Chapter 11 – Kissed 

The sky was finally dark when the car reached the city.

Yan Lin parked his car in front of Zu Jin’s villa gate, but he did not get out of the car.

“When you get back from your business trip, I’ll take you to meet my parents.”

Zu Jin had unfastened her seat belt and froze at his words.

“Huh? That’s too fast.”

“You don’t want to?”

The lights were not on in the car. It was dark and they couldn’t see each other clearly.

But, they were close enough that Zu Jin could distinctly smell the faint scent coming from him.

Zu Jin could tell that it was not cologne, but it smelled really good.

Zu Jin suddenly had an impulse. She wanted to press her luck and hug him tightly for a moment.

However, while she was the kind of person who dared to think of everything, it did not necessarily mean she dared to do any of it.

Yan Lin also seemed to be a very disciplined and introverted person. He probably would not do any passionate behavior that she particularly wanted.

Fortunately, the light in the car was dim, so Yan Lin probably would not find her blushing intensely.

Zu Jin sat up straight. She took in a deep breath and said, “Of course I do. We will go see each other’s families when I get back from my business trip.”

She had been silent for too long just now, and Yan Lin had been silent the entire time.

Now that she had suddenly spoken, she felt that Yan Lin seemed to be a little aroused in the dark.

Sure enough, Yan Lin suddenly leaned over in the next second and gently hugged her in his arms.

Then, he lowered his head and first kissed her on the cheek and ultimately landed strongly on her lips.

Their burning breaths mingled together, which almost made Zu Jin’s heart jump out.

She couldn’t stand such an attack.

Just when Yan Lin could not resist wanting to go further, she unexpectedly opened the car door in a blank state of mind. After that, she immediately broke free from his big hands and got out of the car when he least expected it.

Zu Jin took a deep breath of the cool evening breeze, and could feel her own body slightly tremble uncontrollably because she was so stimulated.

Yan Lin sat in the car and touched the back of his head. Then, he got out of the car.

He walked around the front of the car to Zu Jin. He had an apologetic look all over his face like an inexperienced boy.

“Sorry, I…”

“What are you apologizing for?” Zu Jin’s cheeks flushed and frowned. “I’m the one who took the initiative!”

Yan Lin put his hands into his pockets. He shook his head and smiled helplessly.

Zu Jin liked seeing his helpless look, so her embarrassment from when she was kissed in the car immediately disappeared.

She stood on her tiptoes, put her arms around Yan Lin’s neck again and kissed him on the lips.

Then, she whispered in his ear, “When I come back from the trip, I will spoil you…my little pretty boy.”

With that, she opened the door of the villa and ran in right away.

Yan Lin stayed where he was, watching the figure of her running away in her high-heeled shoes, and suddenly felt like a mess.

The next day, Xia Tong came by car to pick up Zu Jin. As soon as she got into the car, Xia Tong stared at her and started examining her.

Zu Jin touched her cheek strangely. “Is my makeup bad?”

Xia Tong shook her head. “No, Jin Jie, you look great today! I haven’t seen you like this for a long time.”

Zu Jin gave her an annoyed glance. “Why is your mouth so sweet?”

“Where is my brother-in-law? Is he at home? Why didn’t he come out and see you off?”

Xia Tong put on an extremely flattering smile.

“Your brother-in-law is not here, and you still can’t get your red envelope for the time being.”

The chauffeur drove the car to a spot near Qiyu Corporation and they met up with Ji Shiyu’s car before going on the highway.

It took almost three hours to drive to T City. Zu Jin read the factory’s information for a while, and then felt sleepy and took a nap.

Just as they were about to reach their destination, Xia Tong, who was sitting next to her, suddenly curled up to cover her stomach and her lips were turning white.

Zu Jin was startled. “What’s the matter? Is your stomach not feeling well?”

Xia Tong said painfully, “It must be my great aunt1 coming. I was busy preparing for the business trip yesterday, but I actually forgot about it.”

Zu Jin was aware of Xia Tong’s period pain, so she usually did not ask Xia Tong to work during  those few days every month.

It was rare for her to attend to her employees as the president.

However, they were now on a business trip to inspect the factory, and Xia Tong was her secretary. She was too important, and it was not easy to find someone else to replace her.

Zu Jin was worried about her work and Xia Tong at the same time.

Her tone of voice would inevitably be a little cold and stiff. “Bear with it a little longer. We’ll be there in a minute, and then you can go rest.”

Xia Tong nodded and softly said, “I’m sorry, Jin Jie. I shouldn’t have been so careless…”

“It’s already like this, so you don’t need to say anything else.”

They finally arrived at the factory about half an hour later.

When Zu Jin got out of the car, she said hello to the person in charge of the factory and asked someone to take Xia Tong to the hotel.

Then, she went to the production workshop with her staff and Ji Shiyu and her party.

“What’s the matter with your secretary? Is she sick?” Ji Shiyu asked in a low voice as they walked side by side.

Zu Jin looked at Ji Shiyu’s newly dyed long hair that was past her shoulders. The top of her head was light pink, and the end of her hair gradually turned crimson. She looked like an Arctic surf clam2.

“She just wants to eat seafood,” Zu Jin answered coldly.
