Mmorpg: Unity

Mandla had finally logged out after spent the whole day in game. In the excitement of the day he had failed to link his Echo[social media]to his Unity profile. He then did so, and received an assortment of messages from his friends and most importantly his lifetime crush Tiana Dawn, a radiant personality in his life,a soft spoken jewel of the Kalahari. Sun kissed, her skin dark beautiful, subtle yet mesmerizing, his mind wandering as thoughts of her filled him with joy. He drifted away as the excitement of day passed, he fell into deep a sleep he was really tired.

Suddenly he got up, it was the witching hour, he seriously needed the bathroom, he ran straight to the bathroom, not even giving a second thought to the people sleeping in the house. Shortly after washing his hands he got a call from Richard Lynch who was awake at this hour. They talked about their experiences in Unity.

Richard thought Mandla was really unlucky as he only maybe needed one more day before he reached Mvezo city even thou he had only started playing the 5[20 hours in game]hours ago. Mandla asked Richard why he started so late, he laughed and said that he was still recovering from Mandla's 18th birthday that had happened the day before the opening of Unity. They "shot the shit" for a while longer before Richard said he might have found something interesting and needed to focus on the game.

Mandla went into the kitchen to get a plate of food that was left on the table for him presumably by his mother Florence. As he was enjoying the plate a bulletin passed by on the wall. Informing him about how Unity had been successfully linked to the Solar trade network. Unity was to introduce a special reward system for those who get high achievements in game by the end of the week.

The last report was about the untimely death of [alpha tester] General Kobe, on the Onizaku battle station, it is unknown what caused his death authorities are investigating. Expected to replace him is 5 star General Gregory Fox, a hero from the Last War.

Mandla found that he was actually well rested his new nanties meant that at most people only 4 hours of R.E.M Sleep to maintain peak performance. He looked at the reward system for Unity achievements.

The two grade of rewards that caught his eye out of the 5, was that he could use gold to buy real life blueprints for his synthesizer{next level 3d printer} and civilian grade nano upgrades,which are basically military upgrades that have been declassified.

Now he got an even greater shock when he thought about how this could change his home life.

Unity had given the people of solar system a means to effectively and safely enteract with each other, this also meant that many different service<red light, mercenary, smuggling etc>industries would start to boom allowing people to make a lot of money.

After wasting an hour in the bath he went to 24 hour deli and ordered a stem pack for himself and sister Amandla, his parents wished to have twins even thou they didn't him and his sister basically shared the same name. The twins would tease him by calling him by his sisters name. It's was also the groups solgan.

When he got back home, his mother was already awake getting ready to go to Central city where most planteray civilian offices could be found. (the former C.A.R.)

Mandla gave her a hug and proceeded to his room.

He then close his door and logged into Unity. As soon as first light broke, he ran back to the the Wiseman and her husband haha. Their he correctly knew Kaya wanted to give him a quest. As soon as their eyes meet Kaya said he needs help from Shaka, what he needed was for him to go and collect a few things that he needs.

Shaka accepted, he scoffed as he thought to himself a fetch quest. At least it would be simply.

He needed 20 Brittlewood, 20 Sunglass root, 20 Blazepowder, 20 cups of black water and one Redsand Rose. He ask Kaya where could find these items he simply touched him on the shoulder and the locations direct entered his mind.

He went into the area surrounding the village and went to work on the list. Along the route he meet more creatures and was able to kill all of them quickly enough due to Morningstar. Of special note he fought and wounded a Golden-Tsessebe a level 7 rank 7 antelope. The brittlewood was from actually harder to find than he previously thought. It required him to put in extra effort in not only picking a tree that was big enough but he also had to make sure it didn't have any platinum toothed Baboons like the first one he came across.

Each of the items test his patience in different ways as, Sunglass root [devil's thorns] was covered in micro thorns making extremely painful to collect as it even went through his basic shoes. The Blazepowder was located on the backs of the Rockturtle which he had to coax to the surface by throwing in live fireants. The blackwater was probably the easiest the only thing that made it dangerous was that it was in the territory of the African wild dog which roamed area the in groups of five. By the time midday had arrived he was level 4 with only a bit left before, he would be level 5.

Shaka immediately knew that it was because of the spear now he really wanted to unseal it but was unwilling to meet the Queen as he wasn't sure he would be able to complete any quest she might give. In his heart he knew that he would have to face her eventually as the spear must have something to do with another quest.

The Redsand Rose is actually the stringer of a level 7 rank 7 Redsand scorpion. When he checked his memory he saw the old man had given him a method to face the scorpion, only it was rather embarrassing as he had cover himself in the dung of Cloud elephant and also make sure to rub the tip of the spear with the blood of mandrake grass a naturally neutralizing agent to the scorpions' poison. This was also the first time he felt he needed his shield so he equiped it and moved his spear to his right hand. His right hand started burning but for reason he was unable to let go of Morningstar. Runes were floating out of the spear into his arm slowly, he nearly passed out from the pain. After almost an hour of this he leveled up but not how he expected.

Shaka mistakenly believed that when he moved his spear into his right hand he had trigger something.

Back at Longmin HQ, Oshun said, to the Dotocr that, the last four pieces have been found. She was referring to the unique set of weapons that Morningstar belong to.

At the same time when Shaka had moved his spear into his right hand. An Amazonia region player Pablo[real name José Machado] had found the first axe[Chaac]. Which was used by Tlaloc[son of kali] to bring the rain by moving the lifewater into the sky turning the sky blue.

The last piece which triggered a nanite update in the seven holders.

Oshun had created many items with special updates, she needed the data sets it world provide. Of the various projects she performed in game this one had 90%percent failure chance and 99% stress rating which meant that it could destroy his nanites leaving him permanently injured if handled poorly. It had even killed someone!
