Love To Hate Me

Chapter 7 - 7: Parking Mishap

.....

The Next Evening.

City Hospital.

Soo Min walked out of the operation theatre, with another successful surgery. Checking the time on her phone screen, she quickly strode towards the locker room to change out of her scrubs.

If it was not for that last-minute emergency case, she would not have be late for such an important event.

Quickly putting on some red lipstick, Soo Min's final touches of light make up on her pristine face was already finished.

She decided to tie her brown hair into a messy side bun and inserted a rose gold pearl pin on it.

Due to the tight time frame she couldn't do much, but her natural beauty outshined and gave her an effortlessly elegant look.

Soo Min went to grab her silver clutch bag with the invitation and her phone on it before leaving the hospital.

.....

Inside her car.

Stopping at the signal, Soo Min tapped her fingers on the steering wheel out of frustration.

This was the tenth red signal she had stopped at. Just when she was running late, life plays this annoying game with her.

Since when were there so many signals in this city anyway?

Once the signal turned green, she continued to drive towards the venue.

Soo Min keenly focused on the road ahead, while glancing at her watch from time to time.

It was not appropriate for her to be late to such an important event, if not what face would she give her dad.

PING

She glanced at her phone on the passenger seat constantly buzzing with missed call notifications from her friend, Olivia.

Ignoring the ten thousand missed calls, she pressed her foot on the accelerator and changed to a higher gear before speeding up.

.....

At A Nearby Parking Lot.

For the past twenty minutes, Soo Min was making several rounds around the parking lot searching for an open spot.

Many of the guests had already arrived and began to make their way towards the venue entrance.

'I guess that explains why there are no spots left.' Soo Min mused watching the many familiar businessmen walking past her car.

Just then her eyes landed on a empty spot next to a black mercedes.

She quickly drove over to the open spot and reversed her car before parking her car.

THUD!

Just as she backed up, in the hurry that she was, Soo Min ended up hitting the front side of the black mercedes that was parked next to hers.

Looking at the damage caused through her rear view mirror, she cursed under her breath.

"Damn it."

She turned off her car and immediately stepped out before walking over to examine the front side of the black mercedes.

Just as she thought, it was pretty bad.

The bumper had fallen off, and the left headlight was on the floor, completely shattered into pieces.

Getting her phone out from her silver clutch bag, she quickly dialed her insurance company.

While waiting for an attendant to pick up, she scanned the car and noted all the points of damage.

Just as she went to check the left side, she saw Ryan walking out of the hotel and rushed down the stairs.

"What is he doing here?" Soo Min wondered. Her eyebrows creased as he made his way towards her direction.

Not thinking much, she quickly hid behind her car and peaked her head from the side.

When Ryan walked over to grab his phone from the car, he was dead shocked!

He stopped his tracks and his eyes widened in shock; as though he was glued to the road, he remained there, unmoving as he looked at his brand new car in such a terrible state.

Soo Min was beyond appalled when she saw him standing in front of the car she crashed into.

'Wait...it's his car? Oh no no no! Please no! It can't be!' She mused.

Almost instantly, Ryan ran over to his car and hugged it.

"My baby! Who did this to you?" He sobbed.

Soo Min's eyebrows creased with surprise and murmured, "Baby?"

She covered her hands over her mouth and tried her best to suppress her laughter.

When Ryan heard a muffled voice, he turned his head both sides and yelled, "Who's there? Show yourself!"

Soo Min widened her eyes and gulped.

She tightened her grip on her clutch bag and thought to herself.

'I need to get out of here now!' Before sneaking out from behind the line of parked cars.
