Chapter 32 - Confrontation

[Honedge grew to Level 13!]

[Honedge learned Aerial Ace.]

"Hahaha! Good work Honedge, that was really cool!" Blake walked to Honedge's side. She patted his head(hilt) in the small space she had to do it.

Honedge's body was different from Riolu's and she felt a cold, metallic feeling from her hand. Blake doesn't know if she was hallucinating or not, but she could swear Honedge's unchanging expression had some slight embarrassment.

"Honedge.." Honedge voice seemed a little weaker than normal.

"Riolu!" Riolu grabbed Blake's pants pulled it a little. He seemed a bit dissatisfied. Blake was confused but quickly understood what was happening.

"Hehe, so you are jealous Riolu? Don't worry, I didn't forget about you." Blake patted Riolu with a big smile.

"Come here both of you!" Blake grabbed both into a hug. After three whole minutes of petting and laughing, they stopped and she remembered the real reason why they went to this forest in the first place.

They searched around the forest in the same way they searched for Yellow-Leaf Herbs back then, separated but near each other to prevent problems.

After about an hour of search, Blake figured out where Purple-Root Herbs usually grow. They were interestingly quite different from of Yellow-Leaf Herbs in this.

They grew in places with few amounts of sunlight, normally in closed off places that had small spaces to sunlight to enter. They could also grow in the shades of trees since there was quite the amount of shadows in such a big forest, but it was a little bit unusual.

They found twelve Purple-Root Herbs, and Honedge was the main contributor to this. Since he could go through rocks, he could quickly go in, search for herbs and get out if there was none.

Blake and Riolu could only use brute force to open up places they thought were suspicious, and if there was nothing, it would just be a huge waste of time and strength. It's no wonder why the mission only needed three herbs for such a reward, the average outer disciple would have some trouble doing this alone.

Even with Honedge's help, they still took three more hours since he also needed to rest after going through walls, this drained quite the amount of energy if the wall was thick after all.

She walked back to the sect, gave the already tired from work Zhao Long the three herbs and completed the mission, getting both Spirt Stones and money from the system. The mission from the system was something like this:

[Herb Collection 2]

'Collect three Purple-Root Herbs'

Reward: 150¥

She was now in her way back to the cave she called home, she was going to do her usual routine of cultivating, training sword combat a little bit and sleeping, the same thing she did everyday. That was when she spotted something unusual near her cave.

Two people, a girl and a boy were there. The girl was lying on the ground in front of the boy, her cheek had a slap mark, and she was doing her best to not cry. The boy had a enraged face filled with contempt as he looked down at her.

Blake recognized the girl, and her expression changed. The girl was Ye Xia, the servant that showed the place around for her. Her footsteps became more hurried and she approached enough to hear what was going on...

"A servant dares to bump into me?! Did my reputation fall to the point of even a mere servant daring to mock me now?!!" He was wearing the robes of a outer sect disciple.

"I am deeply sorry master! This was completely accidental, I swear this won't happen ever again!" Ye Xia shakily answered and kowtowed to the disciple, still forcing herself to not cry.

"Shut up!!" The disciple lifted his foot to kick her.

"STOOP!!" Blake suddenly shouted and interrupted him.

"Hm?" The disciple stopped, and both him and Ye Xia looked at the direction of the yell. The figure of Blake with a enraged face was there.

"Leave her alone!! Why are you even doing this?" Blake already knew what was happening from what she heard. Ye Xia must've accidentally bumped into this disciple who was already mad for some other reason, and he is feeling like beating her for it.

'This isn't going to work.' Blake has zero experience in threatening someone, so she knows she isn't going to be able to make this guy go away just with words like this.

She also can't just go and beat the crap out of the guy because of the sect rules, a confrontation between disciples is gonna get both of them punished since the sect doesn't care about servants.

"Are you acquainted with this servant, woman? Doesn't matter, I won't just let this slide without compensation." Blake started feeling some pressure from this guy. She flared up her Qi in response, and the disciple frowned. They were both in the third stage of the Body Refinement Realm.

"A conflict will be bad for both of us here. Hey servant, stand up." He said to Ye Xia. Ye Xia obediently stood up and fearfully looked at him. Blake was fixedly staring at him, still somewhat hesitant because of the sect punishment.

*PAH*

Blake eyes suddenly widened. The disciple strongly slapped Ye Xia's other cheek! Her face was filled with pain.

"With this the matter will be settled, don't let you dog wander next ti- UGHHHHH!" His words were cut short.

'What the hell.'

This was all Blake thought at this moment. She doesn't know what happened, but when the disciple slapped Ye Xia, some kind of fuse blew in her. She ran and punched him at the face with full force, there were some small amounts of flame in her fist.

The disciple was caught almost completely off guard and fell down to the ground, the impact to his head made him dizzy for a moment. He stood back up holding his head with one hand and glared at her with immense rage. Ye Xia was watching everything in the side looking terrified.

"HOW DARE YOU HIT ME!! I WILL BEAT YOU TO DEATH!!"

Blake doesn't understand what is happening right now. Looking at the disciple, all she is feeling is rage and the d.e.s.i.r.e to battle him, she was acting in a very impulsive way unlike how she acts normally.

The punishment from the sect wasn't going to be small, since they needed to set an example, to prevent disciples to go around killing each other. This could very well get Fang Qing and Little Xun involved, and it would bring trouble considering their current situation. Even knowing all that, she subconsciously punched the guy, throwing all caution out of the window.

As she looked at the disciple who took an fighting stance and was approaching her, she grabbed the hilt of her sword, not noticing small bits of flame appearing all over her body. And just when Blake was about to unsheathe her sword and start a brutal fight, a voice interrupted them...

"STOP THIS RIGHT NOW!!"

The shout came with a certain pressure, and both stopped at the same time, Blake also woke up from her rage-filled stupor. She recognized the voice, it was Little Xun!

Little Xun stood in front of Blake and glared daggers at the disciple, releasing a great deal of pressure in him.

"Sixth stage..." The disciple clenched his fists and teeth, and with a 'Hmph', tunerd around to go away.

"Woman, this isn't over! We will settle this in the tournament!" He shouted before going away.

After the guy was far away, Blake sighed in relief and went to comfort the terrified Ye Xia.
