Lyricist: Her Revenge

"Nothing is wrong", Eddie shrugged nonchalantly as she pulled on her jacket.

Alice tilted her head in confusion while Eddie smiled and stood up from her seat. Then, she walked up to the door, peeked outside discreetly and then closed the door shut. Alice was feeling crazy. Had Eddie in any way go maniac?

Suddenly, Eddie pulled her by her arm, and dragged her to the bookshelf nearby. There what she did, made Alice open her eyes wide with shock. She pulled on a book and the cupboard moved away revealing a gap in the wall or rather a door with a passage inside. The passage seemed to be filled with darkness.

"What is this?" Alice asked with a horrorstruck expression.

Instead of answering her query, Edie dragged her inside and switched on a light. Few dust-filled tables and a computer came into view. Alice quirked an eyebrow while Eddie closed the door, pressing a peculiar looking button.

"You know what?" Eddie said as she glanced at Alice, "There are secret cameras installed in my office and outside the door of my office. The chance of being plagiarized in this world is quite high. So, in order not to take any risks, I had asked Dad to install such cameras. Now, see this."

saying so, Eddie moved to the computer and switched it on. Alice shoved her hands inside the pockets of her jumper and followed behind Eddie. The screen lit up, and few folders came into view with dates mentioned on it. Eddie clicked on the folder which had the date of the yesterday. Two footages were displayed. Eddie clicked on the first one.

The video started playing. The footage captured everything clearly. The hallway seemed empty. Very soon, a figure appeared and it was seen that the key to Eddie's room being imprinted in a soap cake. The face could be seen clearly.

Eddie closed that video and clicked on the next one. The screen appeared dark at first. But soon, light poured in when the door was opened. The video was from inside Eddie's room. The screen became brighter once the intruder switched on the light. Alice squinted when she saw that the figure made its way to the cupboard and pulled out a stack of files. Eddie closed the video and turned towards Alice, "Did you see it?"

"Yeah, that--" Alice was cut off by Eddie as she placed a finger on her lips.

"Shh", Eddie retracted her finger, "Walls and doors have ears too."
