Speaking up to here, he shook his head and laughed self-deprecatingly: “What use is telling you this?”

Unexpectedly, Su Hao said, “Father, being born here is my fortune, just be normal.”

Wu Yuntian said: “You don’t understand. You’ll get it later.”

“Then what should I do next?”

“I originally assumed it would take you a year or so to find blood qi. At that time, your body’s quality would have greatly risen and you would have been a bit older. It would just be right to start refining and transforming blood qi. You were much faster than I thought. You’re still not even 4 years old…”

“Why? Why not now?”

His father couldn’t be at his side at all times which was dangerous for Su Hao. Before he could protect himself, he felt no sense of security. 

Once he encountered the accidental death, he would once again enter deep sleep and wait for millions of years, and there was no guarantee of transmigration. The best method was to quickly grasp the strength to protect himself, even if he had to sacrifice a portion of his body’s future potential. 

Wu Yuntian said: “It’s not that I don’t want to teach you, but your current body is far too weak. It can’t handle such powerful force. Take a big rock for example. Su Hao nodded: “I understand father.”

But he still felt unwilling: “Father, can you first teach me how to refine blood qi? I only want to know how. I want to study the thought process behind transforming blood qi.”

Wu Yuntian shook his head: “No! Xiangwu. I know you are very smart, but it’s because you are smart, I don’ know if you will try add some of your own thoughts. I can’t be at peace about you mulling over it yourself. Before entering the door, refining blood qi is very dangerous.”

“Then father, you can bring me to enter!”

“You’re still too small.”

“I’m not too small father. I’m already not a 3 year old child!”

Wu Yuntian speechlessly looked at his son. If he wasn’t a 3 year old child, then he was 3 ½? 

Su Hao promised: “Father, bring me to enter. I promise I won’t injure myself. I promise that I will only refine blood qi when father is by my side, otherwise I won’t mess around.”

“Xiangwu, why must you learn right now?” Wu Yuntian suddenly asked. He had assumed his son was throwing a tantrum and was dead set on getting a new toy. There must be a reason for him behaving like this.

Su Hao hesitated before honestly saying: “I’m scared! Father, you have to patrol the outpost every day, leaving me here by myself. I can’t even beat up snotnosed Tao and little fatty. If an accident occurs, I don’t even have the strength to protect myself.”  

Wu Yuntian was silent for a while. To Su Hao’s expectants eyes, he eventually said: “Fine.”

Su Hao breathed a sigh of relief. 

Wu Yuntian added: “You cannot tell anyone of today’s matters.”

Su Hao nodded his head: “Yes! Will you teach me today father?”

“Tomorrow!” Wu Yuntian let out a long breath, “Xiangyu, just tell me whatever you want directly, I won’t stop you again.”

Su Hao waved his fists as he watched Wu Yuntian leave. Having a good dad was so important.

The next day, Wu Yuntian and Su Hao discussed heart study. 

A person’s consciousness could control the body’s movements. Walking or running, it all needed consciousness to decide. But the consciousness actually had more control over the body than just that. Through exercise, the heart rate could be controlled, the stomach’s digestion rate, etc. This consciousness ability was known as “heart force”.

That’s right. It was the heart force that he’d been so desperately searching for in his previous life. It was the power of the soul.

Wu Tianyun was afraid that Su Hao would misunderstand the meaning of “heart force” so he had to come up with a way to explain it according to his understandings. So he carefully explained things very clearly what Su Hao had to do. 

Su Hao didn’t need to need to full understand heart force like a sage. He only needed to be able to reach the threshold of how to exercise and successfully refine blood qi.  

Through self reflection, Wu Yuntian realized that if he didn’t clearly explain all of the requirements to Su Hao, Su Hao would definitely give him all kinds of surprises or scares. 

Once everything had been explained clearly, Su Hao ushered in his first attempt. 

Sitting cross-legged on the mat, Su Hao glanced at his father next to him. After confirming there were no problems, he closed his eyes. 

Very quickly he entered a meditative state, abandoned all thoughts, focused. 

Then he began to visualize the situation according to “Nine Palace Severance Scripture” .

After a bit.

“Success on the first try?”

Wu Yuntian was expressionless, but internally there was a great storm. This was something only a monstrous genius could accomplish. After an hour, his body gave some negative feedback, waking Su Hao up.  

Wu Yuntian handed over some vegetable egg soup that had been prepared earlier.

After Su Hao finished drinking, he felt much more comfortable. He waved his arms in the air, not discovering that his power had suddenly increased. He looked at his father in suspicion: “Father, how come  even after I’ve already recognized my blood qi increasing, my strength hasn’t had any obvious improvement.”

Wu Yuntian chuckled: “How could practicing martial arts be so simple? You have a long way to go! Every day if you persist in refining blood qi, your body will gradually adapt to the large amount of blood qi stored. After half a year, you’ll see the obvious improvement.”

“So long!” Su Hao’s eyes widened: “Should I continue refining right now?”

Wu Yuntian shook his head: “Let’s end here today. Your body has ready reached its limit for refining. Properly rest. We’ll go again tomorrow.”

Su Hao nodded. After his father left, he entered the marble room, and gave Cosmic Light some directions to retrieve all of his body’s physical data from the past hour.

After the food was digested, it had been broken down into various nutrients and then absorbed by the body. When Su Hao began to visualize the “Nine Palace Severance Scripture”, a small portion of the nutrients were redirected and converted into blood qi. Although it was only a tiny portion, the amount of blood qi truly did increase. 

Su Hao rubbed his chin and murmured: “How can his process be sped up?”
