Adley Mansion

The woman was having her manicure when two armed bodyguards were standing near her.

"Did you get any information?", the woman asked as she checked her nails.

"Yes, ma'am", one of the bodyguards replied.

"Speak", she nodded.

"According to our information, she'll be heading to Grange City tomorrow."

"Arrange everything", she replied calmly, as her lips curved into a smirk. 😏

"Yes, ma'am."

The bodyguards left she let out her evil cackle, "Alice! You're dead. Nothing can get into my way."

The maid standing nearby shivered in fear. Sometimes she wondered if the old master was blind.

Pink Villa

The car slowly pulled into the Villa. The whole journey was silent. So, when they got down from the car, Daniel asked, "What's wrong?"

"Actually...", Alice's lips curved down, "I've to go to Grange City for shooting. For three days."

"When are you leaving?", His voice came out in a whisper.

"Tomorrow", she whispered back & held his hand, "Let's spent the night together."

"How?",Daniel smirked as he squeezed her hand back.

"You...you don't go overboard with your thoughts!",she flared up easily.

"Eh? Just joking. So, what are we going to do?"

"Let's cook something together."

"Sure."

They went inside, changed into homey clothes & went to the kitchen. Each tied an apron. Alice wore a bunny one while Daniel's was a Mickey Mouse. One looked childish & cute while the other looked warm & caring. They chatted about their old memories. Suddenly, Alice grew sad, "You know, this is the first time we'll be apart after our patch up."

"Ummm."

"Sometimes I wonder why did Rose stab me in my back?"

"It was not once. She did it many times, but you forgave her easily."

"Maybe, I was too naive", Alice smiled helplessly.

"Hmm", Daniel nodded.

"Forget it. No more depressed talks."

"Yeah, the dinner is ready."

Apartment 2, Park Street

Lily was gazing out of her window on the 3rd floor. She's waiting for a phone call & its delay made her anxious. Finally, when her phone rang, she rushed to the table & picked it up.

"Hello?"

"Everything will be over by tomorrow", a woman spoke.

"Really? But...", Lily hesitated.

"About Alice?"

"Yeah..."

"She won't get into your path anymore."

"Thanks!"

On both, the ends of the phone, evil glint shone brightly & coldly.

Pink Villa

After dinner, Daniel & Alice watched a movie before going to bed. As usual, he coaxed her to sleep. His tiredness eventually made him fall asleep too.

...

The next morning

Daniel woke up groggily & saw his phone flooded with messages from the main branch. He furrowed his brows. The next moment, his assistant called him & what he heard next made him feel blood vomit. He hanged up & immediately opened his laptop. The net was filled with videos containing his & Lily's intimacy! Daniel resisted his urge to break the laptop. The contents were receiving mixed reactions. Some people believed some didn't. Some decided to remain neutral. He rubbed his temples in frustration.

Suddenly, he felt the person beside him, stir. He froze in his place before he turned his head to look. When he saw, Alice was already up & looked at him innocently. Before he could realize, she was already near his laptop.

"Hey! Don't look!", Daniel tried to cover her eyes.

"Ah! Let me see!"

"No!"

But, Alice released herself & took a look at the screen. Then she huffed & looked at him, "Are you alright?"

"No!", Daniel pursed his lips.

"Are you upset about it? Can't the main branch handle it for you?"

"No, there're only two ways to handle it", Daniel paused, "First, holding a press conference with evidence. Second, marry the person."

"Why don't you go for the first option?"

"I don't want to depend on my father anymore."

"But you can't go for the second option!",Alice wanted to cry.

"Of course, I won't. Silly girl!",he paused, "I've to figure out a way to take down the videos first."

"Leave that to me!",she suddenly turned excited, her eyes shining brightly. She took quick screenshots of the videos through her phone & handed it to Daniel, "You can thank me later."

"Huh?"

She didn't reply but instead grabbed his laptop. Her fingers flew across the keyboard at a tremendous speed. Daniel looked at her with confusion.

15 minutes later

Alice lifted both of her hands above her head in a surrender gesture, "I'm done!"

Daniel peeked from behind her, "What did you just do?"

"The videos are taken down, already", she made a horizontal slash gesture.

"Taken down?",he grabbed his laptop & took a look, "You did it?"

Alice nodded with a smile while he looked at her with surprise & amus.e.m.e.nt. Their moment was interrupted by a phone call. Daniel saw the number & picked it up.

"Hello?"

"Sir, someone took down the videos."

"Isn't that great?"

"Yeah! But, this will make people talk more about it."

"Hmm...arrange a press conference. Get a CCTV footage of the banquet last night & also of the corridor near the room she's kept. I guess you saw that the background in the video was in the Hotel room. Make sure the date stamps are present in both."

"Yes, sir!",Lin responded enthusiastically & hanged up.

He looked at the girl beside him, "Thank you!"

"No mentions!", Alice waved her hand proudly.

"Get ready or you'll miss your flight!", he smiled.
