. He feels safer with it in it's belt, and by the way he also had to buy this damn belt together with a sheath. Weapons don't follow you after all, you had to have something to put them into.

He shouted as he cut, stabbed, and sometimes even dodged, the air. He was fighting a imaginary enemy. Riolu stood still the entire time, like he couldn't hear Blake shouting just besides him. He was meditating to sense Aura, and his ability Inner Focus helped him a lot in that.

Riolu doesn't stop meditating once he started unless it was time to go or a emergency, he was as concentrated as a actual monk. Blake already knows about this since it isn't the first time they did it.

He stopped his training, sitting in on a rock while panting. He was drenched in sweat, this drained his strength a lot. He suddenly glanced at the river, it's clean water was a irresistible temptation to the current him.

"You know what, screw it." He started undressing, got n.a.k.e.d and jumped at the river.

"Ahhhh... This is bliss...." The temperature of the water was just perfect, Blake didn't want to get out of it for a long time.

Unfortunately, life was rough sometimes. Just 10 minutes later, Riolu suddenly opened his eyes and started shouting at him.

"Riolu!! Riolu!!!"

"What's wrong Riolu?" Blake was startled, and he saw Riolu make a hand sign. His face became bitter immediately. This hand signal meant someone or something approaching, and it wasn't only one.

"F**ckk!!"

He got out of the river ran to his clothes and hurriedly put them on, without caring if it would wet them or not. He was pissed that of all the times possible it just had to be now.

He put Riolu inside his pokeball in case it was humans coming, and stared at the direction they were coming from with wet clothes and hair. He had the stare of someone who was forcefully woken up early on Saturday.

He watched as the bushes moved, and saw six figures coming out from it. These figures were armed humans, probably a group of hunters.
