Mmorpg: Unity

The morning air was stiff with an over layer of awkwardness, Shaka's face is also not helping as by being unemotional, none of his team know what really happened in the red room between Shaka and Shay.

Julee is unconcerned with the whole thing. Ahmani and Linga are to embarrassed to ask as they are the ones who brought Shay. Travis is of a similar mind set as it was by his command. Roger on the other hand...

At the breakfast table a note arrives from Dinga, for Vusi "Come alone to the Bastard's Inn in the western favelas. I have something you might [a hand drawn picture of a wooden piece that is thin and similar in color to the bladed staff].

Vusi who is about to leap into action alone, is stopped dead in tracks by Julee " Where are you going all of a sudden, without any back up? lets finish eating breakfast and we can go together," She had seen the note as being the only person sitting besides him. Linga was waiting by Ahmani's door she was taking her usual time getting her face on in the morning. A strange boiling causes Shaka to ask for the note from Vusi.

"Sir, its kinda personal if you catch my drift." Vusi is trying to spare his team mates the trouble they might face, plus Shaka did say "they were going to discuss a mission given to them by the team leader Shay." He knew that "this mos def a trap for me, so why i gotta set up my boys too imma just go alone and get this over with. especially nowadays they have a reliable leader who can help them all grow."

Vusi's inner thoughts were rather correct to him, if this was before he would not have hesitated to ask for help from the group but now he could not ask them to sacrifice their futures for him. Shaka said " As your leader, if you cant ask me for help...if any of you cant ask me for help then why are we even a team. Our vows is not only to the legion but to each other, now please hand it over."

Vusi with lowers his head feeling a tinge of shame at his behavior, Shaka is right from the moment they all meet, a team was formed truly, even before they saw how powerful he was they were willing to work with him.

He stretches his arm out handing the note to Shaka who hands it back to immediately saying "I cant read this language." Vusi chuckles as he rereads the letter out loud to the group. Ahmani who only caught the tail end of it says " So yeah, after food yeah we going to kick his b.u.t.t," her voice still cute as buttons, causing most of the table to smile at her suggestion.

Shaka says " First we will handle this then we go and find general Mace after we port to Eden." [Even thou the king would prefer everyone call both cities Arcadia most people call the the other side Eden as the words both mean the same thing.]

The troop is sitting and discussing the main the points of the the mission from Shay. Once more Julee orders for the whole table some oats that are flavored with all kinds of berries. Shaka then asks " Does anyone know anything about the Bastards Inn," The table is full of people shaking their heads

until "Why would the likes of you be trying to go to that piece of crap that barely qualifies as an Inn?"

Shaka responds turning his head to meet the face of the same lady who served them the previous night "Well it seems we have some business to conduct and our contact chose the Bastards Inn at a meeting point."

After hearing that she directs them to the Inn while also giving them a warning about the whole Western Favelas.

As they have what little information they could get Shaka and the troops move out of the Inn and in the directions given to them by the waitress " Boss i'm going out for a bit, i will be right back!"

The path they were taking took past the old market place where their was another set of raw mineral and herbs that the squad could get.

The people in the western favelas were of all kinds and class it was a melting pot of those middle class and below, besides the criminal elements operating in board daylight here, the people seemed to resilient and hard working. The kids who all had bags on their bag going to school, "must be nice to at least get an education.{how naive is this guy?}

The Bastards Inn was exactly as its name suggests, as it is part arena, part tower and mostly Inn. The mixture somehow making sense, they number of guards here was virtually none existent however they didn't want to take any chances so they all wore masks except Vusi who, as of the market is walking alone towards the Inn as planned.

They arrived shortly before Vusi did taking a spot on one of the group viewing tables overlooking the fighting pit in the inner rim of the Inn. The crude and dingy walls almost coming alive form all the blood that has been split. The air filled with a heavy iron smell. The tables and chairs uneven for some even looked recently repaired. Once again Julee order all the drinks for table and starting shooting the shit with the whole crew.

Vusi enters the Inn, his eyes pivoting from side to side hoping to catch a glimpse of the piece of husk known as Dinga. The man is sitting towards the arena in a look out box that hangs around the walls of the arena.

Dinga waves him down "I see you were stupid enough to come alone, seize him! " Vusi allows himself to be caught by the two bodyguards from yesterday. Dinga is chuffed with himself "You gonna learn today, that their are consequences to messing with me," Dinga pulls out the very thing that Vusi came for, the sheathe for his bladed staff. As Dinga swings with all his might Vusi does a slight adjustment which causes the blow land on the bodyguard to his left.

The man even cries out in pain as the blow lands. "Hold him still, what the hell is wrong with you guys, cant even hold down a weakling like him." Of course the fool had justified to himself that yesterday must have been a lucky shot for Vusi.

Dinga launches another blow this time it lands, squarely on the back of the bodyguard to the right of Vusi is holding his head down trying to hold back the laughter.

The training program has even over a short period had helped all of them push through a bottle neck that they had arrived at, each of the three techniques on their own might not have any results but by mixing Shaka's exercise, Linga's breathing technique and the tome's willpower meditation made the morning exercise extremely beneficial even if none of them have once managed to finish the whole set in one morning they are steadily making progress. It would take the squad the better part of a year to finish the exercise in one morning.

Vusi says "You monster, let me go and fight me like a man coward," Dinga has always been had a bigger bite than bark that Vusi was not willing to fight against due to his background.

The pair had grown up together, as a member of the same clan as Dinga, even thou Vusi belong to the main branch of the Grekos clan. Dinga had always been more powerful and thus enjoyed the benefits of that. The reason being his father had died at a young age which allowed his grand uncle to take control of the family.

All his supporters had either been silenced or have only helped him in the shadows in fact the War Hammer he is using is stolen from the his father's personal treasury by his mother and her relatives for him.

Vusi and Dinga, even joined the legion together where he could barely keep up with Dinga. As the years progressed Dinga became more and more arrogant towards him. The breaking point coming when he challenged Vusi to dual, for their common love interest Julee.

She had made it very clear that no matter who won wouldn't determine who she goes out with. When Dinga won the fight and tried to claim she rebuked causing him to take her weapon which is a family heirloom.

Vusi had tried to get it back immediately afterwards and in the process Dinga broke his arm in a rage. Dinga them used the heirloom as his weapon to join another squad in the Ebon Legion, called Castle. Which is lead by one of the most powerful and Ruthless generals called kaiser Septum.

Vusi one that day had vowed to get the heirloom back. Back then none of them could stand up to Dinga, due to his new found support. Travis had even said that as long as an opportunity presented itself they would take back the heirloom, however Vusi made them all promise to leave it to him, especially Julee who has no one to back her.

The squad then face a difficult time as Dinga would continuously try suppress them. The reason the Legion allowed this is because only power has the right the exist in the legion. It is a founding rule of the entire Ebon Legion.

Vusi was filled with all kinds of emotions at the moment. Today he would regain his lost honor and prove to himself that he is not weak. His whole life could be shaped by this one moment.

Right after his fight with Dinga, he had fallen to a dark place, of endless drinking and taking uncalled for risks during his missions all in an attempt to ride himself of this weakness. While he might not be able to Daniel that today, at the very least he would begin to heal the knot in his heart for the amount of pain he caused Julee.

Today he would defeat his nemesis and deliver to Julee a complete Weapon.

Dinga had almost lost control just now at Vusis provocation.This insect had dared twice now to defy him. Dinga agrees to the bout. Declaring to the entire room, "This is a fight to the death between the two of us, no one is allowed to interfere."

He command his bodyguards to through Vusi into the pit. Of course he took the the stairs, and almost as if the whole thing had being planned by Dinga the whole pit lit and dozens of people filled the viewing areas.

The sudden eruption of people present mostly from castle squad, gave Shaka pause even if they couldn't fight all of them, he might make it out but his team would not.

The all used their vantage point to look down at the battle about to take place. Julee asked him for their money bag which was about six hundred gold thick. Shaka said "bet all of it, money is no problem."

Up in receiving the large bet a number of underworld figures made themselves known. As Julee had guessed if enough money is.bet they would make sure that no interferes. Julee even said to the bartender, "bet on the little guy with the War Hammer it easy money for you."

The arena erupted the screaming "Dinga!" as he entered the arena waving around a long sword in his hand. Vusi had picked himself up and was waiting for the his nemesis.

Shaka like the rest of the troop was watching closely. An announcer took hold the crowd "My people, today we have a grudge match between two combatants, today the blood will flow and a life will be lost, all bets are off today. let the battle begin!"

In the shadows of the arena if one looked closely they would Shay and Gruk in the crowd sitting next to some of the hidden powers of the city.
