Mmorpg: Unity

An ominous wind blew past the team, that had just come upon the capital of Compton kingdom, Arcadia a paradise built on the back of a titan. Shaka and the team, are at the inn outside the city gate. Linga had lost the game of Rock, Paper, Scissors, Wyrm, Merlin, and was standing in the long Jack-o'-lantern queue to get through the city gate. Ahmani was with Linga in line she had volunteered to join him as someone would need to call the group when it was there turn to be processed by the city guard.

The Inn stood out from the city, every single exterior wall was made out Pinewood, the Travelers Inn, was an ample building inside and plump with all kinds of activities, candle light chandeliers hanging from the ceiling above. Julee blushed when she saw a couple kissing passionately, to the dismay of the Uruk maid servant she quickly approaches the couple reminding them where they are. The tables are set out in a diners fashion allowing for up to eight to sit comfortable. They sit down on the gold painted chairs place around their table. A band of merry people is celebrating singing a song of the fish and the sea.

Shaka waves down the Leoman(beast-man) female, "excuse me miss," Shaka adds. Her ears perk in his direction before her head quickly follows, the long maid dress she is wearing barely able to hold hold her unforgiving bosom. Her plump face is cute her cat eyes big, bright and bushes as her tail.

"How can I help you today sirs," her voice is loud but not shouting she can be heard over the adventure party that is celebrating some sort of achievement. Shaka says "A bottle of your finest and a round of.....Ah sorry I'm getting ahead of myself, what your guys poison?"

Roger immediately said "Any dark ale made from river moss please," She nods looking to Julee "Uhm, I think I will have a water for now, maybe a food menu I want see what foods you have." Handing over a small wooden plate with a menu on it, She turns to Vusi next "I'm gonna have whateva da boss is having arit wit me," Vusi was not to be outdone, She smiles as she turns to Travis "A sweet mead, would be most agreeable ma'am," She turned back to Julee who still had her head deep in the menu "I will bring out your drinks soon, please shout if you need anything else." she walks away silently despite her large frame her racial trait made her footsteps silent as an assassin.

Shaka turned to Vusi "So tell me about yourself Vusi, I don't think I can place your accent,"

"Accent whatcha mean I gotta accent, I would have you'll know I've been told before dat i have no accent at all," Everyone at the table laughed as Shaka had a mistake they had all made before, being the only one actually from Lu, Vusi was correct as it was them who in fact had the accents. Once this was explained Shaka understood and chuckled by himself. Shaka had changed his mind once again "these people are useful." "So how long have you'll been a team, before I came along?"

Roger says "while beside you'll, the rest of the oaks have been around for donkeys ek se, shit i meant five jaar, ja exactly"

"Yeah i guess has been that long chap, geez time sure does fly by in a blink of an eye." Travis is playing with his scruffy beard.

"It all thanks to legion that we are here we are all form the same training hall in Lu, we were lucky enough to pass and get into the reserve force of the combat division, we have been working hard on getting promoted i feel that with a little pushing from you we will definitely be much stronger and pass the officer training program in Lumeria." Julee nearly spilled all the beans catching all the boys by surprise.

"She has never taken to trusting anyone as quickly as you Sir," Julee blushes at Vusi's comment.

As the drinks arrives Julee orders "please, please can we get a seafood platter for ten please and thank you okay?" Julee orders on behalf of the whole, since Shaka likes seafood he finds no reason to our cold water over the girl.

"Right away miss, please be patient as it may take a while longer the cook is rather whelmed at the moment."

"I think its because like the rest, we think there is something special about you Sir, I have never felt such growth in my abilities after such a short time, and your are fair as far as i can tell, none us feel like we we are working for only your benefit." Travis sips his mead, a small smile across his face as if he just got a kiss from his lover.

Shaka says "I have been meaning to ask, if the Legion is professional army how can such things happen?"

Roger who is already half done with his drink responds "Well ek dink its because you know, those oaks in Legion use there connections to in, or ahead of the rest..so ja..even some of the oaks and bettys in our own legion did the same so you know its everywhere china."

Travis interjects " Yes, of course that is the case many in fact, have before used their influence to the detriment of the rest of their squad."

Shaka can see its not a good topic as they all sip their drinks in an awkward silence, music and laughter in the background

Travis salvages the conversation by talking about the benefits they have been getting by joining in on the exercise in the mornings with Shaka, soon the whole group is laughing and talking again Shaka nods at Travis a thank you shared with the simply kowtow of the head.

[Somewhere in Arcadia]

The Compton Kingdoms capital city is located at the realm gate the only city that can boast to exist in two realms. Their king claims that his ancestor harnessed the power of the gate to build the city causing it to be about as big as the {Gateway Arch} in the middle of the of what can only be describe as the most magical border control. Its simple design captivating and wondrous, many make pilgrim in hopes of gaining knowledge about the gateway was built.

The fort around the gate can process millions of people everyday making sure that everyone uses the gate in an orderly fashion while collecting a small fees in return. The kingdom of Compton is built out of a grey stone ever building in this land uses it. It is a stone made out of the corpse of a titan the last of its species in this realm killed by the first king Uriel Hebe in the first cataclysm.

The stone holds many secrets privy, only to the royal family. One of these properties is its self binding nature once the stack on top of another and a little mana poured through them they bind perfectly to one another. It was how they were able to build the Gateway and the giant fort surrounding it and many other architectural marvels.

[Fort master Benjamin Thomas] "The anomaly should be arriving within the next few days, while we have been unable to pinpoint the exact source we know at the very least it is in the Legion, as long as we act quickly and bribe the right people we should be get a hold of the information we need to secure the anomaly." a local Demifolk, with a dark purple skin and fiery blue hair and golden eyes is reporting to his master. Deep inside the fort a corner office with a view of the Gateway, behind a redwood desk sits his master, a figure wearing a green cloak that covered every bit of his body.

the master only waves him away him as he turns to face the gateway his whole wall turns translucent.

[sometime after getting processed]

Shaka is looking at another impressive medieval building, the Nutmeg Trading company occupies it he had been told that this general has many if not all the wares available in the city in one place. The team used this opportunity to pick up a large amount of materials for Smithing, Alchemy and Enchanting , the one thing that The City of Arcadia had in abundance is crystallized mana which is popularly called moon bliss.

Anyone who handles it barehanded will at first be over come by a sense of euphoria before dying of mana poisoning their is no known cure. The group is exploring and chatting with one another about the various sights and sounds.

"I heard from one of the other squads that the city has most amazing selection of dried meats, their prime cut being the ostrich jerky made by Rudolph Meyers and sons butchery. The two men who have been long time lovers had made this shop when, Arthur Rudolph took an lightning storm spell from an evil mage to the face leaving him crippled. The story is well known as Sir Rudolph was on track to be knight commander of the Kings knights before the accident." Roger says as he wants to visit the shop.

Julee had planned for all them to stay at the Bending Mans Inn, known for its strong and colorful spirit alcohol. By the time they had been processed by the city to enter the city, it was already late evening so they decided to immediately let Ahmani and Linga find the Moon Bliss, while Vusi and Julee arrange accommodation and Shaka and Travis find the Alchemy equipment while Roger slipped away to the butchery.

They all separated with plan to meet in an hour. Shaka was filled slight sense of disappointment in the Cauldron wares shop, manned by a Dryad, the shop which next door to the Nutmeg Company, was filled with mainly basic alchemy herbs and roots and bulbs nothing really stood except for the fact that each and herb was of a great quality. Shaka cleared out the whole shop, as a team leader he had been given about 1000 gold for his teams activities and since they had explored mostly outside of cities they had not used it at all.

The herbs were held in Travis's bag of holding, the team was mandated by Shaka to pick up anything they needed for personal use. The Nutmeg companies prices were a bit high so Shaka made the decision to visit every shop for the goods they need.

"Hey look if it isnt ghost of my past i thought you guys left the legion for being too weak." A shrill, unnerving voice rang out in the night, it sent chills into the Julee, as they had been the first to arrive at the agreed upon meeting place.

Vusi moves in front of her placing himself between Dinga and Julee, "We ain't your playthings bro, get to steppin before i throw these hands."

"Ah it seems the worm has grown a spine, boys maybe i should break it for fun it has been a while" His two men start laughing at the comment, At the same time Travis, sees Dinga and slowly walks with his down joining the two, Shaka know that something is not right but decides to let he mean handle it.

Vusi says "I would love to see you try daddy's boy,"

Dinga is thrown off as in his recollection Vusi had never once spoken back to him even after he broke his arm as a joke. "Maybe i will then someone has to remind you of your place maggot."

Shaka moves to intercept the really slow blow coming at Vusi, who is waiting until the last possible moment, then Vusi Jumps up and drops kicks the foolish Dinga in face....
