93 Chapter 93 Blond Beauty

"Really...you know how I behave when I'm drunk, luckily I was at home or the uber driver would have made different stops" Alex spoke and Annie burst into laughter as she recalled a past experience.

One night Alex, Gabriel, and Annie went out, they all got drunk but Alex was worst, he ordered an Uber and drove around town searching for his house.

They finally arrived at his apartment but he claimed it wasn't his, Annie and Gabriel dragged him till they got inside the house, all of them slept there that night, so that was why Alex was able to recall what happened.

"I'm leaving now, you can go take your bath, thanks for yesterday," Annie said as she stood up from the bed.

"Yesterday...I don't even remember what happened" Alex mumbled to himself.

"Say hi to your mum for me and your sisters" Annie spoke as she stepped out.

"Okay..."

'Woah...I still can't believe her parents split up, and I totally forgot what happened yesterday, I'm an adult and I can't take even a can of beer, I'm ashamed of myself'

Alex stood up to take his bath when he heard a knock on the door, Alex moved towards the door as he thought Annie forgot something. The door opened and Max was standing there.

"Morning..." he said with a smile.

"Morning, did you come here to say that or what?"

"I was passing and I saw that cute girl coming out of your apartment, that means she spent the night here," Max said as he flashed Alex a smile.

"I think you should mind your business" Alex spoke with an irritated expression.

"I'm just saying if..." Max gulped and swallow the rest of the word he wanted to say as Alex gave him a stern look.

"I'm sorry sir" Max apologized and stepped backward.

"Is there a new update?" Alex asked.

"No there's nothing new...how did you know I played the game last night?" Max asked.

"I just asked, I had no idea you played the game, what is wrong with that?"

"We play as a team so you might be angry I played on my own," Max said.

"I'm currently at level 17 and you are at level 8 you'll need to play as much as you can to catch up, why would I be angry, it's not like we planned to be a team from the very beginning"

"Then I'm going to try and catch up to you," Max said loudly.

"Okay, I hope you level up quickly cause we'll need you–as a shield to protect ourselves" Alex smirked as he turned around and closed his door slowly.

"So mean" Max mumbled as he continued upstairs.

'We can reach the top if we stick together, I can't wait to leave the Bronze continent and meet with high-level players'

'I already met a high-level player, I forgot about Huntress...wait I already forgot about the gods and their shit'

'If I tell someone about this, they would say I'm crazy so I'll just keep it to myself, elder gods, magic, warriors...they seem surreal, I'll just focus on my life and try to forget about them' Alex mumbled as he stepped into his bathroom.

In front of the building where Alex lives, a young girl around his age was sitting on a wooden bench close to a supermart.

She had blond hair that was tied in a ponytail and wore huge glasses, she stood there not minding the attention she was drawing to herself as boys and girls stared at her as they walked by.

She was extremely attractive and boys were clearly ogling her as they walked by, she wore a black jacket and tight black pants even though the weather wasn't cold and she didn't take her eyes off the building for a second.

"Hi..." a boy said to her.

"Hi" she replied with a smile.

"Y-You have been s-sitting here for a while, are you looking for someone?" the boy asked, he wasn't composed as he spoke to her.

He was shaking with nervousness and his palms were sweaty, it looked like it was his first time talking to someone this beautiful.

"You work here right?"

"Y-Yes, and you were staring at that building, I know everyone there so I can take you there," the boy said trying to maintain his composure.

"I'm waiting for someone, but thanks for the help" she spoke and flashed him a smile before facing forward again.

"O-Okay, bye," the boy said as he turned around and walked away.

"Bye...where are you going, I thought you worked here?" the girl asked.

"Huh! sorry...I was looking at something" the boy lied, he had forgotten that he was on duty after speaking to an angel.

"Humans...so predictable" she scoffed and once again focused on the building.

"I still have an hour left, I should stop for a burger before leaving" Alex muttered as he looked at his phone.

He had finished taking his bath and packed his bag, he was only taking a few things including his VR helmet, if he forgot his helmet he would have to travel back here to get it.

Alex wasn't with any money so didn't take his wallet only his credit card, and a headset. Alex turned on the headset and connected it to his phone and played a song.

He shook his head as he walked down the stairs with his bag, if not for his helmet the bag would have been lighter than a feather.

Alex exited the building and walked towards the nearest eatery, immediately the blond girl sighted him she stood up immediately and followed him from across the street.

"That must be him, I can sense strange energy from over here, is he going somewhere, why is he so handsome" the girl mumbled as she walked forward.

Alex stopped and pushed the door to the eatery opened, the bell rang and the girl at the counter looked at him.

"I'll take a large burger and a milkshake" Alex spoke as he took his headset off.

"Okay, are you taking them away?" the girl asked.

"No I'm staying" Alex replied.

"Okay, just wait a sec," the girl said and Alex wore his headset again as he sat on one of the chairs close to the counter.

'How can a boy be so pretty, and he comes here regularly but I've never seen him with a girl, is he gay...no he's not gay' the girl thought as she stare at Alex.

"Here's your order," the girl said to Alex after a few seconds.

Alex took his food and made himself comfortable in one of their chairs, he took off his headset as he began to munch on his burger.

He was quite hungry since he drank last night, and he had to fill his stomach before getting on the train back home. The bell rang again but Alex didn't pay any attention to the door as he ate his food.

After some minutes a girl sat in front of him, Alex knew it was a girl but he didn't look at her face or acted like she existed, he just kept eating.

"You are Alex right" the girl spoke.

"Yes, do you know me?" Alex asked as he looked at her.

'Hmm... she's pretty cute, but nothing I haven't seen'

"I don't know you but you are pretty handsome for a human" the girl smiled.

"...For a human?"

"Yes, the last time I saw a human this handsome was roughly 60 years ago," the girl said.

Alex stared at her without speaking, the girl in front of him was around his age, she might even be younger than him and the last time she saw a handsome human was 60 years.

"I didn't think crazy people still exist," Alex said as he focused back on his milkshake, he had finished the burger and now he was prepared to leave.

The girl didn't say a word after that and Alex didn't spare her a glance as he strode outside of the eatery and stopped a taxi, he entered the taxi and headed for the train station and the girl stepped out of the eatery.

"Getting on my nerves already, I just need a place without humans so I could finish the job and head back" the blond girl sighed and walked forward.
