Chapter 36: Feeling like a jester

One month had passed since Noemi’s house had been renovated.

The season had transitioned from spring to early summer, with the sunlight illuminating the forest through the vibrant young leaves.

On a sunny morning, Noemi sat in a reclining chair on the terrace of her log cabin, sipping coffee and gazing at the scenery before her.

In front of her, Rudy and Solaris swung their practice swords, engaged in combat training.

Noemi had witnessed Rudy’s battles before, but Solaris was far stronger than even a seasoned soldier. In her days as an adventurer, Noemi had seen many warriors. Seeing Solaris hold her own against Rudy while still in her maid uniform made Noemi believe that Solaris possessed comparable strength.

Both Rudy and Solaris had the “Galactic Empire’s Integrated Martial Arts” installed in their electronic brains. In terms of technique, they were much stronger than the warriors on this planet.

However, neither of them had any practical experience, so they diligently trained day by day.

“Even as childcare androids, you guys are ridiculously strong,” Rudy exclaimed.

“It’s in my specifications,” Solaris replied.

As Rudy parried Solaris’s sword, he twisted his body and retaliated with a spinning kick.

“It’s part of my programming,” Solaris said while avoiding the kick, then swiftly struck with a palm strike using her left hand.

Rudy narrowly evaded the strike by tilting his head. Before Solaris could retract her left arm, Rudy grabbed her left wrist, twisted his body, and threw her with one hand.

Solaris thought she would be slammed onto the ground, but she twisted her body mid-air and landed on her feet. Before Rudy could regain his posture, she struck him on the head with the hilt of her sword.

Sensing the danger, Rudy activated his electronic brain. He entered a zone and evaded the attack with a backstep.

Then, Rudy glared at Solaris and raised his voice. “That was dangerous. If I get hit on the head with your brute strength, I could die!”

“My apologies. There was a face in front of me that I felt like punching, and I got carried away,” Solaris replied.

“Are you joking right now?” Rudy asked, wondering if the android had developed emotions.

“It’s not a joke; it’s provocation,” Solaris responded calmly to the question.

“It would be unbearable if I died because of your idiocy. Training is canceled for today,” Rudy declared.

“Thank you for your hard work,” Solaris replied, bowing her head as opposed to Rudy’s grumpy reaction, then approached Noemi, who had been observing their training.

“Do you need a refill on your drink?” Solaris asked.

Noemi shook her head in response. “No, I’m good. But Solaris, you’re strong.”

“It’s in my specifications,” Solaris replied.

While Solaris bowed her head, pleased with the praise, Rudy approached from behind and spoke.

“Hey, good morning. You’re looking cool today.”

“…Thank you,” Noemi replied.

Noemi’s face turned slightly embarrassed as she responded to Rudy’s comment.

The reason was that the clothes she was currently wearing had been designed by herself and made by Solaris.

The scene shifts back in time to five days after Noemi’s housewarming party.

Noemi was relaxing in the unfamiliar living room of her new house when Solaris appeared in front of her, holding a large bag.

“Noemi, the clothes are ready.”

“Huh? Did you really make them?”

“Of course.”

Casually, Solaris responded to Noemi’s surprise and placed the bag on the table, untying the knot. Inside, numerous outfits designed by Noemi appeared.

Noemi was left speechless.

While Noemi was still in a daze, Solaris began explaining about the clothes.

“I’ve created ten sets of tops and bottoms, two cloaks, twenty shirts, and five neckties. Additionally, I’ve brought twenty reinforced stockings and five pairs of boots from the Nike cargo. As for undergarments, since there was nothing available, I brought thirty bras and panties each. If anything is insufficient, please give me further instructions.”

Noemi listened to Solaris’s explanation with a blank expression, but when she held a bra in her hand, she tilted her head.

“…Is this a bra?”

Noemi was familiar with bras that were simply cloth wraps worn around the chest to prevent sagging. However, the bra she held in her hand had a three-dimensional structure.

“I adjusted the size to fit Noemi’s measurements, so it should be fine,” Solaris assured.

“But how do you put this on?” Noemi asked.

“…I will show you how,” Solaris replied after contemplating Noemi’s question for a while. She then led her to the bathroom.

After 15 minutes, Noemi, now wearing the undergarments that Solaris had helped her put on, stood in front of the mirror in astonishment.

“Somehow, my chest looks bigger than before,” Noemi remarked.

“It’s designed to lift and enhance,” Solaris explained.

“And, um, aren’t these panties a bit… skimpy on fabric?” Noemi asked.

“We usually conceal them, but when revealed, they’re designed for impact,” Solaris replied.

“Your creativity is impressive!”

Following that, Solaris brought the clothes she had made and dressed Noemi in all of them.

Using the data she had acquired when Noemi was injured, Solaris replicated the clothes Noemi had designed down to the last detail.

On top, there was a sleeveless black slim suit that accentuated Noemi’s body shape. The exposed neckline revealed a white shirt with a red tie.

The bottom consisted of a wide-slit black skirt, matching the color scheme. The slits revealed Noemi’s thighs and knee-high black boots.

“What do you think?” Solaris asked, seeking feedback.

“…I feel like a jester,” Noemi replied.

“In that case, it’s not an issue.”

“Why did that response come up?”

“Please make sure to… shave the unnecessary hair later. Otherwise, you might really become a jester.”

“Don’t ignore me.”

“Do you have any dissatisfaction?” Solaris inquired as Noemi grew agitated, to which she scowled.

“…I don’t have any complaints about the clothes, but, well… Aren’t they a bit flashy?”

“You can conceal them with a cloak, so there’s no problem. Besides, your previous attire also stood out, in the sense of a poor person.”

Upon hearing that, Solaris directed her gaze towards the green robe Noemi had been wearing.

“Was it really that bad?”

“It would be effective if it were intended for a crazy witch.”

“…I see.”

As Noemi felt downcast, Solaris bowed and left the bathroom.

When Noemi returned to the living room, she found Rudy drinking protein shake in the kitchen after his training session.

“Hey, what’s with that outfit?” Rudy asked, wide-eyed at Noemi’s attire.

“Solaris made it, but isn’t it strange?”

In response to Noemi’s question, Rudy shook his head and gave a thumbs-up.

“It looks cool. What other outfits do you have?”

“Other outfits? Come to think of it, I made several, but they all turned out to be the same,” Noemi said.

Hearing that, Rudy sighed and shook his head.

“Solaris, why do you only make the same clothes… Your head only follows orders and nothing else.”
