Lyricist: Her Revenge

After the interview, Alice headed back to the agency with Amy, Cath & Aunty Shoo. The end of October was approaching & it was time for the various award ceremonies. The most anticipating award ceremony of the year was the Blue Phoenix Awards. Being nominated was the source of unending joy for many. The awards were equally important for all spheres of the entertainment circle. After entering their private room, Amy handed Alice an invitation card.

"What's this?" Alice took the envelope from her hand.

"An invite from the music director of 'A day in Spring'."

"Oh! I did the title track of the movie", Alice nodded, "But what's the invite about?"

"See for yourself!" Amy smiled.

Alice immediately tore open the envelope & saw that it was their music launch ceremony tomorrow night. She was invited as one of the singers. Very interestingly, Cath had bragged a side character in the movie.

"Shall we go?"

"Of course!" Amy nodded, "Well, they want your playback to be nominated for the Blue Phoenix Awards this year."

"Blue Phoenix?", Alice was startled. Her Dad had 10 of them. For playback, for hit singles, for best album of the year & what not. Of course, she dreamed of bragging one too. She was moved.

"Hmm...", Amy smiled, "I guess, your Dad too bragged many awards."

Alice nodded furiously, "I'll go! I'll go! I have to get the award for the best playback."

Amy smiled, "Go home & take rest. I'll pick you up an hour before."

Alice nodded & left, waving her hands frantically.

Jenny, after the downfall of BLISS, was left with nothing. Currently, she rented a room in an extremely slum area. every part of it screamed poor! Though Starlet Super Media had produced numerous stars in the entertainment circle, what it lacked was the required investments. So, they had no money to waste on a manager surrounded by scandals. Jenny was furious. She wanted to hit Rose for exposing herself, but? But she was dead! How can she hit a dead one? Peach & Sofia were just mere pawns for the game. So, she spared them. The only option left was Alice. Jenny never exercised her strong family powers. Though they were not the cream of the crop, they still held much power.

She must ask her elder brother to do the job. But, there was a problem. It was just that no one in her family to work in the entertainment circle. So, it tainted her relationship with them & ended up being single for almost 40 years of her life. With no one to support her, she felt helpless. Only her elder brother maintained contact with her. He was a man of integrity & a man of the family. So, she doubted that he would ever help him. Another brother of hers was the useless tsundere & narcissist. He spoiled most of the family wealth in his looks. He was the youngest one & had once taken fancy to Alice. After all, he was famous as the spoiled brat of a famous family. Maybe, she finally found a good job for him that he would do without any hesitation. An evil smirk projected on Jenny's face. The only thing she needed was an opportunity...

Pink Villa

Eddie & Jake were busy helping Daniel for Alice's twenty-fifth birthday celebration. Plus, he had already agreed to his Dad to marry her as soon as possible, & take her under his wings. Of course, the proposal should be grand, right? Jake & Daniel were both business minded. So, the only one who could help them was Eddie. Under her thoughtful guidance, the entire mansion was decorated in an elegant way. When Alice would return this evening, she would be pleasantly surprised. Just the thought of it made Daniel very happy.

Alice had gone shopping today. So, she got home really late. When she entered the Villa, she found the living room was shrouded in darkness. She scratched her head thoughtfully before stepping into the living room. As soon as she stepped in, the lights lit up & giant part poppers exploded. She looked up & saw many heart-shaped balloons floating above her head. HAPPY BIRTHDAY was spread across the room. A smile stretched across her face. Very soon, few clapping hands came into view. Jake & Daniel holding party poppers, Eddie, Papa Adley & the woman. What she saw next, paused her for a while.
