The woman viciously gritted her teeth as she flipped the laptop from the table. The bodyguards were shivering uncontrollably.

"You idiots! You didn't erase the footages!",the woman yelled at the bodyguards.

"Sor...sorry Madam."

"Nonsense! You even made the video from a movie clip!"

"Ma'am...that..."

"Get lost!"

Their foolishness gave leeway for Daniel to escape unscathed. Stupid shits!!!

She's fuming when her phone rang. Seeing the familiar number, she answered it.

"Hello?"

"All the information about Alice has been sent to your email."

"Okay, thank you."

Hearing the words, she cooled down a bit & opened her tab. The email on top caught her attention & she opened it. The information on it made her face darker & darker.

The rest of the information wasn't necessary for the woman. The thing she doubted the most was right before her eyes. No trace of warmth was on her face. It was filled with coldness to the point of freezing the temperature around her. So, she's really Jones' daughter. And the date of birth? It's exactly the same she remembered. Since the truth became apparent, she needed to die. The woman let out her hyena cackle before she dialed a number.

"Hello?"

"Book me a ticket to Grange City.Tonight."

"Yes, Ma'am."

"Arrange everything. The thing must end ASAP."

As she put down the phone, a murderous glint flashed through her eyes.

The next morning

Grange City

Alice sat up groggily with a sore body when she realized she'd slept on the sofa in her sitting position while watching the live stream. Her phone was flooded with Catherine's calls & messages because she missed the dinner last night. Right now, her stomach was growling & so she ordered room service. It was already 6:45 a.m. So, she called Daniel.

"Hello!", his voice carried traces of amus.e.m.e.nt.

"Hmm...Good Morning", her voice was dull because sleeping too long.

"Good Morning...How're you?"

"Hmm...I miss you."

"Really?", his laughter sounded through the phone.

"100% truth!", Alice smiled.

Just then, the calling bell rang as she said, "Oh! My room service has arrived."

"Bye, then."

"Why?!", she seemed disappointed.

"No talking during food, you know that?", he seemed like a dad talking to his little daughter.

"Hmm...", she nodded childishly.

"Bye!", he laughed.

Alice opened the door after she hung up her phone. A young boy was holding out a tray for her. She raised her hands & took the tray, "Thank you!"

She pushed the door with her knee & closed it. Little did she notice, the cautious glare cast by the waiter. Then, very surprisingly her phone rang, with another familiar number. She plugged in her earbuds, "Hello, Granny!"

"Granny's very angry!"

"I'm sorry, Granny. I've been busy these days."

"Yeah! Granny saw it."

Both of them chatted & laughed wholeheartedly.

It was great to have a young, sarcastic granny. It was her Granny, who took care of her after her Dad's death until she moved out 6 years back. Though, she was still in touch with her.

1 hour later

Alice got down to the ground floor to find most of the crew members present there. Cath was playing on her phone while Allen was cl.i.c.k.i.n.g selfies with his selfie stick. She shook her head & went ahead to greet Crook.

"Ah, Alice. You didn't show up for dinner last night?"

"Just that...I fell asleep last night", Alice smiled awkwardly.

"Oh...you'd been tired, right?"

"Yeah!"

Just then, she felt a tap on her shoulder. She turned her head to see Cath glaring at her with folded arms. She turned on her heels, "What?"

"Neither did you answer my calls nor my texts."

"Oh that...I fell asleep after watching the live stream."

Just then, the assistant arrived & informed that the bus had arrived. Everyone got on the bus & the bus left the hotel campus.

On the way, everyone was busy enjoying themselves. No one noticed the black car tailing them.

Moore Forests, Grange City

The things for which Grange City was famous were its forests & abundance of wild animals. But, wild animals meant danger while being in a forest. So, finishing shootings before sunset were the best option. Everyone got it into the mood as soon as they reached the forest. Alice was wearing a white off-shoulder crop top & a long plain red skirt while Cath was wearing a blue jumpsuit. Alice had a braided flowing hair while Cath's was a high ponytail with flowing curls over her forehead. Allen wore a blue shirt with a pair of rogue pants. His hair was smoothed around his edges.

The shoots began. A large part of the video would be shot here. Everyone diligently worked on it.

The black car was stopped at a distance. The woman sitting inside was impatient. She asked the guard sitting in front, "How long?"

"Ma'am, the shoot will go on for half of the day."

"What?"

"Yes, ma'am."

"Hmm...discharge more forces around."

"Yes, ma'am."

The bodyguard took out his phone to make a call. The woman raised her manicured hand & c.a.r.e.s.sed the glass window to look at Alice who was shooting not too far away, "Too bad. You've to end up in the same way as your Dad. If you weren't present that evening, I would have a second thought in sparing you." Then she let out her hyena cackle. The driver & the bodyguard shivered in fear.

The shoot ended as the sun was setting. Everyone was ordered to change dress into something comfortable. Alice, Cath & Allen went into their respective vans to change. Alice changed into a tracksuit & jumped out of the van. When she was about to walk to the nearest van, she heard a shrill scream, "Help!" Her instinct told her that something was wrong. She turned one last time to look at the little camp before she walked towards the direction from which the voice came.

"Help!"

Another yell was heard & she quickened her steps. She halted when she realized she'd already walked a great distance. When she's to turn back, a hard object hit the back of her head & the world around her began to sway.
