My Sunshine: Glad To Find You

Jess was not able to understand what she was feeling right now. She was both excited and scared, looking forward to staying with him but didn't know if he would like living with her.

Looking at her, struggling with herself to give him an answer, John smiled, "Oh oh! Look, the sauce is all over mouth"

"Oh, I will..." He came forward, wiped the sauce with his finger and licked it.

Whatever Jess wanted to say to him, after his actions, she could say him nothing. A tinge of red slowly spread on her cheeks.

She screamed, 'John! He is so shameless. He always has to tease me. Huh!'

John's eyes were sparkling with mischief, "Yes, were you saying something?" He took a bite of the pizza and asked her.

Jess took a deep breath to calm down her anger. "Yes. Originally, I was about to say yes, but now I changed my mind. No, I won't move in with you."

She had a look of determination, and before she could even celebrate, her victory was very short lived. They were sitting on the tools placed near the kitchen counters, there was less distance between them. The bent forward, a little more movement and their lips would touch.

She bent backward, but lost balance and was about to fall.

"Ahh!" Jess tightly shut eyes, expecting to fall on the ground and feel pain.

John moved fast and pulled her towards him. "Jess, are you okay?" He asked her with concern in his eyes. He was worried about her.

She opened her eyes and was happy that he saved her. "I am fine. It is not hurting anywhere. Thank you."

She moved away from him and drank some water.

"You want to let me off with just a thank you? It is not fair."

'Cough, cough.'

He handed her a tissue and pat her back to soothe her.

"Okay, then tell me, how can I thank you?"

John held his chin, it looked as if he was seriously thinking about it.

"You can repay me by, ...moving in with me. Let us redecorate this place together. Until then you will have to make do with the place I am living right now."

Jess was shocked.

"Hey. This is not fair. I already rejected you. You cant choose this, choose something else."

"Why? You said you already wanted to agree to it, just changed it last moment. It is a bad deal for me." He shook his head and said with a sad voice.

Bad Deal?

Jess accepted defeat. "Okay, we will do as you say."

Jess was really tr.a.p.ed with a tiger. He was turning more shameless with her every day. She could do nothing about it.

'Yes, it is entirely my fault for liking such a person.'

She ate with a sullen face.

On their way home, Jess didn't even look at him, she was not even speaking to him.

John: 'Let us see how long can you stay angry with me.'

He parked his car after a while. "Wait for me here." He left the car.

Jess was not expecting him to leave her alone like this. She just nodded.

After a while,

'Knock, knock'

Jess put the window down and saw John there. He was holding two ice-cream cones with a double scoop.

"Hello beautiful lady, this delicious cone is for you."

"No, I won't take it. You can't buy me with food."

"It is okay, as you wish. I will eat them on your behalf." He took a bite from the first cone and was about to eat from the second one when the door opened and she took it from his hand.

"I changed my mind. I hate wasting food, I will take it just this one time." She happily started devouring it.

'Silly girl.' John laughed and they enjoyed the sweet moment together.
