My Hero Academia- Thunderstorm

The next day, the first thing I did was look over the video that displayed my remaining matches. I carefully observed the fight and concentrated any words he happened to say during the match to his opponent. The Mirai fight was intense and quick so there really wasn't much to get from it. The championship battle between myself and Bakugo was longer but it seemed like myself and Bakugo were arguing with each other. Bakugo said, "Why aren't you using your other lightning powers? Are you looking down on me?" In response, I dropped my smile and responded that I couldn't use them. He never gave a reason and continued to fight Bakugo until his inevitable victory. Part of the reason he is able to win is because the black lightning is so powerful. It's better than both my blue lightning and yellow lightning combined. It's like looking into a mirror only to see a face I don't recognize. Is this person myself? Someone else? Was I possessed? If so, then by who? For what purpose? Many ideas swirl around in my mind as look back at the video to find anything else.

After watching it over and over again, I finally found something that could be used to tell the two of us apart if this happens again. It seems that when I was possessed my eye color changed from yellow to red. I decided that there's no use being confined to my house all day and decided to take a walk. Whether it was coincidence or fate, I ran into Jiro while I was out. I sneakily asked how I was acting after the match. She responded that I was overcome with joy and happiness. She said that this "Denki" never felt so free before. After chatting with Jiro for a while, I was interrupted by a phone call from Mini. Mini apparently called and explained that the secret to my lighting is somehow related to my mother. I asked why she used her power on the black lightning and she responded with, "Cause I can," and hung up the phone. My mother was always a touchy subject for dad and he almost never wanted to talk about her. I doubt if I ask him for more information about her, he would give it to me. I could ask the BB to get the information, but that's expensive and time-consuming. Especially with Mini recovering right now. I decided to search the internet to see if I could find any information about her. That pathway leads to another dead end. There was hardly any information that she existed and was a hero in the first place. There was a picture of my mom with Shinki (Dad's friend) at a hero company called Brilliant Industries. Apparently, the company is very strict about who they hire and have a ton of heroes that have very specific skill sets that are designed to track down, capture, and interrogate villains. If my mom was working at this company, then they would have information in a file that I would be able to grab (worst case scenario). For now, let's meet Shinki to see if he has any information about it. I managed to set up an appointment with him through the company.

[Cut to the Meeting]

I walked into a nice office filled with expensive furniture, paintings, and tables. There was a nice view of the city and a high tech closet that seemed to hold his hero costume. As I was admiring the interior design of the place, Shinki started speaking to me.

Shinki: Please sit down.

I sat down on one of the couches and waited for Shinki to continue.

Shinki: You've haven't seen me in years. What do I owe this unexpected p.l.e.a.s.u.r.e?

Denki: I came here to ask what you knew about my mother?

Shinki: Why didn't you ask your dad about it?

Denki: He wouldn't have told me. Mom was always a touchy subject for him and he never gave me much information about her.

Shinki: Well, what do you want to know about her.

Denki: Everything if possible.

Shinki: A greedy one, aren't you.

Denki: I just want to know the truth.

Shinki: Can you handle the truth?

Denki: If I couldn't then I wouldn't be here.

Shinki: That just means that you think you can handle it. Not that you actually can. Honestly, all the information about your mother is top secret and s.e.n.s.i.t.i.v.e but I guess I can pull a few strings to give you some information about her. Your mother was apart of a special group in this company that works undercover in different villain organizations in order to get information about what they're doing and who's in the organization so we can catch them and bring them to justice. Your mother had a very important mission to infiltrate a powerful man that has lived for a long time and currently has no face. Her job was to report his activities and become a part of the group. She had to work her way up to the top of the organization and be trusted enough to get information on this man. At this point, she was pregnant with you and while undercover she gave birth to you. It was after that point that she started acting strangely. She was using powers that she didn't have before and was causing more damage than she did in the past. Eventually, we learned that she turned traitor and was committing crimes for herself and not as a hero. Unfortunately, we couldn't capture her and she was killed by one of the heroes sent to retrieve her.

Denki: This isn't what I was expecting at all.

Shinki: I'm sorry, but that's all I can say.

Denki: Well, thanks. I'll see you later.

I leave the room and start heading home with less enthusiasm while trying to put the various pieces of this twisted story together.
