Su Hao turned to look at He Qingqing: “Nothing. It’s just my first time entering the city so I’m a little curious.”

He Qingqing was started by her own reaction and turned her head to the side.

Compared to a few years ago, He Qingqing was a lot more restrained. She had truly become like a big girl now. Ever since Su Hao had killed the blue-eyed coyote in front of her, she seemed to have matured in an instant and never went to find Su Hao to try and make him play with her. 

But ever since then, He Qingqing and Su Hao’s relations had become very weird. It was no longer Su Hao avoiding He Qingqing, but was instead He Qingqing avoiding Su Hao. If they ever met, they would only exchange a few words before He Qingqing would leave in a hurry.

This made Su Hao puzzled. This girl didn’t have autism or something right!

As for little fatty, he wasn’t much different. Not long after leaving, he began to endlessly ask questions.

“Dad! You said you studied at the Warriors Academy before? You’re bluffing right!” Little fatty looked at his dad suspiciously. 

Old Li fiercely glared: “Bluffing? Your old man never bluffs! Your old man was a powerful man back at the academy. Who didn’t recognize your Old Li? I’ll tell you, back in my day…”

Little fatty and He Qingqing listened very attentively to Old Li, their eyes wide open. After hearing everything, little fatty still didn’t fully believe his father, and murmured: “Dad, why does it feel like what you said is a lie.” 

Old Li indifferently said: “Believe it or not, that’s how I got with your mom. You can’t lose any face for your old man at the academy. Anyone that bullies you needs to be fiercely beaten.”

Little fatty patted his chest: “Of course. I definitely won’t lose any face for dad. I will definitely protect Qingqing. Whoever dares to bully us, I’ll beat them up. Right Xiangwu!”

Su Hao casually replied: “Yep yep yep!”

Little fatty glanced at He Qingqing and delightedly said: “Aiya, what a pity that silly Tao wasn’t able to find blood qi, otherwise we could protect Qingqing together.”

Turning to face He Qingqing, he said: “Qingqing don’t worry. Even if it’s only me, I won’t let you suffer bullying.”

He Qingqing rolled her eyes: “Do I need your protection?”

Little fatty wasn’t embarrassed at all and said: “I’m showing my position.”

Then running up next to Su Hao, he pulled Su Hao and said: “Xiangwu’s so strong. If we can’t win, we’ll find Xiangwu for help.”

He Qingqing wondered: “We’re here to study. How are there so many bad people that are bullies?”

At the time, Old Li who had been walking behind chuckled: “There definitely will be. Otherwise how could it be called a Warriors Academy? It teaches you how to fight, hehehe!”

Su Hao glanced at He Qingqing and little fatty, and felt troubled to himself: “Doesn’t that mean there’ll be a lot of troublesome issues all day long? I also have to watch over these two guys. What a headache! What should I do? Should I go to school, gather all the students, and beat them till they cry? If I became the academy’s school tyrant, it’ll be less troublesome right?”

He Qingqing frowned at first, suddenly she thought of something, and her eyes became firm.

Little fatty waved his fists optimistically: “Other than fighting Xiangwu, who am I scared of? Come one, spank one. I’m a beginner-level commoner warrior, and soon I’ll become a mid-level common warrior!”

Then he turned his head and asked Su Hao: “Xiangwu, what level are you now?”

As little fatty asked Su Hao his level, He Jianyong at the front perked up his ears. 

He was also very interested in Su Hao’s level because his keen perception could sense a faint threat from Su Hao. That was abnormal. Very abnormal. 

He had never had this feeling before from a child or teenager. It made him suspect if he was thinking too much. 

Su Hao grinned: “This~ I’m not too clear. Probably around that!”

Little fatty was very dissatisfied with Su Hao’s attitude, so he guessed: “Xiangwu, have you already reached high-level common warrior? A few years ago, I heard from others you were already at the mid-level common warrior strength. Now you should have already reached high-level common warrior!

Su Hao chuckled: “Hehe, something like that. I’m not too clear.”

Little fatty took that as Su Hao’s agreement and exclaimed: “Xiangwu, you’re too amazing! Indeed a genius. I entirely can’t compare. I heard a high-level common warrior of your age can already be considered a foremost genius at the academy. That’s the type of people that they focus on raising. 

Su Hao praised: “Is that so! Little fatty, you sure know a lot!”

Little fatty delightedly said: “Of course.”

There were no unexpected surprises on the road. The ferocious beast attack that little fatty expected never appeared. 

The group went at their own pace and finally reached their destination in the afternoon – Lingyun Town.

“This is Lingyun Town?” Little fatty stood outside the gates of Lingyun Town with his mouth wide open.

Even He Qingqing exclaimed: “Lingyun Town is so big. The walls are so high. How magnificent!”

Old Li chuckled: “You didn’t expect that, haha! After we enter the city, don’t keep those expressions or else everyone will call you bumpkins and look down on you.”

Upon seeing the city, even the well-informed Su Hao was shocked.

Putting aside how large the plot of land Lingyun Town took up, just looking at the city wall, it was towering and majestic. One couldn’t see its end to the left or right, its height was at least fifteen stories high. How high was fifteen stories? It would be at least forty to fifty meters. This seemed rather exaggerated.

A person standing at the bottom of the wall would seem tiny. 

Such tall walls weren’t intended to block human raids but was used to defend against the raids from beasts. So the question was, what kind of beast was so powerful that deserved a small city resident’s to build such a tall and majestic wall. 

If you don’t know, just ask. That was Su Hao’s good quality.  He curiously asked: “Uncle Yong, why is the city wall so tall? Is it to defend against some powerful enemy?”

He Qingqing and little fatty were also curious: “Yeah, why is it so tall?”

He Jianyong loudly laughed: “Hahaha, every once in a while, a powerful fierce beast will pass by our Lingyun Town when they get hungry, and will enter the city to eat people. The height of the walls can block a portion of those fierce beasts.”

Su Hao and them knew what fierce beasts were. Fierce beasts and common beasts weren’t the same type of conceptual species.

The most powerful beasts were just some huge animals, their strength reaching the high-level common warrior’s degree would be their limit. 

But fierce beasts didn’t have an upper limit. They could have all sorts of appearances and varying body shapes. The smallest was as small as a fist, the largest was as big as a mountain, utterly terrifying. 

A powerful fierce beast would only need a single attack to destroy a city. 

Seeing that He Qingqing and little fatty had been scared to the point of shivering because of hearing “eat people:, He Jianyong laughed again: “You guys don’t need to worry. The city is much safer than our Cha Mountain Outpost. Every hour of the day, there are powerful warriors guarding the city walls. Once they notice a fierce beast getting close, it’ll be repulsed immediately.”

After speaking, he walked through the city gates: “Come on! Let’s enter the city and register as soon as possible.”
