Chapter 38 - 38 Storm Tyrant

"Your Grandfather? why do I know that name?" I ask

" He is mentioned in that tome of notable members of the Taleos branch clan. Named the Storm Tyrant for his unparalleled control over elements, and for having taken out armies by himself.

He even gained understanding into the water element, so now he can create giant tsunamis and massive storms that can destroy entire armies."

Shocked, I stared at the glass. As I stared at it I could feel the tugging sensation again. Following it, I connected with the lightning stuck inside.

...

....

...

In a daze, I looked around. I was flying high above a giant army. Looking closer, I saw that it was made up of demons!

Checking myself over, I noticed that I was a massive Storm Dragon, even bigger than the Clan Alpha!

Suddenly, I start speaking. But not in a language I had ever heard before. Every word I say seems to send a shockwave through the air, almost as if the words are power incarnate.

After saying the last word, wind starts to swirl around me, picking up speed. The sky instantly darkens as massive dark clouds appear. Rain starts to pelt down on the demons below.

Looking at the army before me, somehow I know that they were here to kill my family. NOT. ON. MY. WATCH.

Rage begins to form in my heart as I call forth lightning. Twelve huge golden bolts shoot down, into the army. Instantly killing over one hundred demons, and injuring countless others.

"COME, COME AND MEET YOUR DEATH!" I roar, as the storm builds. The rain starts to pick up speed, the drops of rain coming down harder, picking up speed until they become dangerous.

The wind picks up, forming wind blades that cut through the demons' bodies with little to no resistance. Roaring, I summon all the lightning I can.

Countless bolts of lightning strike down. I watch as the army falls apart, Demons fleeing, or trying to kill me only to be struck down.

As I unleash my rage, the army tries to flee from me. Unwilling to let them live, I chase them for miles, hunting them down to the last survivor.

.....

...

.....

Dazed, I shake myself, as I come back to myself. Vanor is watching me with curiosity in his eyes.

"What...happened?" I ask, still confused.

" Bloodline memories, occasionally something will trigger memories hidden within the bloodline. Sometimes they can be helpful, sometimes they will hurt you. What did you see?"

" I was...fighting an army of demons, They were trying to attack my family. I suspect it was a memory from Storm Tyrant." I answer, the memory fuzzy, and unclear.

"Interesting, Anyways follow me. It's time you met our greatest enemy"

Following him, we head outside. Back to the hidden clearing where I evolved. In the middle of the clearing is a large humanoid with chain and stakeholding him there. It glares at me with intense hatred as I inspect it.

It's 6ft tall, scars from lashings covering its body, dull red skin, small horns poke out of its crown. Its hands have three large curved claws for fingers.

"This is a soldier caste demon. They are the most likely caste you can expect to meet on the battlefield.

They have incredible regeneration, body strength, and extremely high pain tolerance. Their weakness is that they have had their minds broken as children to obey the officer's commands, even if they are being sent to their death.

I'm going to release him in a minute, and you are going to fight him. The reason I'm doing this that the clan has noticed the demons have been building their armies again.

We expect that within a few years they will try to invade again. In order to prepare you, I plan to have you fight with various enemies you are likely to meet on the battlefield.

While they do not control elements, do not look down on the soldier caste. What they lack in power, they make up with incredibly durable bodies and an insane rage. Are you prepared?"

"I think so" I answer preparing myself for a hard fight. Vanor crawls away before sending a wind blade that cuts the chain holding him.

The Demon roars before charging straight at me. In an instant, it arrives in front of me swiping its claws at my throat. Surprised by its speed, I barely manage to dodge it.

Rolling to the side, I create some distance between us to gain control of the fight. Hissing, I send several wind blades towards it.

They cut deeply into its body, knocking it to the ground. Getting back up immediately, I can see the wounds heal immediately before he charges at me again.

Hissing, I charge as well while also trying something I have by done before. I direct lightning into my claws, causing my claws to start to turn golden and burn.

Getting close, I dodge the two swings it sends before slashing the soldier's torso. The wounds are instantly burned, stopping it from healing.

Instead of backing off to recover as I expected, the soldier immediately attacks, ripping into my back. Growling, I bite deep into its neck, shaking back and forth. I manage to tear out a huge chunk from the neck before jumping back to try and heal my back.

The soldier falls down, blood loss causing it to drop to its knees. it continues to glare at me as we both heal before continuing our fight.

Changing my mind, I decided to instead to press the attack while he heals!
