One Piece: The Power System

AN: Not much talking in this chapter but narrating instead. Lol

The group ended the feast last night and woke up raring to go the next day. Days had gone by, to be exact, it was 3 days and time was against Rein. Ace, Luffy, and Sabo went to Goa Kingdom again, but they soon learned of Sabo's status as a noble. This was no surprise to Rein, of course, he already knew this. Sabo began to relay everything about his parents and the royal family which made him mad just talking about it. Erica could relate to this in some way, however, her parents just dumped her in a forest. She understood the feeling of not being loved and thrown away the most.

The next day rolled around and Ace, Luffy, and Sabo once again wanted to head into Goa Kingdom, but this time it was to fight. Rein and Erica went as well. They fought hooligans and even robbed quite the amount of stores while they were at it. This was Rein's main job, he snuck in with Soru, so no one could see him at his speed.

He robbed Diamonds, Pearls and several other jewels as well. He wondered when he became an expert at theft. After spending two hours in Goa Kingdom causing mayhem, the group left the city afterward.

The group was all laughs as they ran back to the mountain with total victory in mind. "Hahaha! We got a big haul from those jewelry stores in Goa! We could be classified as rich at this point!" Sabo laughed like never before, Rein had robbed 4 jewelry stores unnoticed!

"If this isn't enough for a ship then I don't know what is!" Ace held his pipe over the back of his neck as he gloated just thinking about the harvest. Rein had a storage, so you could almost imagine how much he stole.

"Dang, at this point, I won't need to be a bounty hunter!" Rein looked at his storage with delight, robbing shitty cities that catered to nobles was a fun thing for him. "But I won't mind doing my bounty hunting for the experience before then," Luffy said nothing and only smiled, he didn't know much value in these items. Erica didn't seem to mind after hearing the explanation about the nobles.

Once they were back at the mountain, they went to the seclusion area to count their earnings. Of course, Rein didn't pull all the earnings out and secretly kept some for himself. Once they were handed out to everyone but Luffy, Erica went back to Makino's house.

Ace had already walked off before she left to get something. Moments later, he came with a sake bottle and 5 cups.

"Yeah, she left back home, maybe next time." Rein shrugged his shoulders with his hands out: In a I don't know, kinda manner.

"It's okay!" Ace shook his head "Maybe one day we'll all set out for independence, so we won't be together forever." Ace lifted the sake and put it on the wooden tree stomp, he would have used a table if it was still here but Erica took it away.

"Oh, you stole that from Dadan!" Luffy said bluntly. Everyone ignored him as Ace spoke again.

"Did you guys know? We can become brothers if we exchange this cup of sake!" Ace proceeded to open the bottle and pour the sake into 4 cups.

"Brother? Really?"

"When we become pirates, we might not be on the same ship but our brotherhood will always be with us! Wherever you are, whatever you do, we'll always be bonded together!" Rein and everyone picked up their cups.

"So, for now, we are brothers!" The four toasted cups and drank it until their cups were empty. Rein thought to himself that he would be in this world for the rest of his life. And another thought made itself present: Ace would surely die in the paramount war 10 years from now.

"No, it can't happen this time, not in my world!" Rein wasn't going to allow this to happen. But he had his plans for that war, so he won't prevent it from happening but just stop Ace's death from coming forth. He had to cherish this new life he had because his last one wasn't anything good.

The very next day, Ace wanted to start making holes to catch boar and other wild game to eat. Safe to say, he started digging holes in random places, even at the front door of the house which Dadan had fallen into. Some of the bandits were victims as well and didn't escape the traps all around.

Erica had talked about Luffy and Rein's new brother to Makino, she came to visit afterward. Makino had Erica with her, and both Luffy and Rein came out immediately. She had brought some new clothes that she wanted to give to everyone.

Rein called Sabo and Ace over, so Sabo came over with a smile and accepted his new clothes she was giving out. Ace was reluctant but walked over after seeing everyone enjoy themselves. She fitted the clothes for Ace which caused him to blush and everyone to laugh and make fun of him. This, of course, made him mad as he simply said, I will get you guys later!

Later that night, Makino made dinner for everyone. The food was amazing but Rein took his food along with Erica and left, he knew what was to come! Makino left with the old man she came with, back to Foosha Village. Moments later, a silhouette could be seen walking toward Dadan's house. However, the figure fell into a trap on his way to the door.

Not too long after that, Rein could vaguely hear Sabo, Luffy, and Ace running for dear life! The figure was, of course, Garp! They had been talking about being pirates while eating such a delicious feast and Garp appeared behind them during that time. Dadan didn't escape punishment either and was knocked over the head by Garp.

After their beating, he noticed that Rein was nowhere to be found. It was starting to get cold outside, or at the very least, it was starting to snow. Rein had to kill the tiger now, or else it would be a problem if he didn't get his bonus rewards.

Rein sat in the secluded area with Erica and looked at his system store. He had already decided on what Devil Fruit he was going to get for himself. The Devil Fruit he had decided on was called the Mao-Mao no mi, Model: Balrog!

This was a powerful mythical beast from Lord of the Rings and the video game shadow of war. Rein looked at the tutorial of the Fruit last night and was amazed by it. The Beast had blazing bone wings with a stature of 21 feet tall. If he mastered this fruit he would be able to grow bigger.

In his base human form he could have black Angel wings on his back that would give him flight. He could also summon powerful flame weapons, like a whip, axes, and huge sword in his Balrog form. Rein could also summon these weapons in his base form. He had a full form and a half form.

The Balrog mostly consisted of fire and shadow that he would leave behind as he walked. The darkness or shadow was like Marco's devil fruit power. When he transformed into a Pheonix, he would be healed automatically if shot or stabbed. All of Rein's stats would dramatically boost while in his full form or half form, he could even change the size of his full form to a smaller size, but not any bigger since that required training.

Author Note: If you don't know about Balrogs much, I suggest you go look at YouTube to find the answer. There is a lot to learn about these things and they're quite powerful.

Even things like the Dark-Dark Fruit would have trouble nullifying it. Too bad it cost 3 million system points, so he couldn't afford it as of now. After which, Rein and Erica left the forest once Garp had left, he didn't want to endure a beating because of what Ace, Luffy, and Sabo were spouting.

The group had decided to make a treehouse, which was to avoid being beat by Garp and to stay far away from the bandit's house as much as possible. With all 5 of them working on the tree, it only took a day to complete.

Afterward, they made a plan to take down the Tiger lord. Rein also told Sabo that his father will secretly meet with Blue Jam in order for him to be captured. Sabo was surprised and wanted to know how his father would know that he was around. Rein only told him because he used his family's insignia to sneak into that restaurant that day that he knew. He would go on to show Bluejam a picture of him in order to find him.

Sabo's expression turned unsightly, he didn't doubt Rein's words at all. Soon, it started to snow and the group set out to hunt the tiger. Rein made sure to get a coat from the system which was dirt cheap, he even gave one to everyone.

The first thing they needed to get was bait to draw the beast out. He wanted to do this fast because he wasn't sure how Erica's ability would hold out in this type of weather. She was mud so she might be affected by these natural conditions of the snow over time. After all, mud appeared in hot conditions or wetlands and when it was rainy out.

Rein made sure to keep her warm in paranoia that the cold weather might affect her Devil Fruit ability to perform at its maximum capacity. The five gathered with fishing rods to catch fish, this wasn't easy during cold weather so it took quite some time and hard work to capture them. In the end, they only manage to catch three fish.

They set out deeper into the mountain area carrying the fish they had gotten. Luffy, Ace, and Rein carried the fish on their backs after losing a game of rock, paper, and scissors to decide who carried the fish.

Everyone crossed a bridge and could be considered officially in the deep zone of the mountain which should be the tiger's territory. They waited for twenty minutes but it still didn't show up, this made Ace and Luffy impatient. They were about to spar and fight with their pipes until they heard a roar in the jungle approaching them.

Everyone got on guard quickly with serious expressions, this was especially so for Erica, who was the trump card here. The beast emerged from the forest, it was a huge tiger as expected, it had obviously picked up on the scent of fish nearby in its territory.

The Tiger glared at the five small figures ahead of it, its eye turned sharp, ready to attack at any moment.

"Well, let the first part of this mission begin!" Rein mumbled under his breath

Somewhere else on this island, in a junkyard known as Grey terminal. A man who was somewhat fat with a top hat on walked into a broken-down house in Grey terminal. This house belonged to the Blue Jam pirates, it was just as Rein said earlier. The man with the top hat is Sabo's father who is apparently looking for him.

The Blue jam pirates accepted the order to find Sabo for benefits. Sabo's father left and one of the men spoke up saying that he saw this boy with Ace, the boy who robbed them some time ago. Blue Jam grinned, this would make it easier to find him.

Back at the bandit's house, Dadan was also looking at her fair share of news. She was reading a newspaper that was telling her that a celestial dragon was coming to Goa Kingdom. Dadan didn't know what the big deal was all about with this person or as to why it was so important since it was making news highlights.

Trouble was brewing for certain.
