"Twelve crucial saves and an assist," Dave muttered just as he got to his goal line.

'Looks like there's going to be a lot of shots in this match, either that or the system just overestimated them.'

The match was about to kick off now as Fredinho could be seen standing over the ball in the kick-off spot.

Norman was starting the match with his default four-three-three formation and just like he said after their training session on Thursday, the only changes in the lineup was Frankie starting ahead of Martinez and Pirlo starting ahead of Aima.

Lyon on the other hand were also starting with the four-three-three formation but the reverse of their version which meant that they had just one attacking midfielder up front and two defensive midfielders.

"Both teams are going all out here, no one's ready to pull their punches," Jim commented.

"Well, in these kinds of matches, it's best not to do that to avoid any mistakes you might end up not being able to correct." Steve articulated.

Everyone was in position now waiting for the referee's whistle, and after making sure that everything was in place, the referee put the whistle in his mouth and blew into it to produce that high-pitched sound.

"There's the whistle and we are on the way."

As soon Fredinho heard the whistle, he quickly pushed the ball to Minino who did not hesitate in sending it back to Norman.

"Norman."

Norman pushed forward a little with the ball as Marcel closed up on him but just before the left-back could get to him, he sent the ball rolling to Frankie who sent it rolling to Ferran with his first touch to avoid Mason.

"Ferran."

The midfielder's path forward was blocked by two players, and after trying to get past them on his own without making any dangerous dash forward, he dropped the ball back to Frankie who gave it a little push forward before he sent it flying over to Mateo down the left wing.

"Sends it flying over to Mateo."

Mateo was able to move away from the right back marking him just in time to bring the ball down with his chest and abandon his wing completely.

Ferran had to quickly cover up down the left wing as the winger raced down the middle with the ball and a good number of opposing players coming toward him.

"Mateo, charging forward with the ball now."

With the way the opposing players were closing up on him from the front, the winger knew that he wouldn't be able to get that far with the ball so he quickly stopped just as he was about to close up on the box and send the ball rolling back to Frankie who had to quickly send it back to Minino with his first touch.

Minino had one of the defensive midfielders on him and the player wasn't giving him that space to run through and was struggling with him to take the ball.

That was a tough situation but he knew just how to get out of it. He slowly dragged the midfielder along with him as he moved further down on his side of the pitch and just as Norman moved past them, he sent the ball rolling to him with a backheel pass.

"Nicely done by Minino to make sure the ball moves forward," Jim commented. "Unique FC are looking pretty fierce here."

Norman moved down the wing with the ball with the midfielder chasing him from behind but the right-back didn't wait for him to get close enough to him before he sent the ball rolling to Merino.

"Merino."

Merino was supposed to move forward with the ball but he wasn't in a good position to do so he moved back with it a little before he sent it rolling back to Minino who quickly sent it flying into the box.

He was trying to find either Fredinho or Mateo because both of the players were in the box at the moment.

However, he failed to get the ball to either of them as one of the defenders in the area ended up nodding the ball away a little to the right.

The right back there managed to get his foot on the ball ahead of Ferran, and without hesitation, he sent it flying out down the right.

Antoine got his foot on the ball just before Frankie could get to him, and without hesitation, he took off down the wing with it.

"Antoine's taken off with the ball here this could have been more serious for Unique FC if Roland had not gotten in front of him on time."

Antoine was just about to run into Roland when he decided to push the ball to Duncan who dashed right past Frankie with the ball as soon as it got to him, the defensive midfielder stood no chance but he didn't just stand there and watch him keep moving forward with the ball.

The attacking midfielder had Pirlo closing up on him from the front and Frankie right behind him.

That left Mason with just Adolf, Roland with Antoine, and Marcel with Norman and Minino.

"Perfect." He muttered before quickly lobbing the ball forward.

The idea was to get it to Mason despite the fact that Adolf was right there.

Well, Adolf wasn't able to do much because the striker was able to block him with his body before trapping the ball with his chest.

"Mason's right in front of goal, Mason!"

The striker wasted no time in firing the ball toward the goalpost just before it could hit the floor.

He sent the ball flying toward the right side with just a little bit of elevation already concluding in his mind that it was a goal, and that was his mistake, underestimating the goalkeeper because he got a clear chance.

Dave took off toward the right just before the ball could cross the goal line and blocked it with his body.

The ball dropped to the floor after that save, but just before Mason could get to it, he stretched both of his hands and grabbed it.

"Oh, my goodness! Just how did he save that!"

Dave knew that there was no time to waste after making that save, if he was going to get that assist, now was the best time

Just after grabbing the ball, he quickly sprang up from the floor, and without hesitation, he sent the ball flying down toward the left and it was obvious who his target was.

The defense were already near the halfway line and instead of quickly moving back, some of them decided to try and stop him from getting the ball and the winger made no mistake in using that to his advantage.

All it took was getting his head on the ball to push it forward and quickly get past them.

One of them tried to drag him down but the winger ended up leaving him in the dust to get his foot on the ball and now everyone else was chasing him from behind with the goalkeeper trying to figure out the best way to stop him in this impossible situation.

"Nice pass, Dave." The winger smiled as he quickly closed down toward the goalpost.
