Lyricist: Her Revenge

Chapter 142 - Did the sudden outpour of utensils cause him to suffer a hemorrhage?

The living room was refurbished into a medical unit. Doctors and nurses were running around. Daniel slowly walked in. He was wearing a black shirt with two buttons opened, revealing his sturdy c.h.e.s.t. He was wearing black pant and his hands were shoved inside its pockets. A few of the female nurses drooled at his sight.

"No wonder, he is called the Prince Charming", a young nurse spoke as she patted her c.h.e.s.t.

"Shh!" the other nurses warned her, "Do you want to die?"

The head doctor approached him and bowed to him lightly. Daniel nodded, "How is Dad?"

"He is responding well", the doctor glanced at the glass window that separated Papa Adley's room from them, "He is drifting in and out of consciousness. The longest he was conscious was for 20 minutes."

"Hm", Daniel gave a nod and stepped inside the specially made ventilated room. Various kinds of machines supported his father, making him look small and vulnerable. Alice and Lilith's death had affected him adversely. He was suffering from nervous breakdowns and then a major brain stroke. Daniel frowned deeply as these thoughts ran over in his head again and again.

Currently, he had shifted to Pink Villa and refurbished his villa into this new medical unit, especially for his Dad. He had already lost his biological mother, his step-mom, whom he misunderstood, and his beloved Alice. He cannot lose anyone, anymore.

Erica was sleeping peacefully when she heard a bang outside. She groggily sat up. According to her knowledge, Emily had left for some business matters. So, the only people who were in here was she, herself and that crazy, pervert brother of Emily's. If considered carefully, there shouldn't be any thief at this afternoon hour. Nevertheless, she slowly walked out of the room after pulling off a hoodie. Before she even reached the stirs, she heard someone yelling, "Hey, you! Come and lift this bowl out of my head."

She glanced down and saw Ryan stuffed under the utensils. looking at his sorry figure, she almost wanted to laugh.

'Serves you right', she thought.

She quickly ran down the stairs and asked while suppressing her smile, "How did you end up here?"

"Stop asking and start helping", Ryan spoke with grit.

Nevertheless, laughter filled the kitchen, as Erica lifted the utensils from him.

"What exactly were you trying to do?" she asked with an amused grin.

"I...", Ryan was at a loss for words, "That... none of your business."

He stormed off angrily. Erica laughed was again and turned to scrutinize the kitchen. Flour covered the floor and the counter. What exactly was he trying to cook? But, she warned herself not to be too curious, or lest, he might make it sound like she drugged him to cook for her!

Hence, she decided to go back to the room to rest. On the way, she caught a glimpse of Ryan sitting on the couch, alone and murmuring to himself. Did the sudden outpour of utensils cause him to suffer a hemorrhage?

She shook her head and could not be bothered by him. But, as she extended her foot, a figure flew by quickly and tugged her hoodie. She turned around cautiously and saw Ryan's fuming face standing behind her. Then, her eyes moved to his hand that was clutching on her hoodie tightly.

"What are you doing?" Erica asked impatiently, "Did those utensils gave you a concussion?"

"Where do you think you are going?"

"Let go of me!" Erica hissed.

"Bake me a cake", Ryan spoke impatiently, with his eyes closed.

"You were trying to bake a cake? For whom?" Erica opened her eyes wide with shock.

"Doesn't matter", Ryan pursed his lips.
