My Mysterious Wife

It was winter, the cool breeze was flowing but the girl beside the sea was unaffected as she was jogging. It seems like it was her daily routine. This girl has pale and white skin,who seems to be a beauty, everything about her was stunning. Even the way she was jogging seems to be breathtaking. But she only seems to be sixteen or seventeen.

As she was jogging, she was stopped by two girls as they were waiting for her. They were twins but Ying Yue can easily differentiate between them. With indifferent tone she said," why both of you waiting here?" . As they were already late to wake up,they should have gone to have breakfast already.

Ru Shi was ashamed as she said," Grace, sorry we were late to wake up". Grace was Ying Yue' s American name.

Qing Shan also followed her and said ," Yes! we are really sorry, we woke up later than you". They were ashamed because yesterday night they were training together late at night and among them Ying Yue was the one who left at the last.

Ying Yue laughed as she hear them apologize and said," why are guys saying sorry as you guys did something wrong. It was only waking up late.why are being hard on yourself?". Yes why were they saying sorry . Ying Yue was only hard on herself not with her sisters.

As they return their home, their grandfather Wu Zhi Lan was already waiting for them at dining table. Wu Zhi Lan was Ying Yue's maternal grandfather. Wu Ru Shi and Wu Qing Shan were adopted by her grandfather when they were same age as Ying Yue who was only eight at that time . They were all brought up by Zhi Lan. Ying Yue was only eight when she came California with her grandfather.

Zhi Lan saw them but with a stern face he said," why are you all late?" Zhi Lan was from military lineage and was very strict with conduct. Otherwise he couldn't compete among successful businessmen of America.But there was pride in his eyes that his three grandchildren were already able to handle his business and he doesn't have to worry about work. But rules are rules,they can't do anything as they wish.

Ying Yue smiled at her grandfather ," It won't happen again. I know you miss us".

Zhi Lan , "..."

Zhi Lan could never win with this granddaughter of his. Zhi Lan doted on this granddaughter as she was her only daughter's daughter.

They were having breakfast, Zhi Lan remembered something and said," Yue'er, yesterday night your mother called me she said Zhou family want to have marriage arrangement between Chen and Zhou family which was promised by their family long time ago.she said after two years you have to go China and marry grandson of Zhou family". This was marriage arrangement among parental grandfather as they were best friends but they both had son and couldn't marry earlier into eachother family but after Ying Yue was born it was decided among them. Only after Ying Yue turn eighteen they can marry each other. But Ying Yue was against it. She doesn't want to marry a stranger.

Her face darkened as she said," I want to know him , unless I see he is good for me I won't marry him". Ru Shi added ," Right , you should not force yourself to marry someone who doesn't match you. I will let my people investigate about him".

Ying Yue replied," I don't think only investigating would be enough. I have to see it for myself".

After having deep thought and gazing for long time she finally said," I will go back to China this weekend".
