That night, Xie Fei confirmed from An Mingyi’s mouth that he was going to Putian hospital to protect and give birth to the baby. Originally, he thought that An Mingyi would wait for the two women to return to the city before leaving but to Xie Fei’s surprise, he only saw Yang Duoduo with her luggage the next morning.

“My sister isn’t feeling well. She fell again the night before and said that she’ll stay in the inn for two more days.” Yang Duoduo shrugged helplessly and added, “But I have to go back to work. If I ask for leave then the boss will kill me.”

Miss An is really good at bluffing ah……

Xie Fei thought with some amusement. He personally carried Yang Duoduo’s luggage into the small three-wheeler and drove her to the village entrance to take the bus. On the way there, he queried Yang Duoduo, as if he was handing out a survey, on whether she was satisfied with her stay.

“It’s very good. Although the inn is a bit old, it’s very clean and the staff are very considerate. Not only that, the dishes you cooked are too delicious! What’s more the employees are so good looking ah ha ha ha!”

Yang Duo Duo was quite simple minded but Xie Fei heaved a sigh, relieved. “Is there anything else that needs to be improved?”

“The wifi is a bit unstable,” Yang Duoduo hummed and tried to think some more. “The hot water isn’t hot enough. Even if the weather isn’t cold now, people might get sick during the winter.”

That might be a problem with the water heater, Xie Fei thought, inwardly keeping track of it.

When he returned to the inn, Ah Fu was in the middle of checking out An Mingyi and Xu Lingyi.

“The two of you are leaving so soon?” Xie Fei asked, quite surprised at this development.

Xu Lingyi seemed to be in a good spirit. The eyes that were previously blocked by sunglasses have now recovered. With a smile, she said, “En. Mr. Yu said that a half-demon’s pregnancy cycle is different from that of human beings so I’m a little worried. It’s better to go to the hospital early for a check up.”

Every time she said something, An Mingyi’s complexion turned gray like a layer of cement. Obviously, despite the president deciding to keep the child, he hasn’t experienced being a good mother….father? This needs some psychological preparation.

Xie Fei glanced at An Mingyi, catching his eyes and cannot help but say some wors of sympathy. “You’ve worked hard.”

An Mingyi wryly smiled at him. “It’s all for the child.”

Xu Lingyi took hold of her fiance’s hand and said distressingly, “When we return, I’ll resign. I’ll wholeheartedly stay with you the whole time. Don't worry, I can definitely take good care of you both, father and son.”

An Mingyi: “......”

Although Xie Fei felt that there was something strange with this sentence, he still sincerely blessed the couple and gave them a newly bought book entitled “Encyclopedia of Pregnancy Knowledge” (second hand).

As the chilly autumn wind blew, he led all the staff and bid the couple goodbye. In the blink of an eye, the inn was once again deserted. With that, the Xining village also ushered in the rainy season.

As the autumn rain came and brought about the cold weather, Xie Fei’s T-shirt was replaced by a hooded sweater. Fortunately, the money used to buy the sweater was a “thank you” gift given by An Mingyi before he left.

Xie Fei first used the money to replace the inn’s water heater and network cable. He also used it to replace the old beddings and added some furniture to the rooms. Not to mention, he also bought many tools. In order to save money, he planned to do all the other things by himself such as painting the walls, repairing the tiles, fixing the furniture, etc.

After all that, the inn looked completely new and he still had cash to spare.

Even though he did so much in renovating the inn, the inn was still deserted. No one was showing interest in it. Xie Fei felt that it was impossible to go on like this and so, he had to take the initiative to attack.

And so, he set his sights on the internet.

In his original world, Xie Fei made a Weibo and WeChat account for his breakfast and bed business. In fact, his account even had a lot of fans. Later on when the flow of visitors became increasingly stable, he stopped spreading the name of his inn on new promotional channels.

But now, there’s no time to wait and slowly manage in the inn. He could only take shortcuts.

The most effective method would be to advertise the listing on major travel apps or online forums. However, Xie Fei was short on money1. After careful consideration, he decided to try live broadcasting. One, live broadcasts didn’t cost much. Two, the promotion effect of a live broadcast was very direct and immediate. The only thing to worry about was that he couldn’t expose himself.

“Brother Ah Fu, where do you usually go for your live broadcasts?” Without missing a beat, Xie Fei immediately went to find the internet addicted youth to learn and go on a pilgrimage.

“AC network.” Ah Fu asked some more, in hopes of currying favor with him. “Does the boss want to watch live broadcasts too? What do you like? Do you want me to recommend some live anchors for you?”

Xie Fei sat on the newly bought chair with his toes touching the ground. He turned the chair around lightly and lowered his head, searching for the APP of AC network. “Is the website popular?”

“Very popular ah. It’s from station B, the hottest video station before.” Ah Fu generously shared the gossip with him. “It seems that there was a conflict between the two high-level officials that’s why they separated. The reason why they are called AC station is that there is no B number in the former owner.

Xie Fei pointed out, “What a way to block the other2.”

The newly bought network cable was very fast and soon enough, the app was ready to be downloaded. Xie Fei eagerly studied for more than an hour, curiosity filling his eyes. He had a rough idea on how to do it but it’s just that he had no idea what to broadcast. He rubbed his slightly sore neck then from the corner of his eyes saw a bag of hawthorns on the reception desk. His eyebrows shot up. “Got it.”

As the rain kept pouring, the roads by the Shaoyang film and television base were flooded with water, reminiscent of large and small beaches. The surface of the water panned out as ripples disturbed it.

Yu Li walked into the dressing room in his costume, waiting for the two makeup artists to come and remove his makeup. Their hand movements were light and agile, afraid that they might accidentally provoke Yu Li’s anger. Although there had never been a rumour of Yu Li scolding a makeup artist, they were still cautious and afraid of that handsome and indifferent face.

Everyone knew that Yu Li had a bad temper, but it seemed that no one on the set ever witnessed him actually lose his temper.

Yu Li paid them no mind, not caring about those insignificant people who were afraid of him. He simply lowered his head and scrolled through his phone.

All of a sudden, the door of the dressing room was pushed open and the assistant Xiao Chen rushed in, a panicked expression on his face. "Mr. Yu--" he stopped abruptly, and then he smiled at the two makeup artists, somewhat embarrassed. "I'm sorry, there's a bit of an urgent matter in the company."

Once the makeup artists stepped out knowingly, he hurried over to Yu Li and said in a low voice. “Mr. Yu, something happened to Jian Yiyi.”

Even though Yu Li and Jian Yiyi were the main leads in the drama “Dynasty,” the two weren’t familiar with each other at all, even in private. He raised his eyes and looked at Xiao Chen through the makeup mirror, expressionless.

Xiao Chen had long grown used to his mannerisms and took the initiative to show him the issue on his phone. "It was reported on the Internet that she was involved in the previous sacking3 incident. Just now Brother Liu called me, and the company said that the film she received will definitely be replaced."

Brother Liu was Yu Li’s agent.

“The crew also wants to change people?” Yu Li asked lightly.

Xiao Chen was stunned. “As of now, there’s no news yet……”

“Then I’ll wait for the news.” He continued to swipe through his phone, unconcerned. Then, he suddenly thought of something and looked up. He asked, “Did Jian Yiyi and Xie Yao have a conflict?”

“Things were a bit unpleasant a while ago.” Given that Yu Li had little interest in gossip, Xiao Chen never talked to him about it. Now that he asked, Xiao Chen laid down the whole story. “There wasn’t any conflict. Xie Yao had NGs4 and Jian Yiyi taught him with a few words.”

Yu Li’s face morphed with disdain. “Still a vengeful  fish5.”

Xiao Chen made a bewildered “ah” sound while Yu Li simply said, “I know.”

Seeing that Yu Li’s attention went back to his phone, Xiao Chen, who had reported the news, prepared to leave. However, just as he was about to step out of the door Yu Li stopped him and called out.

“Wait, help register an account for me.”

Yu Li handed over his phone and on the screen showed the homepage of AC station. Although Xiao Chen was a little curious, he didn’t dare ask. He quickly entered Yu Li’s mobile phone number and verification code, and after receiving the prompt of successful registration, he blurted out, "Mr. Yu, do you want to change the name? If you don't change the username, the ID number will be displayed. "

“En.”

Xiao Chen, who was very experienced translated “en” into “change it.”

“Then what do you want to be called?”

Yu Li looked at his reflection on the mirror. For a time, he stared and thought of something, his expression turning a little happy.

After getting his phone back, Yu Li opened his WeChat and copied a string of text and numbers from the dialogue box. The numbers were sent to him by Yin Su. Ever since Yin Su developed a new skill in typing down minutes, Yu Li asked someone to buy him a phone. This phone was given to Yin Su and usually hung it around his neck to send news at any time.

Yu Li pasted the number in the AC station’s search box and successfully found a live broadcast room which only had a popularity of over a 100 viewers. The host ID was very simple: it was called “Dahuang Inn.”

When he entered the room, he saw the familiar stove. A familiar person stood in front of it and because of the angle, only the abdomen and hands with rolled up sleeves could be seen. The man wore a dark gray apron with an image of a piglet stuck on the lens, covering the face. At that moment, the person was cutting down a hawthorn in a circular motion in the middle.

“In order to remove the core, you have to cut down the hawthorn. But, if you want to save time then you can skip this step.”

Hearing the voice from the speaker, Yu Li almost choked. If he didn’t know that the person broadcasting live was Xie Fei, he would have suspected that a new, sweet girl was at the inn.

However, the barrage was much more direct---

“Ah, I’m dead6, little sister’s voice is so good, I’m so intoxicated and can’t get out....”

“Just looking at the arms and hands, it’s clearly a little brother ah, why is the voice so sweet? Not the greasy chocolate sweet but the freshness of mint sweet!”

“So is it a little sister or a little brother?”

“After watching for half a day, I don’t know if the anchor’s hand is too white it made the Hawthorn too red, or whether the hawthorn was too red, it made the anchor’s hand hot and white? Sending a rocket and cannon to lick7?”

The netizen who fired the barrage was very active and immediately threw out rockets and cannons.

The smile on the corners of Yu Li’s lips froze in an instant. He immediately charged a random number to his bank account and threw out a gift backhandedly.

A district wide announcement floated on the broadcast’s screen: [Are you a pig?] sent  [Dahuang Inn] one deep water bomb, click to go to the TA’s8 room to watch.

On the screen, the hand cutting the hawthorn paused and was stunned. From behind the camera, the corners of Xie Fei’s mouth twitched. He figured that the person who gave the gift was Yu Li but there was no evidence.

However, a deep-water bomb was worth 2000 yuan. Even if he didn't sign a contract, he could still get a 25% commission. Although Xie Fei didn’t do the live broadcast for this kind of reason, he wouldn't refuse if someone wanted to send some money.

In order to live, he was even willing to sell a little bit of his integrity!

And so, Xie Fei expressionlessly pinched his throat and said, “Thank you for the gift, user are you a pig? Mwah.”

He swore that he just copied the trend in thanking gifts so he didn’t know that he could stimulate the other. Suddenly, the screen popped up a cartoon pattern of a deep-water bomb and the numbers beside it kept accumulating——

X1,x2,x3……x10。

The local tyrant’s air swept the whole room instantly. Xie Fei’s knife fell and the netizens were as quiet as a chicken. There was a steady influx of traffic. In a flash, the room’s popularity soared to six digits.

Was money this easy?

Xie Fei was really confused.

Between working hard to cheat on the gift and taking it as soon as he saw it, he chose the latter. It wasn’t because he suddenly had a change of character, turning exemplary and noble, but because he was worried he might say something wrong and cause the car to overturn. What if the gold master asked him to pay back the money? What should he do?

He didn’t have to worry about the others but the gold master was most probably someone he knew. Not only that, that person could definitely do this sort of thing.

Xie Fei took a deep breath and calmly finished recording the "Candied Hawthorn Making Tutorial.” During this period, he only said a few words, all in different ways to promote his own inn.  As long as this wave of popularity could bring a 0.01% offline efficiency rate, he wouldn’t have to worry about next month or even the next month……

After saying “goodbye,” Xie Fei turned off the live broadcast. He cleaned up the kitchen and went out with a bunch of candied hawthorn in his hands. When he went out, he realized that the rain finally stopped.

The scent of rain-soaked flowers lingered in the air, resting on the tip of his nose. Xie Fei saw Xiang Fei sitting on the newly built wooden swing in the courtyard, a beauty leaning against it while blowing out clouds of mist and smoke.

“Xiang Fei, where’s Brother Ah Fu?”

Xiang Fei quickly put out the smoke and fanned the fog around her wildly. With a smile she said, “He went to the backyard to prepare the ground.”

Xie Fei nodded his head. Before leaving, he turned to Xiang Fei and gave a bunch of candied hawthorns. He couldn’t help himself and advised her. “Smoke less ba. It’s not good for your health.”

But when he finished speaking, he thought about it. Xiang Fei was a demon. Were the ways of human health still useful for her?

He made his way to the backyard and found Ah Fun in the process of weeding the mud. Seeing that there were a bunch of newly grown weeds, Xie Fei couldn’t help but wonder. "We just removed the weeds yesterday. How come there are so many?"

Ah Fu straightened and thought for a moment.

"It should be because of the revival of spiritual energy and the seal of the spirit array was released after the Dongfu recognized its master. It gradually resumed its operation."

After Ah Fu explained, Xie Fei realized that the well was actually the eye of the spiritual array. He thought of the flowers and trees in the inn that were growing larger and better, deeply pondering on it.

"Don't worry, boss. I know how to deal with it." Ah Fu said, expressing his stand.

"Then, I’ll entrust it to Brother Ah Fu." Xie Fei passed him a candied hawthorn sugar and added, "Let’s take a break ba."

As they gnawed on the candied hawthorn facing each other, Xie Fei recalled something.

“Brother Ah Fu, I heard from your boss that after the calamity the demon clan degenerated into its original form and gradually disappeared, but you are all okay. Is it because you were sealed at that time?"

Although Yu Li once gave him an unclear answer, Xie Fei thought about it and felt that this explanation seemed more reasonable.

Ah Fu nodded then shook his head. "Xiang Fei and I really fell asleep because the cave was sealed. When the cave reappeared, we could barely maintain our human figures using the remaining spiritual power in the inn, but the boss was always outside."

Xie Fei stood up in surprise. “Then how is he all right?"

Ah Fu suddenly smirked and laughed. "Hey, I don't know how the boss came down, but he did degenerate into his original form. Without intelligence, being stupid and savage, for more than a thousand years---”

Before the words fell, Ah Fu was kicked, flying across the skies. A loud bang was heard and the wall in front of him actually cracked into a human shaped hole. The surrounding seemed to solidify until suddenly one brick fell unsteadily, and then another, and another…..

With a loud crash, the wall collapsed

The dust scattered around. Xie Fei turned his neck stiffly and saw Yu Li’s cold expression, lips stretched into a thin and straight line. Without warning, the other party looked over. His dark eyes reflected a long winter night with two burning sparks that collapsed into a black hole. It’s as if all that could be seen in those eyes could easily be sucked into the vortex.

Xie Fei's back turned cold and he shivered unconsciously.

He realized that Yu Li was very angry, angrier than ever before.

Xie Fei had no time to worry about the cost of repairing the walls. He quickly compiled a small list in his mind, trying to calm Yu Li down in the shortest amount of time possible.

Unfortunately, he was a step too late.

In his ear, Yu Li’s cold and merciless voice sounded, “22,000, return it!”

the author has something to say:

Yu: Is this how you treat the gold master?

Xie: Mwah, mwah, mwah....

Yu: Here, 22,000
