Outcast

Following Gorm out of the Cavern Valoris quickly realized he needed to get used to the sudden changes to his body as he kept stumbling and moving faster then he expected.

His body felt lighter and sturdier and more alive at the same time. Gorm began explaining the history and the structure of the Crimson Flame tribe. While it does mainly focus on flame element Cultivation they do have at least one teacher for each element.

As a kobold with a storm dragon lineage, Valoris would cultivate in wind and lightning dual elements. Once he gained initial mastery over these elements he would be able to call down lightning, creating terrifying thunder, stir up tornadoes, use the wind to increase his speed in the sky.

The two dragonkin eventually reach a large valley where a large number of magical beasts are going about their day. In one corner there seems to be an ancient tortoise speaking about the basics of earth cultivation.

In another wide-open space is a sparring arena as two or more magical beasts would start sparring together. At a different area, beasts are buying and selling treasures, herbs, and dead magical beasts body parts.

Gorm took him to a corner of the valley where a large Thunderbird with a sharp hooked beak like an eagle's, golden metallic feathers, and large claws covered in golden scales was teaching 3 young magical beasts of different evolutions.

"Shale this is Valoris who I think you will be uniquely qualified to teach about cultivation" chuckled Gorm. Thunderbirds cultivate in wind and lightning elements like storm dragons which is an extremely rare dual cultivation. Rarely do beasts that cultivate in those elements meets others who do the same.

"Wind and lightning elements! hello, young Valoris. As you heard I am Shale and I would be honored to guide you in Cultivation."

"Thank you, Teacher, for your guidance," said Valoris while looking at the 3 other students.

One was a Dragonkin like him but of higher evolution. A young Wyrm of a Wind Dragon lineage with sky blue and white scales, a thin lean build, two thick white horns curling out from behind his ears and a long thin blade coming out of his tail.

The other two students were of a Birkin lineage. One a young Sky Raptor with brown feathers with a hind of blue on the end and the other a Thunder Eagle with golden scales instead of feathers on its body and head Only its wings had metallic golden-brown feathers.

" These are my other students. Varric is the young Wind Wyrms name, Tala is the Sky Raptor, and the Thunder Eagle is my son Shaw. " As Shale introduced his students Valoris greeted each of them.

" He is mostly going to be focusing on Body Refinement but I also want him to come learn from you to get started on the basics. I'm also going to be taking him to the arena every day to help him get used to the changes to his body and help fix his bad habits."

Gorm explained to Shale Valoris's training schedule. "Body Refinement? interesting choice but since you have a storm dragon lineage defense is something that would trouble you later on if you don't fix it. Anyways you must have just finished a refinement how about I have you go spar with my other students? That way you can also get some understanding on how to use the elements in a fight?"

"As Teacher wishes. Fellow students, please guide me" answered Valoris while following them to the Sparring arena excited.

Something he desperately lacked was fighting experience. Especially against aerial beasts, He was looking forward to gaining experience, especially against the Wind Wyrm.

Besides the mutated drake rats, he had never fought against another Dragonkin before. As he and the other students walked over to the Sparring arena they introduced themselves and talked amongst themselves.

"What tribe do you come from Valoris? I haven't heard of any Kobold tribe that has a storm dragon lineage?" Asked Varric confused.

" I come from the Bloody Fang Clan. But... I was born a Thinblood and sent to the Mines. because of my small size, I assigned as a scout. Luckily I came across some mutated rats that had found a Storm Wyverns corpse and gained his lineage. After killing them and eating their mutated dragon cores I managed to gain his lineage.

I learned his name was Valoris Stormfury and took his name" said Valoris a little nervously. Varric was a 2-year-old Wyrm with Pureblood potential. Their starting points were as different as heaven and earth.

"...Wow, that's incredible! hmm, Stormfury you say? I haven't heard that family name before. If you want I can ask my parents?

Since I come from a Wind dragon lineage who are descendants from Storm dragons and know most of their history." asked Varric

" Yes please! if he has any family still alive I want to let them know where they can find his skeleton. Plus I wouldn't mind if they caused some problems for the Bloody Fang Clan." Valoris said excitedly as they arrived at the sparring arena. "

First up is Valoris vs Shaw, both of you get ready" announced Shale.
