New World: The Rise Of Meruem

The room fell silent my words seemed to leave them all in confusion, wondering whether or not I said what I said. But none felt the weight of silence more than the non-believer, who now had the eyes of every Intecqu in the room waiting for his rebuttal waiting for him to disprove, discredit or…... just to say anything. But the non-believer had no words for me, had no courage to mush together, he now stood completely nude. Stripped of all his clothes by my mere presence. In a strange way force to defend his position from a newborn, who had accomplished nothing and was claiming to see the future. it was all absurd even I could see that... but when you have enough conviction the absurd becomes... reasonable.

"What shall you do? My nonbeliever, my awaken sheep." I thought as I stared in his direction only to turn away and walk towards the others who looked to be shaken up by my words. Its time to add the icing on the cake and offer them a means of joining with me. To speed up the process and remove all doubts in their mind.

"I force none to follow me, to join in my quest to save our people from the slow death we now suffer… both physically and psychologically, no I dare not attempt to smother the flame of freedom and independence that lives in the hearts of every Intecqu… all I ask is that if you see even a slither of a possibility that I… no we may succeed. I turned around and allowed them to see how amazing my body was, how different I was from all of them, showing off my wings and long powerful tail, appearing to be paying attention to the wood processing machines. But in truth, I wanted to give them the appearance that I already knew their decision and could care less. Not even a minute into this silence and VI,tan and Le,via than had spoken up droped to their knees and professed their dedication towards me.

It's all as expected after all you don't need to convince everyone to join you… no all you have to do is turn a few key Intecqu and the rest will just fall in line. I turned around and reached out my hand, I know doing so also surprised me as well. It was out of character I wanted to appear larger than life, but I knew such a disregarded group didn't want another Intecqu telling them how amazing he/she was…. No, they didn't want to be seen as lesser any more, they kneeled because they felt as though that's what was required of them.

"Get up…. You must never kneel to me again… don't forget I am not a king nor am I any better than any of my fellow Intecqu… no, I am simply someone with a dream a philosophy that I wish others to share. "Those that do not work do not eat"… and as such all who work are equal and shall share in the bounty… so please your willingness to work is all I need as thanks. The same to you all."

As I said this, I noticed the look of admiration on the faces of all in the room. Even my nonbeliever had started to have a swaying heart. As I helped the two of them up, I ordered all those who would join with me to stand in a line and prepare to be given a name. it was quite the bold move if you ask me, seeing as the 5 minutes was not yet over and I could tell somewhere not fully on board. But none of it mattered, you see I plan to rely upon peer pressure and jealousy to gain the support of my fellow Intecqu.

As they all lined up I without even looking in his direction ordered Viticus to lead all those who had no d.e.s.i.r.e to follow me out. This order caused the little nonbeliever to finally speak up. Everything is going according to plan at least for now.

"w…wait I'll join but I have conditions… if you agree then I'll join."

Conditions? the little nonbeliever believes I care for his conditions. I did as I always do and simply ignored him and his pleas for some sort of agreement being made between us. Before he could interject, I started naming the first Intecqu in line, remembering the faces of my new followers. In order to write it down later and doc.u.ment all my supporters…. Or maybe I won't do that it's a coin toss for now…

"You're being completely unreasonable… I'm asking for a reason to join you…. Yet you ignore me as though I was nothing. My conditions are simple I want to set a timer on you and your plan…if you succeed in the 4 months' time then I'll never question you again…. But if you fail you have to swear to promise that you'll never attempt to rill everyone up again…. If you promise that then ill do whatever you want… I mean you did say you like higher…stakes, right?"

His words no longer reached those that stood in line waiting to be named, and they no longer interested me. His voice sounded as though it were filled to the brink with desperation and self-pity. Honestly, what would my promise mean to someone without any faith, to begin with… , little nonbeliever… I see you now, I see what you truly are… oh, how lost you are, how sad you are.

Don't worry ill save you by forcing you to take a step fully of your choosing. As I was finishing up on the naming of my newly gained followers. I finally had time for the little nonbeliever seeing as he had yelled and screamed himself to quiet grunting.

As I spoke, I told all those who had recently been given a name to go and speak to Viticus, seeing as he will operate as a voice for me to them. What I said to Mar,qu,wilius was just now settling in his heart, all I had to do was wait for his obvious rebuttal. He will probably state how he's not lost just cautious of me and my empty promises.

"Me… lost? No, don't attempt to fool us… me with your words of truth and honesty. You're a liar Meruem I've seen your kind and all you do is go on and on about the amazing things you'll do…. But to void with you and your kind… who purposely fill the hearts and minds of… of… those desperately wanting true salvation… you're a cheat and a liar…. That's why you won't promise me. Can't you all see he's only ever said words... he doesn't know what's out there what we've lost trying to do what he says he'll complete in a mere 4 months…. Damn it damnit all I'm not lost it's you all. You all that follow so blindly…. And don't call me that it's not my name I won't join you so blindly like all the others… you hear me Meruem I see through you…"

I wanted to burst out laughing at his pathetic display of resistance… but he's everything I want in a sacrifice, his eyes burned with a pang of sadness and rage like no other. Someone has hurt you so deeply my precious Mar,qu,wilius. Who tell me who did this to you, tell me who destroyed your ability to trust to have faith? You see I know that what exists in his heart also exists in the hearts of many of my followers.
