"Oh, this feels good." Xiao Ran waited for Liu Mei to finish the bath and she quickly jumped in, but didn't expect Hua Roulan would straightforwardly join in.

Liu Mei nodded. "Thank you for telling us. So far we didn't have any problems but the extra security is never bad."

The woman said her goodbyes and left with a smile, while Hua Roulan looked at Liu Mei with big eyes.

"You was right. They really will follow us."

"Of course they will." Liy Mei stopped smiling and went yo her bed. "Our clothes, accent, faces, nothing looks like their people. They might think we are harmless but still have doubt why we go straight to capital if we could stay in this place as well."

Xiao Ran started pacing trough room. "Should we buy other clothes?"

Liu Mei knew that they already had their eyes on them but to calm down this child she nodded. "If we stay the whole day here tomorrow, we could see their shops if the weather gets a bit better."

Next morning a chirping sounds of birds woke Liu Mei up. The two girls choose to sleep outside and she just slept inside her space. But looking at their eyes she knew they slept horribly.

"What is it?" But soon saw few bits on their hands and faces. "Fleas?"

"No. Mosquitoes. Whole night. We got used to not have any as they can't enter space but I completely forgot about this place being ridden by the beasts." Hua Roulan wanted to scratch but got stopped by Liu Mei.

"Stop scratching. You two were bitten and I look perfectly fine. We must put dome make upon me." It would look strange if she was the only one without bites.

Downstairs a woman saw the thee women coming and sighed. "The mosquitoes..." It was not even a question of what bit them as her place was clean. "I'll give you some cream against itching. Go to the pharmacy and get dome repellant. You will go through swamps and there is even worse."

Liu Mei thought about it and then had an idea. "I need someone to cover my carriage or can I buy covered carriage somewhere. Its a long way and I fear we will have a problem with worsening weather conditions."

The woman nodded. "I will send you to uncle Lei. He has few. Make a deal with him." She explained where he is.

They went out and saw the muddy street and sighed. "What about we get the horses and raid on them. I fear with carriage it will be hard to pass the swamp. It will be easier for horses. And we can get a couple of donkeys for our stuff. "

"There is no need for that." A deep voice made them turn around. "The streets were filled with stones and better than streets in this town. You can go with carriage without fear."

Hua Roulan stood between him and Liu Mei as she saw him glancing at her. "Thank you then. Sister, I will bring a horse and we can ride to the Lei household. It makes no sense becoming dirty like a pig. How can this even called a town?" She muttered as she walked away.

Liu Mei turned her head and calmly looked at the man. "Sorry about my sister's words. She didn't sleep well last night so she is a bit grumpy.''

He just nodded and went back wordlessly while she sighed. " Hua Roulan... "

She could hear slight laughter next to her and she looked down. Xiao Ran was wiping her imaginable tears. "That woman is interesting. She is honest and I like it very much. It's refreshing next yo all the bootlickers in pa..." Bit then stopped as she almost spilled her beans. "Sorry."

Liu Mei saw Hua Roulan sitting on one horse and pulling the other behind her. Luckily they bought riding equipment when they bought horses.
