Su Jiaojiao, who didn’t look at her surroundings while walking had not noticed Zhang Yu and only walked forward single-mindedly.

When she called Song Qinghan to eat and saw the fat fishes in his basket, Su Jiaojiao smiled even brighter.

As Song Qinghan had not gone outside much during this period, his skin had whitened by several degrees. His originally handsome face had an extra air of scholarliness to it. Su Jiaojiao also had a pale and delicate appearance, so she looked much more attractive than the other girls in the village.

When the two were walking home happily, they saw Zhao Sisi standing by the door. After being tanned by the sun for some days, Zhao Sisi had darkened by two degrees, and her skin had become rougher. When she saw Su Jiaojiao, it was like seeing her saviour, “Jiaojiao, come on! I’m going to starve to death!”

Su Jiaojiao, “Pronto!”

She opened the door with quick steps and took out the cake she prepared for Zhao Sisi in the kitchen. As it was in a paper bag, she could take it directly to her room, and other people wouldn’t see it.

They exchanged money using one hand and the cake with the other.

Su Jiaojiao put the money in her pocket, smiling contently. She was about to start making dinner when she heard that voice which was already beginning to make her scalp feel numb.

[Ding! Task 13: Dear host, after over half a month of tiring work, you have already saved up 10 dollars, which isn’t a paltry sum. To improve the relationship between you and your husband, please use your savings to buy cloth from the system. Then, make three sets of form-fitting couple’s clothing for you and your husband. Reward: Two low-profile couple’s watches.]

After speaking the mission contents, the matchmaker system said, [Host, about what ‘form-fitting couple’s clothing’ means…erm, I probably shouldn’t talk too much about this. It’s fine if you get what the task means.]

(TL: That’s for the better…I’m too young for explicit that scenes.)

Su Jiaojiao dropped the plate with a ‘Peng!’ sound accompanying it. Thankfully, the height she dropped it from wasn’t very high, as it would have broken otherwise.

Su Jiaojiao had not regained her senses yet. As she looked at the black words on the otherwise half-transparent board, she thought: Does this means what I think it is? And I even have to do it myself?!

TL, 1st post: Yeah, sorry about this, but this chapter is exceptionally short because of reasons. Said reasons being how the rest of the chapter is just the author advertising their new book, which I will not talk about because I hate this author for causing me so much pain and suffering.

TL, 2nd post: Mya Ayla and ClaudeCastle, I think Zhang Yu is an insignificant cannon fodder character…? Idk, I haven’t read anything before the bits I translated ;P

TL, 3rd post: Btw, since I’ve never really introduced myself…Hi, I’m Armos D. Platypus, but you can call me Puggle. I’m a blue platypus who is trying his utmost hardest not to kill the author for using province-specific words. That would be fine if I didn’t live in another part of China.

TL, 4th post: Join the discord server, which I’m saying yet again. Sigh. I hope this actually gets ad revenue for Fleeting (site owner) so I still have a job…wait I don’t get paid XD

TL, 5th post: Thanks for giving me support! I mean, I’m grateful to the <10 of you who commented something aside from ‘Thanks for the Chapter’. Gods someone tell me how to use DISQUS.

TL, 6th post: Tell me in the comment section if you’d be willing to pay 2 euros for advance chapters (Patreon). It’s gonna be very few chapters, because of my sporadic chapter uploads.

TL, 7th post: I was thinking of excuses to increase the word count so this chapter wouldn’t get deleted…I think it’s gonna work o7
