"Are you sure he'll be here?",a girl in her twenties asked Lily while sipping her coffee.

"I heard him say so. He's meeting up with someone", Lily looked excited like a child who was just given candy.

"Who knows whom he's meeting up with?",the girl scoffed.

"Ah! Please...This's my last chance to seduce him", Lily pouted.

Outside the restaurant

"Aren't you afraid of getting recognized?", Alice asked Daniel one last time.

"Nope! Why would someone avoid recognition being with such a beautiful bride?", Daniel smiled seductively.

"Eh!", Alice blushed.

"Moreover, these money grabbers will stop pestering me."

"Ah! CEO Adley is afraid of getting pestered, hmm?", she smirked.

Daniel passed her a meaningful glance before taking her arm in his.

"There he is!",Lily jumped up from her seat but fell back with a thud the next moment.

"What's wrong?", the girl raised an eyebrow.

"That...that...who's that girl?",Lily's eyebrows were twitching up & down.

"How would I know?", the girl picked her handbag & marched out of the private room.

"Hey...hey! You promised to help me!", Lily chased behind the girl.

"Can't you see he's already taken?", the girl scoffed & left.

Lily halted in her steps & started murmuring, "He's taken...he's taken...he's taken?!?"

Wuahhhh!!!

Lily burst out like a broken fountain.

Upstairs, Inside a private suite

Alice was sipping her juice when she asked Daniel, "Whom are we meeting with?"

"You'll know very soon. They'll be here any minute."

Very soon a young man in his mid-twenties entered the suit. Alice nearly jumped up from her seat.

"Are you kidding? Is that you, Jake?"

"Yes", Jake was amused by the girl's reaction but Daniel narrowed his eyes which stopped him from speaking further.

"Everyone's not here yet", Daniel explained.

"Not yet?", Alice quirked her brows questioningly.

"Huh?",Jake had imaginary question marks hanging above his head. Just then, the door opened again, a girl just about their age entered. Jake gaped at her with wide eyes which made the girl smile.

"Hey! Is that some kind of reunion?", Alice leaned back in her chair.

"Can say so", Daniel sighed.

"Hey, guys!", Eddie called out.

"How are you?", Jake flashed her an amusing smile. Eddie was stunned for a moment before she stammered, "Umm...I...I'm okay!"

Alice noticed her nervousness around Jake. She thought to herself, "Is she in love with Jake?"

Very soon, after placing the orders of drinks, Eddie slipped to the washroom. Alice followed after.

When Alice entered the washroom, she saw Eddie fanning herself near the cubicles.

"Eddie?"

"Huh?", Eddie saw Alice's reflection in the mirror.

"What're you doing these days?"

"Busy with my fashion brand."

"I see. Can I ask you a thing?", Alice stared eagerly at her.

"Go ahead", Eddie nodded.

"Are you in love with Jake?"

Eddie was stunned with her relevance. She glanced down at her feet before nodding a yes.

"Have you ever expressed your feelings to him?",Alice asked in a concerned tone.

"No, we've been best friends for years. I know he never sees me in a romantic way. He is in love with Rose."

"Rose?!", Alice was startled.

"Yeah, he's been in love with her from his college days. You know what, Rose knew & always took advantage of him to gain anything she wanted. But I never had the heart to tell him."

"I think he knows that she a vixen! If so he would have met with her. After all, he knows as much as Daniel knows", Alice slammed hard on the wall.

"But he came back because of her."

"What if...I help you make him fall for you?", Alice flashed a sly grin.

"How?", Eddie quirked an eyebrow at her.

Alice leaned forward & whispered something in Eddie's ear. Eddie giggled, "Did you use the same tricks on Dan?"

"Nope...he fell for me himself!", Alice laughed heartily.

"Okay...let's go!"

On the way, certain tricks were taught to Eddie. As soon as, they reached the table #Step 01 started.

While their relationship was developing, Alice's calm face said that the storm was brewing!
