“Uncle, beat her to death. Kill her. No one will know anyway.” Xie Tianli cried as she pleaded with Professor Lee to help her.
She felt envious because Gu Chuyan was so pretty. Why was Gu Chuyan able to live such a good life? Women were all the same. They didn’t like anyone better than them.
M Corporation, CEO office.
In his extravagant and luxurious office, Xiao Mohan sat on his exquisitely-designed boss chair with a document in his hand. His brows furrowed violently and his lips were pursed into a thin line. He stretched his hand out to pick up his coffee but the moment he touched the cup, the cup toppled and coffee spilled all over the table.
“Bang!” The cup fell and shattered.
Xiao Mohan frowned furiously. He looked at the soiled document thoughtfully.
“Master, what’s the matter?” Han Changqing heard the commotion and pushed the door open. He strode in.
He saw the soiled document and the broken cup.
Xiao Mohan picked up a piece of tissue and wiped the document. Han Changqing cleared the broken cup and said, “Master, let me make another cup of coffee for you.”
“You don’t have to.” Xiao Mohan raised his hand and looked at his watch. It was 11 am. The rain outside showed no signs of stopping.
“When do her lessons end?” Xiao Mohan asked.
“Around noon,” Han Changqing replied.
Xiao Mohan stood up and took his coat. “Let’s head over first.”
“Okay.” Han Changqing didn’t know why his master wanted to leave early. However, no one was allowed to question Xiao Mohan’s decisions.
After they left the building, Han Changqing drove the Rolls Royce and they traveled along the S City roads.
Xiao Mohan sat in the back seat and looked at the rain outside. He seemed a little absentminded. He massaged his eyebrows.
“Master, do you feel unwell? Do you need to rest?” Han Changqing noticed Xiao Mohan’s movements as he drove so he hurriedly asked with concern.
“No,” Xiao Mohan replied.
The luxurious Rolls Royce raced in the rain. When it drove past a puddle, water splashed.
Xiao Mohan looked at the raindrops outside. He leaned back against his seat. Suddenly, he saw the words “S City Academy of the Arts”.
“Stop.”
“Screech.” Han Changqing immediately stepped on the brakes. “Master, what’s wrong?”
Xiao Mohan looked to his right. His finger landed on the handle and he tapped on it twice with his fingertips.
“She’s at school?”
“Yes. I took her to school personally in the morning,” Han Changqing replied.
Xiao Mohan raised his hand and looked at the time. He took out his cell phone and dialed her number. Unfortunately, her phone was off.
“Let’s go and take a look,” Xiao Mohan said.
The Xiao family emphasized education heavily. They had personal professors teaching them. When Xiao Mohan was 15 years old, he had already finished two PhDs and was well-versed in eight foreign languages. However, he had never stepped foot into a school before. So, he wanted to see what she looked like when she was studying.
He looked around him as they entered the campus. It was filled with people. He frowned instantly. It was too crowded; it wasn’t as good as he imagined.
“Yes.”
The luxurious Rolls Royce drove through the campus and arrived at the lecture building. Some students started gathering a distance away from the car.
“Master, this way please.” Han Changqing held an umbrella and walked around to open the car door.
Xiao Mohan’s long legs stepped out and he got out elegantly. Han Changqing tilted his body. Under Han Changqing’s guidance, they moved quickly towards the third floor.
“Please, please…” The professor was in the middle of his lesson. He wanted to ask who they were looking for.
