As they sat there and spoke the servants already cleaned the place and made it comfortable. At the moment Liu Mei had just a few things so there were not many things to worry about. The largest sleeping room naturally became hers. There were even rooms for servants so they cleaned them and realized that those rooms were pretty and comfortable as well, making them quite happy.

Most of the servants that came with Hua Roulan were sent by Hua Lan as servants that wrote the death contract. They were sent to serve Liu Mei for a lifetime and they knew already in advance that she was a good person. Looking at her elegant bearing and soft smile and words they were happy deep in their hearts and choose to work even harder to make her comfortable.

Liu Mei arrived at her house and sighed. ''This place is so beautiful. I am a truly lucky person. I like this place so much, if I was to choose what palace to lie in I would have chosen straight away this one.''

Chun Momo shook her head. ''There are two more palaces that are pretty. Palace of Rising Suna and Palace of Moon Elegance. Those are palaces from current Empress Dowager and old concubine Royal Consort Dowager palaces. ''

Liu Mei suddenly bad premonition creeping up to her back. ''Wait, what? Don't we have to show our respect to them?''

Chun Momo paled and nodded. ''I completely forgot to tell you. How can I be so foolish.''

Xiao Ran rolled unconsciously her eyes and shook her head. ''The audience is a bit later. I already ordered the clothes in advance so the mistress will be presentable. Misstress, you need to eat something before leaving. The greeting ceremony takes some time. And we need to dress you up properly.''

Luckily Xiao Ran had already the idea and Emperor already sent the clothes without Li Mei's knowledge. All it is now needed is to dress her on time and they can go.

While Xiao Ran fussed about her food Liu Mei smiled brightly on the outside but sighed deeply inside. The sun was still shining brightly as they stepped outside their palace. This time Liu Mei choose not to wear the had as the shadows were long and she planned to walk. But when she came out she found a bunch of servants waiting for her with a sedan chair. Xiao Ran waled out together with her neither od them looking surprised or anxious.

Liu Mei sighed in relief as it had shade on top of it. She looked at Xiao Ran from her right side and Hua Roulan from the left side standing on hot son and her eyebrows wrinkled. ''Xiao Ran, could you ask everyone to go to the shade. It is too hot to walk straight in the sun. ''

Xiao Ran did that and soon strange line of people set up towards the Empress Dowagers palace. They were following line of shadows completely so when other servants saw the strangeness all they could do is just bow their heads and shut their mouth. Even as a small concubine Liu Mei would still have a higher standing than them. So they didn't want to offend her.

But actually Liu Mei became worried. As she tried to save her own people others had to stand on the sun side until she passed. She sighed. ''Xiao Ran. I am sorry for those servants as well. Let's go to the shadows when there are not many servants in mid of way. When there is none we can still hide in there. The sun is too crazy.''

Xiao Ran knew her heart and smiled. ''Don't worry. The servants in the palace are used to many things.''

But Liu Mei shook her head. ''No, they all work hard so better not inconvenience them, hm?''

Xiao Ran sighed and gave the order, making actually everyone in line have an even better expression of this woman. They were, after all, all servants in this place. For someone to care about them, they are not used to it.

The walk was luckily not long so after a few windings, ways and alleys, they came to huge open doors. The door itself was work of art and Liu Mei stared at it with big eyes but a calm smile. ''It feels auspicious.'' She walked from the sedan chair and was about to move forward as she heard a few voices calling for her.

''Miss Liu Mei finally revealed her face? Aiooo, who would have thought that you face is so... old.'' Hua Roulan just rolled her eyes but didn't say anything.

Liu Mei gracefully gave greetings to the four girls that just arrived. With a smile on her face, she chuckled. ''Definitely. I am just an old cactus and you are all flowers. Do not compare with me, who knows how fast your leaves might wither if you stab your cute leaves on my thorns. They might just fall off and you will stay without them.'' She then smiled sweetly and entered the palace first with a calm smile while the other four had to begrudgingly follow her.

Roulan Hou was completely annoyed by her acting but then remembered what her aunt told her. As long she doesn't become Empress it's fine. She just needs to find common words with the two powerful women. Then her later life won't be hard.

But when she saw the two women sitting there with a cold expression and a bunch of noblewomen looking at them in silence her heart started palpitating. What is this? What is going on???
