CHAPTER 1- MEETING YOU

“I’m sorry, Yao Yao.” Su Hanyu clasped his hands together and apologized to Miao Xingyao, “It’s really because we don’t have enough staff today that I’m asking you to come and help me on my day off.”

Miao Xingyao gently put down Su Hanyu’s hand and smiled, “It’s alright, we’re good friends, so it’s only right to help out. Besides, you are almost a mother and shouldn’t have to worry about it.”

Since it was a day off and the cafe was crowded, Su Hanyu had to ask Miao Xingyao to help out. Of course, she would pay her salary, which Su Hanyu insisted on.

“You’re not still waiting for that male senior of yours, are you?” Su Hanyu caught up with Miao Xingyao.

“What are you talking about?” Miao Xingyao gave Su Hanyu a blank look and said, “I’m just longing for the senior. What’s the point of waiting. The senior doesn’t even know me.”

Miao Xing Yao hurried back to the counter, tugged Su Hanyu and said, “Guess who I just met.”

“Who is it.” Su Hanyu asked casually while doing the task at hand.

Miao Xing Yao whispered, “I met the senior.”

“Senior?” Su Hanyu asked, “Which senior? That scum ex-boyfriend of yours?”

Miao Xingyao said with a straight face, “Su Hanyu!”

“Sorry, sorry.” Su Hanyu said apologetically, “You guys weren’t even together. Who exactly did you meet?”

“Senior Yu Jingxuan.” Miao Xingyao was a little shy when she mentioned her senior.

Su Hanyu put down the chores in her hands and said excitedly, “Fate! This proves that you and the senior are destined to be together! Why don’t you serve?”

Miao Xingyao struggled to keep her mouth shut and said, “Senior ordered two cups of coffee and was dressed formally, unlike waiting for a friend. Moreover, two men meeting in a cafe is a little bit too formal.”

“Hello, what can I help you with?” Just as someone came, Miao Xingyao changed her smile.

Su Hanyu looked at Miao Xingyao’s back and shook her head. Miao Xingyao had tried dating in the past few years, but they were all unsuccessful. In high school, Miao Xingyao had said that she wanted to get married and have children by the age of 25, which was her dream. However, now that she was 25, she didn’t even have a boyfriend. “No problem, I’ll go and see.” Miao Xingyao smiled and went to get the broom. She didn’t know how to make coffee, so Su Hanyu was the one who did all the ordering after she received the order.

But this direction, wasn’t it the direction of table number fifteen just now? Miao Xingyao thought it couldn’t be that something happened at the senior’s table, could it?

Sure enough, when Miao Xingyao arrived, it was at table fifteen that a cup shattered on the floor.

Yu Jingxuan did not say a word as he watched Miao Xingyao’s movements. When Miao was about to leave, Yu Jingxuan spoke up, “Have we, have we met before?”

“Huh?” Miao Xingyao turned back around and asked, “Are you talking to me?”

Yu Jingxuan nodded and thought to himself, Isn’t this woman a bit stupid?

Miao Xingyao thought that the senior couldn’t possibly remember her, so she shook her head and said, “Mister you might have misremembered. I don’t think we’ve met.”

“Oh, I was the one who mistook.” Yu Jingxuan replied back indifferently and looked emotionless.

Miao Xingyao returned to her position and told Su Hanyu about what had just happened.

Su Hanyu said a few oops oops oops before Miao Xingyao paused and turned around to find Yu Jingxuan standing behind the counter.

“We have indeed met.” Yu Jingxuan stared at Miao Xingyao, his eyes becoming dark.

Miao Xingyao said awkwardly, “Mister, I didn’t mean to talk behind your back, sorry. I don’t think we’ve met before.”

“Then why did you address me as senior?” Yu Jingxuan raised his eyebrows. He had clearly heard it just now.

“Ah. That.” Miao Xing Yao really wanted to smack her own mouth. She was used to this term of addressing.
