29. Gently keeping watch

Outside the operating room of Kangren Hospital, nurses hurried in and out, and Leng Feng waited in the hallway with a subordinate.

Leng Feng stared at the corner of the corridor, his expression was tense and cold, and it seemed that there was a bomb hidden in it, which was about to explode.

Two more nurses ran into the operating room, and Leng Feng stared at the same corner with even colder eyes. When he looked like he was on the verge to explode, Ye Lihai, who was wearing a surgical uniform, hurried to the operating room accompanied by a nurse.

“Major General, we have caught the two people who shot downstairs on the second floor tonight, but Mu Dan hasn’t been found yet. This subordinate have sent more men to search the entire Songxi City. Do you have any other orders?” His confidant came panting to report.

After two days and one night , Qiao Han finally woke up.

Leng Feng, who had been guarding by her hospital bed, was overjoyed. The fatigue and anxiety of the past two days seemed to be swept away at the moment she opened her eyes. He grabbed her cold hand and asked softly, “How are you feeling, can you hear me?”

Qiao Han didn’t react for a while, and just nodded.

She was shot at a dinner party.

Soon, Ye Lihai brought two nurses to do a small check on Qiao Han to determine her recovery.

While listening, Qiao Han quietly observed Leng Feng’s face.

She thought Leng Feng would have a “big fight” when he saw Ye Lihai. Unexpectedly that didn’t happen and she was relieved, but only listened carefully to Ye Lihai’s explanation of her condition.

After Ye Lihai and the nurses left, Leng Feng asked Qiao Han what she wanted to eat. Qiao Han didn’t feel hungry at the moment, so she shook her head, “I don’t have an appetite.”

“Then you have to say it when you have an appetite.” Leng Feng returned to his seat beside her hospital bed. Her pale face and weak tone made him feel distressed. He rubbed her soft little hands with his big palms, and asked in a deep voice, “Does the wound hurt? Tell me if you feel uncomfortable.”

“It doesn’t hurt.” Qiao Han said and asked Leng Feng to help her up.

It didn’t hurt when she lied down, but when she tried to get up, the wound on her abdomen began to hurt.

“Your parents have also been here for two days. Today afternoon, I told them to go back and have a rest. They will come over tomorrow morning.” Leng Feng helped her up, put a pillow behind her, and then poured her a glass of warm water , “Did you see who fired the gun?”

“No.” Qiao Han shook her head.

After the first shot, the crowd was in chaos, and when the second shot sounded, she was hit and fell to the ground. She didn’t see who fired the gun.
