My Goalkeeping System

24 Robbed And Stabbed

The match had entered the fortieth minute now and still, there had been nothing from both sides after that goal from Ferran.

"Five minutes remaining on the clock as Unique FC seem set to go in at halftime with a one nill lead," Jim said.

"It should be leveled by now if it weren't for those saves from Dave," Steve said.

"Yeah, I'm still trying to get over that freekick save," Jim said.

Dave seemed to have turned up in this match with two crucial saves at the moment.

The second save came from the corner which dropped in front of one of Speed United's players.

The shot was drilled low to the bottom right corner and all Dave needed to do was stick his leg out to catch the ball before it rolled into the net.

After that save, it seemed like both teams seemed to have parked buses in front of their goal post.

Spree United had attempted their long balls both low and high but all of them had been cut off by Unique FC by mostly by Adolf.

Unique FC had gotten a couple of chances but they had wasted most of them and the only clear chance they got which was a through ball from Ferran and a header from Fredinho which had gotten tipped over the bar by Spree United's goalkeeper.

The ball had gotten rolled back to Adolf now, he tried to maneuver the player behind him before passing the ball to Dave.

<If you want a second goal cross that ball to Mateo>

Dave did as he was told as he pushed the ball forward a little before playing a long pass to Mateo before the players chasing the ball could get to him.

Mateo brought the ball down with his chest before getting past the right back marking him with a neat body faint.

"Oh, Mateo's through!" Jim exclaimed.

The left winger made a quick run past the center-back coming at him and pushed forward at the edge of the eighteen-yard box.

"Oh, oh, oh!" He's still going!"

He feigned shooting at the players blocking his way before pushing forward a little bit and drilling a shot at the left side of the goalpost.

The goalkeeper was glued to the spot as the ball rolled past him into the back of the net.

"Mateoooooo!!!" Jim screamed.

"What a goal!" Steve said with a stunned tone in his voice. "And talk about that long ball from Dave."

Mateo quickly ran to the sideline and did a sliding celebration as Ferran quickly rushed to him and pulled him down before the rest of the players started coming.

The stadium had burst into cheers as chants coming from Unique FC fans off course.

"That goal was sensational!" Jim screamed. "We are experiencing Ciro football level from Mateo here at Zelerion stadium!"

"Yeah, and it was really smart for Dave to play that pass from the goal area," Steve said. "He's got his first career assist as a goalkeeper, that's something I didn't expect from him today."

"You could see Norman celebrating with his coaching staff now, that's the first time I've seen him celebrate a goal like that since their last five matches," Jim said.

The match had kicked off after Spree United had conceded their second goal.

They tried to push forward and get one back but their efforts proved futile until the referee had finally blown his whistle to signal the end of the halftime.

"And there you have it, the second half has come to a conclusion with the guests clinching on to a two-goal lead, the hosts got a few chances which would have gone in if it weren't for the surprising heroics of Unique FC's number one, Dave Richard," Jim said. "Mateo has been awesome so far with an assist and a sensational goal thanks to a wonderful through ball from Dave."

The large screen in the stadium was displaying the stats so far into the second half as the players made their way to their locker rooms.

Unique FC had dominated the match so far with sixty-three percent to thirty-seven percent and they had been the best attacking side so far with seven shots and three shots on target compared to Spree United's three shots and two shots on target.

"That was a wonderful first half to watch and I know it's just going to get better in the second half," Jim said.

Emma had a bright smile on her face as the scoreboard displayed on the screen of her television.

She wasn't one to watch football matches as she found them quite boring but for Dave, she had decided to watch this match and she was glad that she was watching it.

So far Dave's performance had put a bright smile on her face, a super save and an assist was really something to be proud of, not to talk about the wonderful goal that her little brother scored.

Commercials were playing on the screen now as Emma checked her watch to see that the time was eight pm.

She walked to the kitchen to grab a drink from the fridge and just as she opened the fridge she began to hear whispering sounds coming from the back door in the kitchen.

She slowly closed the fridge and slowly made her way toward the door. She didn't even get there before the door was blasted open by three men putting on ski masks.

"Get on the floor!" One of the robbers said, pointing his gun at her.

"I thought you said no one was here." The other robber said, turning to the third robber.

"No one was supposed to be here." The third robber said.

"Will you two quit whining and go check upstairs?" The robber pointing his gun at Emma said.

Emma was terrified as she lay on the floor with her face down.

The other robbers quickly made their way upstairs to see if they were going to find anything.

The robber watched Emma fidgeting on the floor for a while before slowly squatting down beside her and forcefully raising her face.

"Well, aren't you a stunner?" The robber said, trying to sound enticing.

"Let go of me, you low life." Emma stuttered.

"Did you just call me a low life?" The robber said as his voice had suddenly changed.

"We've got it." One of the robbers said as both of them made their way down the stairs with one of them holding a black bag in his hand.

"Listen pretty face, nobody calls me a low life." The robber said as he pulled out a pocket knife from his pocket and stabbed it into her shoulder.

"Arghhh!!!" Emma screamed in pain as she rolled to her side.

"Why did you do that?" One of the robbers asked as the both of them were shocked to see him do that.

"Stop asking me a shitty question and let's get out of here." The robber said, pulling his knife out of Emma's shoulder to force out another scream from her.

The first robber had quickly left through the door followed by the second one but the third who was holding the back was a little hesitant as he stared at Emma for a while before finally making his way out of the body.

Her shoulder was seriously bleeding as she moaned and groaned while crawling her way to the couch in the living room.

The match had resumed now as she picked up her phone from the couch and began to go through her contact list.

She knew there was no point calling Dave because he was in the middle of a match but there was someone that she could call.

"Please pick up." She said with muffled breath.

"Hello." She heard a voice coming from the phone.

"Hello, Clark, are you still in town?" She asked, dropping the phone on the couch.

"Yeah, I have a flight booked for tomorrow but I'm still in town at the moment," Clark replied. "Are you okay Emma? You sound a little….out of breath."

"Clark…Clark ….call an ambulance." She stuttered before eventually passing out.

"Emma…Emma, Emma are you still there?" Clark asked but there was no response from her.

"Hang in there Emma, I'm coming."
