Lumina Church: From An Assassin To A Nun

"No Sister, I should be the one who should be grateful to you right now." Guild Leader Fiore look and reply to Villia with embarrassment. How can she not feel embarrassed? Enmi has told her to take care of Sister Villia, yet not only she hasn't taken care of Sister Villia who come with the intention to help them, Sister Villia even got ostracized at the church and need to bear all of it to help this city.

Of course, Guild Leader Fiore isn't so naïve to think she's really a good person in just one look and test her. However, after looking at the result, she can't help but acknowledge that she's a good person. Sister Villia also recommended by Enmi and the vibe around her, although it's not as bloodthirsty like Enmi and more like full of holiness, it still somehow gives her a feeling that the bloodthirsty and the holiness are the same, make her feel that Sister Villia might be Enmi sister or something like that.

And maybe it's also because she treats her kindly when she acts as a maid in front of her, well... perhaps it's mostly because of that...she feels a sense of closeness with Sister Villia and wants to protect her.

That's also why she has given Father Murguna a beating after seeing how he throw insult after insult at Sister Villia. That bloody mess called Father Murguna should just rot in hell for all she cares, but it's the truth that Humanity Church is useless. Guild Leader Fiore know that there's an unwritten rule in most religions where they believe people with power should help those without powers uncaring of other views toward them. Although she didn't reject that view, she also didn't fully accept it.

Saving someone because they're weak is a yes because adventurer Guild is a place where they protect the weak. However, ridiculing the one who helps them is a total no for her! Even if the one who help them didn't care about it, it wouldn't bode well with her.

She believes that people who do kindness should be repaid with kindness, not with malice, like what that damned Father Murguna did!

Villia opens her eyes not long after and looks at Guild Leader Fiore with her beautiful yellow eyes. Seeing Guild Leader Fiore can only smile and kindly replied to her.

Villia put her index finger on Guild Leader Fiore mouth to make her stop saying the words she wants to say.

"No but. Both of us are grateful to each other…let's leave it at that Supervisor Flor. Besides, it's not for sure yet...let's wait until victory approaches us before we celebrated and exchange thanks."

Guild Leader Fiore wants to say more. She wants to say that they wouldn't discover the problem if it's not because of her, and the decision for whether to save or kill the children might change if there's no one capable of healing them. She wants to say all she did is just what should be done by her, a supervisor. But!

"After all, supporting our main fighters is better than arguing who has done more, don't you think so too?"

Hearing the next words said by Sister Villia, she can't help but choose to relent on this matter. She has observed Sister Villia before, that's why she knows she's a good person. But even if she's a good person, she's definitely not a pacifist. Killing intent will be shown from her eyes every single time they talk about Plague God Followers, yet it's so hard to determine that she believes only her and Tharen team can sense it. It's also because of Sister Villia killing intent that she think Sister Villia want to kill every single follower of Plague God if she can, but because Sister Villia can't do it alone, she can only relent and choose to change her way and support the other adventurer teams to destroy the Plague God followers.

Although she's like this, Guild Leader Fiore still thinks she's a good person. Even if someone wants to kill or massacre everyone, he or she're good person if his or her sole objective is to save someone. Maybe someone will think of them as evil, but the one saved by them will know that the one who save them is a hero, and a hero is always good for them.

The moon shines and basks Variesz city with its moonlight. Like every other night, most people have already gone to sleep to get some energy for tomorrow. A little part of these people will work tonight, and some portion will also have fun for tonight.

It should be a peaceful night like every other night, yet this night prove to be not as calm as every other night.

Shadows can be seen moving on the dark streets, moving soundlessly and separating to every corner of Variesz city. They advance slowly, carefully, silently and stop after reaching their goals. The moment they enter their position, team leader of each team will immediately give the signal that they have arrived.

Nine voices with different interval sound out. Every team who heard that everyone has got in position readied themselves to fight their enemies. All they need to do now is waiting for Supervisor order, and they will start attacking.

Remember that one child exploded also mean deadly plague will start to spread. Although it will be weaker than full bloom plague, it's still deadly and able to kill the surrounding people easily. All of the team leaders replied in unison and started to go into their destination.

In the noble district, two groups of adventurer teams are lying low while waiting for the signals to attack.

One of the groups is the group led by the leader of Specters — Mavieli while the other groups are led by the leader of Spider Lily— Lily. Both of the groups are almost the same. Both of them are 4-man team consisted only of women. They are also good at sneaking around without anyone noticing. That's also the reason why both of their team got sent to the noble district that's always full with guards for 24 hours.

As of now, Mavieli has led her teams to a warehouse located in the noble district and has successfully blended with the guards without making any commotion that will alert the Plague God followers that located inside the warehouses. To be exact, the follower is inside the secret room under the warehouse.

The four team members of Specters have perfectly blended in by camouflaged themselves as one of the guard team that has fallen asleep on the hay. After disguised themselves, they continued to patrol around the warehouses in accordance to the patrol path, all to not arouse any suspicion from other guard but mostly from Plague God follower.

After patrolling for a while, Mavieli taps the floor two times and after that, which is easily recognized by her teammate.

Without saying much, Mavieli start to run, followed by her teammate that has been enshrouded by a shadow, making no other guards able to see their movement and infiltrate the warehouses with no one the wiser.

[Mavieli, the secret room is 24 meter northeast from your current position. There's also a trap under the floor, disarm it with caution.]

[Got it.]

Mavieli rush into the direction after she heard Supervisor Flor words, while her other teammate followed her from behind. After she reached the place, Mavieli immediately pointed the floor and looked at the shortest girl in her team.

"Jelli…"

The short girl — Jelli immediately cast 「Trap Detection」 on the floor pointed by Mavieli without any further instruction. Yellow light wrapped the floor after she cast the spell, its light turns into from yellow into red, and not long after, the red light starts to cover the trap, letting them know the existence, shape, and type of the trap.

Mavieli face reveals some surprise after seeing that there's indeed a trap. Seeing this also let her confirm that Sister Villia genuinely possesses the Unique Skill which is also known as Natural Talent to them. She has told Supervisor Flor, that she has the Natural Talents Map — a talent that let her see every position of buildings, people, or animal.

After confirming her ability is true, Mavieli start to paid attention to the red light that covered the trap. It didn't take long for Mavieli to identify it as a poison gas trap, and looking at the volume, the poisonous gas is enough to fill the room and poison all of the food supplies that are stored inside this room, make all of the food spoiled in an instant.

If that happened, the food supply in this city would decrease, and the prices will likewise increase. Citizens will become hungry because of that and famine will start. Crimes will appear everywhere, and rebellion would begin if the nation didn't appeased the citizens.

Of course, that's the scenario for the weak country, but for a strong country like Calmarosh Theocracy, while the prices will go up for a while, it wouldn't crazily inflate in Variesz city, because of this city degree of importance.

Knowing that the trap never activated is also a hint that there's a way to go inside the rooms without triggering the trap. Mavieli didn't take a long time to figure it out and start to stab some part of the floor with her dagger.

It only took about 30 seconds for Mavieli to disarm the trap. After confirming that Mavieli has finished, Jelli cast another 「Trap Detection」 to check for other traps without getting any results. After knowing that it's safe, Mavieli opened the door to the secret rooms, but before they can enter, a telepathy message comes inside Mavieli ear again.

[Be careful... he has realized your presence and started to summon something. Proceed with caution.]

Mavieli without any hesitation jump down to the secret rooms, followed by her teammates one by one.

The sounds of water splashing can be heard the moment her feet touch the grounds, make Mavieli frown in an instant.

Another sound of water splashing can be heard behind her, as her teammates, one after another entered the water.

The four of them arrived in a dark watery cave as soon as they jumped down. The cave is so dark that ordinary people wouldn't be able to see anything. It's good that the four of them aren't ordinary people but an adventurer. The four of them are used to darkness as they usually fight in the dark, but it seems that the cave is darker than usual that they can only barely see ahead.

"Move fast…we don't have time."

While Jelli and the other tried to adjust their sight on the cave, Mavieli frown can only turn bigger as she entered this place and immediately run ahead. Her teammate who saw her reaction turned severe and followed her without any hint of hesitation.

They keep running and running, but before long, green light starts to shine on every corner of the cave and surround the four of them. Sounds of squeaking can be heard from every corner of the cave, while male voices can be heard all over the cave.
