Hua Roulan glanced at Liu Mei but because the hat she couldn't see her expression and she couldn't ask anything now. She knew that Liu Mei had right, but this place... seriously?

The servant just pointed at the direction that they should walk and bowed politely. But before leaving he looked at Liu Mei one more time and spoke to her with a lowered voice. ''Miss, this place... is not bad... Please trust my words. No matter what, never leave this place. Only like that, you can be safe.''

Liu Mei gave a full bow to the servant and nodded. Her soft voice could b heard under the hat. ''I know. Thank you. Xiao Ran?''

Xiao Ran bowed to the servant as well politely and presented one bag. It was so common that no one thought too much about it. ''Little thing form our miss. We hope to get more... advises... in the future.'' She stared directly into his eyes and he nodded. He could feel the weight inside and knew that this lady is not as simple as everyone thought. Maybe is better if he stays by her side. The other four... he sighed inwardly, bowed again and left in deep thought.

Liu Mei and Hua Roulan looked at how their servants closed the huge doors and as it clicked into its place Liu Mei took off her hat finally and smiled brightly. ''That man really has no idea what kind of present he just gave me.''

Hua Roulan just stared at her with big eyes. ''You like it here? But this place...''

''...is perfect.'' Liu Mei rushed towards the plants that were nearby and patted her c.h.e.s.t. ''Unbelievable. And people really went around this place. Are they stupid or what?''

Hua Roulan had no idea why is Liu mei so happy but when she saw Xiao Ran's shiny eyes she knew there must be some story behind all of it. ''Cna someone explain to me, please?''

Xiao Ran looked at other servants and old nanny and nodded. ''Nanny, could you take everyone to the main house and clean everything until we come. We will give you enough time. Our miss want's to see the garden.''

Nanny, of course, understood her hint and ushered the servants to hurry and clean everything up. She knew that Liu Mei had many things to say to Hou Roulan, that not everyone could or should know. She ushered the servants towards the buildings that were further away and walked herself faster as an example.

Looking at her quick actions Liu Mei smiled in appreciation but suddenly a female voice could be heard behind them. ''Miss, do I have to go as well?''

A pretty girl stood behind Hua Roulan and stared at the leaving servants with a mixture of unwillingness, reluctance and despise. All those emotions actually were seen clearly on her face just for a few moments but it was clearly seen by all three of them.

Xiao Ran looked at Hua Roulan and pointed at the girl. ''Miss, I think your servant can't stay with us. From now onwards you will be treated like everyone else. Or she becomes a lowly maid or she goes back home. Look at the other servants. They do as they are told.'' She pointed at the group of people that just got closer to the house they will be living from now on.It was a bit hidden from their view from all the trees, but even from here could be seen that the building was big.

Hua Roulan turned her head towards the girl and smiled. ''Mi Fan, You can go back home. As a servant myself, I will stay for good by our miss side. When did you see a servant having a servant. Not only that, I need to take care of her completely, I have no time for you to play.''

Mi Fan became pale when she heard her words. ''Young miss, what are you talking about? You are a young miss of Hua family, how can you become a lowly servant for her? That... that is impossible!''

Hua Roulan sighed and patted her shoulder. ''The moment I stood in front of Emperor and declare officially that I will become her personal guard, I became her servant for the lifetime. Just now it became clear in Mi Fan's head the promise her mistress made. She grabbed her hand and not looking at Hua Roulan furrowed eyebrows she started pleading. Hua Roulan pulled out her arm out her hands and with cold words stared at her. ''I never had intentions toward Emperor. From beginning to the end I never had a feeling for that man. Why should I then become his? Fortunately, our Emperor is a good and wise man. He gave me an opportunity to pull out this mess and at the same time pursue the person I have feelings for. On top of that, I have the HONOR to serve an amazing woman. I have no idea what is wrong for me to become her servant. Did you know that people like you couldn't be servants even in their lifetimes? Your only chance to enter as a servant is to stay here and be the fifth-grade servant for her. If you are willing to stay, if not then go back home I will arrange for you to stay the first-grade servant at my cousin's yard. Are you willing?''

With eyes looking at the lush vegetation and remembering the sarcastic smiles of those people when they entered, this seems to be a really bad place to stay. She decided and was about to speak when she heard Xiao Ran speak to her. ''It seems you made the decision. I will ask the guards outside to send you back home. Do not wander around, or you might get into trouble. The moment you have decided to leave your master's side you are not worthy even to get near her anymore. Please leave the way.'' She pointed at the small door next to the big door. Only servants would pass those doors.

Mi Fan huffed and turned around without even saying goodbye to her mistress making everyone stunned.

She just went out and with couple words, to the guard outside the door, she sent the girl back home. Maybe it's better this way. She sighed as she went back inside.

Liu Mei and Xiao Ran stood there and waited for her with big smiles. Good, at least she is not angry with me...
