" No, I'm sorry but that would throw the schedule out of order"

As the next fight commenced Valoris laid down and began converting some of his dragon blood, filling it with his elemental powers to help increase his speed at using his elements.

Valoris is behind most of his peers when it comes to his insight into the elements of his lineage controls. To make up for this weakness Shale taught Valoris various tricks he can use.

Converting his blood is one of them, another is calling down lightning and absorbing it when he is running low. Lastly, every time he moves he generates wind which he then stores up and can release whenever he wants.

While these cant make up for true insight and mastery. They can let you surprise your enemy and gain the upper hand.

As he is laying down Valoris feels someone walk over towards him, Opening an eye he sees Marshall standing in front of him.

" I'm looking forward to our match. When I first got here I didn't expect to be worried about fighting anyone...but you? I get shivers wondering how I'm gonna win. So please dont hold back, I want to know what the gap is between us is"

" Dont worry, I have no intention of holding back. Especially with you." Said Valoris while smiling.

"Good"

" Marshall vs Valoris next match!"

Surprised they both look at each other before laughing.

"Good luck "

"You too," Said Valoris while getting up before crawling over. As they squared off against each other Valoris begins to gather lightning together causing it to arc off his body.

Marshall stared at him, His eyes excited with the prospect of fighting against a worthy opponent.

"Begin!"

Marsall immediately burrows into the ground before Valoris can hit him with an attack. Hissing Valoris begins sending thunder waves into the ground hoping to knock Marsall unconscious.

Sensing something dangerous behind him, Valoros jumps forward just missing Marshall's tail stabbing him. Marshall jumps out and screeches before charging at him.

With his pinchers made for ripping limbs off Marsall tries to grab one of Valoris's hind legs. But Valoris manages to side shift just in time before counter-attacking with his tail.

Slashing at Marsall with the blade at the end of his tail then facing him again to slash with his claws. Each time Marsall gets hit the body part starts to numb. He can feel himself slowing down.

"I have to finish this quick!" He thinks before spewing sand out of his mouth blinding Valoris.

Using the distraction he sends his tail to pierce Valoris in the side and injects poison into him. Then jumping back he waits for it to take effect.

Suddenly three large wind blades come shooting towards him. Two of them leave ugly scars on his shell while the third manages to pierce him injuring him.

Looking back at Valoris, he sees somehow he is still standing. Though shaking from the poison he is still able to fight.

Suddenly a large golden bolt of lightning shoots out from Valoris's open mouth and hits Marsall head on knocking him down.

Limbs shaking Valoris crawls over to the downed scorpion.

"You are done"

"No.. I still want to fight," said Marsall struggling to get this legs to move.

"I wasn't asking"

Marsall suddenly feels a huge pressure fall onto him knocking him out. His last thought before losing consciousness is "Draconic Might? you really are a monster"

"...Valoris wins by Draconic Might??" announced the official-looking at Valoris uncertainly.

Rell watched the fight with every intention of studying ways to beat them. However, as the fight continued she had a moment of disbelief followed by regret.

"Master was right, I focused way too much on Cultivation because it was easy. I thought since I started way ahead of everyone I could take it easy. But while I took the easy way these two forced themselves to choose the harder paths.

And look what they gained from it. Well no more! when I get back I'm going to add Body Refinement and Fighting to my training regimen. But even that doesn't explain how Valoris is able to use Draconic Might!

Usually, only Wyrms on the cusp of evolving can use that! It forces the pressure of a Drake onto both your opponents and yourself. Just how strong is his body?"

As Valoris limps back, he feels the poison being broken down by his dragon's blood. After laying down he notices that the crowd was being unusually quiet. Looking around he sees that they are all staring at him as if he is a monster.

"Why are they all looking at me like that? Is it that thing I did at the end? I will have to go ask someone" thinks Valoris.

"Rell, could you come here please?"

"Yes? more advice?"

"uh no, do you know why they are all staring at me? is it the pressure thing I did at the end?"

" ....you dont know what it is? haven't you trained to be able to do it?" She asked curiously

" No, I learned how to do it during the Hunt. I was fighting a General tier deranged grizzly and I wasn't going to run. To be honest I went kind crazy and this pressure started coming off of me.

It seemed to scare the grizzly which helped me kill it so I figured it would knock Marsall out. Why? What is it?"

".....I honestly hate you. Are you some kind of reincarnated Dragon King??? who just learns Draconic Might in the middle of a fight??" Yells Rell

" Draconic Might? that's what it's called? huh how does one normally get it?" asked Valoris

Rell explains to him how one normally gains it. Explaining even then some Dragonkin dont gain it until they reach the Drake/Dragoness evolution.

"Rell vs Delior"

Rell excuses herself to go fight while Valoris processes what he just learned.

"Looks like doing two Body Refinement Methods paid off. This just tells me that I'm on the right path. I need to do even more if I want to be undefeated!"
