Loving A Triple Threat

Chapter 16 - Scandalous 3

There was a massive stage set in the grassed area in the east the Caribbean Park. The back of the stage faced the sunset and Gi's group of approached watching the big screen which was a precursor to the concert.

It was playing different Kpop bands on what must have been a one hundred foot backlit screen. There was no doubt the Billionaire spent large sums on the party and the concert in particular. The food was all expertly catered with plenty of additional mobile refreshments and many security guards

Because the company did not want any bad press, there was no alcohol other than the smuggled variety. There were too many underage attendees. And although they could have run licensed bars serving responsibly, the risk-averse nature of the company ruled it out.

The group wanted to relax after a hard afternoon of slides and swimming in the wave pool, they had gotten too much sun, despite Jae-Sun's efforts, so the shade from the stage was an extremely enticing sight.

Gi led her small little group towards the front section at Seok's encouragement. Jae-Sun placed just behind her left shoulder, he was 6'3 and had stood out all day due to his height.

"Miss," six security guards managed the VIP section near the stage. It was presumably for the Joon's and the events special guests. The guard looked at the group and eyed Jae-Sun briefly, giving him a courtesy nod.

"Can I scan you, miss?" He asked before making a determination.

"I'm not sure if we're allowed, but, yes please scan and see," Gi said.

The security smiled and nodded, thankful she wasn't a spoiled brat demanding special treatment that she had not warranted nor earned.

He waited for her raised wrist, not daring to touch the rare beauty and landing himself in mountains of trouble, he scanned her then looked back to his colleague manning the security monitor.

He received a nod immediately, but then the screening supervisor called over the group supervisor. Perhaps something was wrong. Two and then three men conversed in hushed tones.

The group supervisor called the area supervisor who called the concert supervisor. The concert supervisor got on the radio to the event supervisor, the top supervisor.

After receiving instructions via the chain of command the group supervisor approached and handed Jae-sun two new golden lanyards and asked for the old one back.

"Please, Officer Ruek be ready for when you are called," the Group supervisor stated calmly. Jae-Sun had an event radio attached to his c.h.e.s.t, with an earpiece which doubled as a symbol of event security member as well as its normal function in communication.

Jae-Sun looked down at his tablet, he had received an internal communication.

"Please Miss Reyn," the group supervisor said, "We will scan your party in."

Gi checked her phone, still no message from Ren. She was determined to be stubborn as well. First, she had accepted to come to this creepy event, then found out even more competitions based on a girl's appearance, all done without their express permission. All of this upon his invitation.

She wondered how much he knew, he was year twelve who did know Joon personally. Seok merely got information by virtue of his brains and dedication. Ren possibly received the inside scoop. How much did he hold back from her?

And finally, he was terribly rude to Jae-Sun who was merely acting professionally.

No, she would not text him. But she kept checking her phone, hoping he had texted her apologising. Hour after hour went by. No text.

And after one final check, still none. She walked into the VIP section without her date.

"Wow," Hyuk said to Seok after being scanned in, "I didn't think we'd make it."

Seok tilted his head towards Gi, "Something happened."

"What?" Hyuk asked. Misha and Suzie leaned in to listen as well. They were all enthralled by Seok's stories and speculations of what was going to happen next.

"I'm not sure. It's weird that they weren't sure of our status and had to work something out. It should be in the database, Gi, Suzie and Misha section A. It's simple. So why all the calls to higher-ups? Why the gold lanyards?"

Jae-Sun cleared his throat.

Seok, Hyuk, Misha and Suzie turned to face him in slow motion. Gi was unaware, she was ahead searching for a good spot to lay their blanket and sit.

Jae-Sun appeared like a statue, but when all eyes were upon him, he flicked his head towards the big screen without making another sound or motion.

The four turned in slow motion towards the screen.

There, picture in picture, was a girl named Min Yi, her app photo and a score of 9.165, rank 100. She was pretty, and her photo was professionally taken in a studio. This smaller picture sat in the bottom right as the music video played on.

Seok turned back immediately to Jae-Sun. The guard, his final line of defence from a jealous and savage tribe of Kyunggi high school boys, stood like a statute, showing no emotion or body language other than; don't mess with me.

The clue was the competition.

"I got it," Seok said turning back to the group.

Misha closed on him, she was far too close for Seok to be comfortable normally, but he welcomed her invading his personal space. She could have a pass.

"It's the competition," Seok said.

"What!" Misha said pushing him playfully, 'Spill it!"

"Let's sit and watch, one of you will be top ten for sure," Seok said.

Misha pouted, "It will be Gi, they scanned her." Suzie didn't want to agree, but she had no argument to make. She wasn't scanned until after the call.

Seok looked at Misha, down to her toes and all the way up to her face. She could see him inspecting her, calculating and waited for his appraisal.

"Don't sell yourself short, you are well above 9.165," Seok said.

Misha cuddled him. "Thank you Seok," She said.

Suzie asked Hyuk, "Can he calculate the score just like that?" She asked.

Hyuk nodded, "He's far to dumb to make it up for a cuddle, so I think he can."

Suzie laughed and much to his surprise she cuddled Hyuk.

"What's that for?" He asked.

"You're funny. I like funny," Suzie said.

"Oh," Hyuk breathed, noted. As she cuddled him, he scrolled on his phone using one hand. *need jokes. She likes funny.

*Sena: google it you, idiot.

*Hyuk: oh yeah. Good point. You're not that funny anyway.

*Sena: there ya go. Keep that up, you'll get the girl, but when I see you, you'll be dead.

*Hyuk: haha

*Sena: is Gi with anyone? you promised to keep a lookout.

*Hyuk: lol, he stuffed up. Insulted her policeman in front of her.

*Sena: what f.u.c.k.i.n.g policeman?

*Hyuk: gotta go, need both hands

Suzie pulled away, "Let's sit down, boyfriend."

"Boyfriend?" Hyuk asked.

"Yeah, for the weekend only, don't get ahead of yourself."

The five sat on the large blanket that Officer Ruek brought while he stood off to the side, so he wouldn't block anyone's view. Gi asked him to sit, but he declined.

Hyuk and Suzie cuddled. While Hyuk played a game of; inches to take a mile. He held her hand, then placed her hand in his l.a.p, then moved closer and put his arm around her. Then slid his hand down to the top of her t.h.i.g.h. Then she put her head on his shoulder. So he stroked her hair for a while.

This continued for the next hour. Hyuk would not stop until she told him to. Taking more territory with each move. And she never once pushed his hand away. So after an hour had passed; Suzie's hand was on Hyuk's "lap" resting on his erect p.e.n.i.s. And he had one hand on a b.r.e.a.s.t, squeezing intermittently, while the other was down the back of her very short pants cupping her soft b.a.r.e b.u.t.t.o.c.k.s.

His mind came upon a sudden scary realisation. He stopped pushing boundaries before she resisted.

Holy Batman. He was with a girl more promiscuous than him!

Gi looked at Misha, then to Suzie and then back to Misha rolling her eyes at her weekend ally.

Misha giggled and patted Seok's head fondly.

Seok prayed to God. He was feeling very lucky and wanted to thank him. Normally he was agnostic, but in this circ.u.mstance how could he question the existence of the Almighty. He was obviously being rewarded for not swearing and all his hard academic work. If he managed to get dux, he might even be rewarded with losing his v.i.r.g.i.n.i.t.y.

Gi sat alone.

None of the men she liked were here, well one was, but he was too professional to do anything. She peered at Jae-San. He looked to be taking a nap on a chair. Even napping he sat up straight.

The other was being an idiot and Sena, bless his brave and stupid soul, well; he couldn't come to this sort of thing obviously. Unlike his friends who went to Daeil, he was excluded due to his social status.

Gi felt a little sad as she watched the screen, every couple of minutes a girl popped up, and with the crowd growing larger every moment, with the Blackpink and Treasure Box Contest inbound, the ohs, oos, ahs and celebrations grew louder and louder.

Twenty Five, Suzie Kim, 9.703

"Suzie," Seok exclaimed and turned red when he realised that the two, Suzie and Hyuk, were kissing with hands in inappropriate places.

"What?" she asked in surprise and breaking from Hyuk.

"Look quick!" Seok took a photo in case she missed it.

She turned to the screen and cheered, "Twenty Five! yeah!"

Gi giggled, trust Suzie to celebrate a stupid boys competition that was run without her approval. Gi would have been fine if it was voluntary, it was the underhanded nature on how it was done that irked her. And if it was voluntary, she would never have applied to this part of the weekend.

She guessed she didn't make it to the top 100, they were down to 25, and she had sent in a troll photo.

"Gi?" Misha asked her rival hairs would be up with the announcement of Suzie and the exclusion of them.

"I sent in a stupid photo Misha, there is no way I am part of the top twenty-five, Suzie sent in a model photo from a professional photographer," Gi stated.

"Ah, mine was in the park with my brother, he is a good photographer, and I didn't want to go all out. Same reasons," she said sadly. Perhaps she was sorry now.

At twenty an actress came up, Jiang, she had been in a few dramas on TV and was a real beauty.

And at nineteen Misha appeared, she was in a beautiful red dress, running in the park looking like she was enjoying herself. Her red dress flowed behind her, while her eyes and smile shone at the camera.

"Oh so beautiful Misha," Suzie praised. "Congratulations."

Misha jumped. And jumped triumphantly again as everyone applauded. She smiled wryly and apologetically at Gi. "Sorry. It's a rude competition, but I can't help but get excited."

Their thoughts on being used evaporated. They now celebrated being celebrated.

Two girls on their blanket were in the top twenty-five. Seok's belief in god increased as number nineteen snuggled him.

"You're like a teddy bear," Misha said to Seok. "A smart one. How do you do at school?" She asked assessing him.

"I do ok," Seok said humbly. He was always number one since kindergarten.

She chuckled softly, "Humble too."

Seok pondered his earlier choice. He no longer rated the short one in the corner the best.
