She considered the possibility that he had awoken in the barrel. He had suggested it was possible to rest comfortably in the confined area. However, she desired to be spared. She should have shouted for him to flee, but the oppressive atmosphere had robbed her of her voice.

Upon the man’s entrance, her tension decreased slightly, and she could take a deep breath. she then turned her gaze towards Do-Yoon.

It is possible that the zombie assumed she could not defend herself, as she could not move effectively, and thus it chose to move away.

What course of action should she take? Should she depart immediately?

‘After all, even if that guy dies, he’ll come back to life. But not me.’

When she encountered death, she felt a shiver run through her. Most importantly, she was made aware of the value of her life. she had to gather the essential components and utilize them to ensure her survival, but that was a matter for another time.

‘What do I know about the future? Right now, I have to live no matter what I do!’

Their gazes locked, and she could read apprehension in his eyes, but something more profound was present.

“Hurry, sister! Please take care of yourself in this situation rather than worrying about me. Focus on your safety!”

He delivered a forceful kick to the zombie’s abdomen while berating himself, throwing a blanket over the creature to obscure its vision.

This entity is classified as a mid-level boss, possessing an aptitude for cunning tactics.

“Behind, behind! Be careful!”

She was alarmed to discover the zombie that should have groaned suddenly appearing from beneath the blanket behind her, stretching out his hands. Fearing for her safety, she shouted in an attempt to deter him. Thankfully, he immediately turned around and raised his arms in a defensive posture. Although it was a brief respite, she was relieved that he was unharmed. If only she had been equipped with a suitable weapon, she would have been able to withstand the situation for longer.

“Hurry, sister! I’ll handle this!”

She is at a loss for escaping the situation; she feels exasperated, and her hands are balled into fists.

“I… I’m… I’m okay even if I die… Ugh, cluck! Ahh… It’s alright… Hurry…!”

Despite the potential consequences, he appears unconcerned with the risks he takes. He seems confident that he will return unscathed, regardless of the outcome. However, hearing him suggest that he is willing to accept death is peculiar.

“Ah, geez. I’m sure I’ll regret this… I don’t know what will happen now. Let it be as it will.”

She discarded the drugs and books on the desk in the direction of the zombie and unintentionally hit the person beside her. However, that was of little consequence.

The zombie nervously approached her and was about to grasp her neck with its hands when she swiftly countered by stabbing its sole eye with her cutter.

“Kyaaaak! Kyaaaak!”

Regardless of the accuracy of the strike, the zombie reacted with a loud shriek upon impact to its single eye. Its weak point was the eye that remained intact on half of its face, in contrast to the empty eye socket on the other side.

Unfortunately, this was only a temporary solution. To ultimately defeat it, they needed to reduce its HP to zero. Still, at this point, it was beyond their capabilities as its HP was too great.

“Yoon!”

she maneuvered her body and used her foot to shove the zombie aside before sprinting towards him.

“We have to run away now! Can you move?”

“I can move… Ah…”

With relief, she assumed the individual’s condition would improve shortly. Fortunately, its eyes were shut, so it would be hard to detect them if we concealed ourselves in the vicinity. However, it was still advisable to distance themselves as much as possible.

The middle zombie possessed two unique capabilities. Firstly, he could teleport to any location within his line of vision. Secondly, he could perceive through objects. He could imprint a thing with his hand and then view it through his eyes, regardless of the distance.

It is worth noting that the eye he possessed was not genuine but rather a tool to access his second power. Despite not having an eye, he was still capable of sight.

This individual was a demanding supervisor who could traverse the entire school campus. It was quite a daunting task to take on.

“Well… let’s rest here for now.”

In haste, she opened the door nearby and stepped inside. Her eyes could make out the room’s general shape despite the lack of light. After verifying that no one was present, she secured the entrance and located a sofa-like structure upon which she gently placed the individual.

“Doyun-ah, are you okay? Can you calm down?”

“Haa, haa… Sister.”

His respiration was noticeably strained. It was difficult to ascertain the source of his injury as she could only make out his silhouette.

She steadied her hand as she delicately wiped the sweat from his brow. She was overwhelmed by the realization that this was all she could do, yet she held her tongue and refrained from speaking.

‘I’m sorry… I’m so sorry.’

He suffered this injury while attempting to protect her, and she was considering fleeing to preserve her safety. This thought process filled her with guilt, and tears began streaming down her face.

“I’m sorry… I’m sorry. Do-yoon…”
