Love To Hate Me

Chapter 10 - 10: Gender Equality

....

Juice Bar.

After filling the cup with the fruit punch to her heart's content, Olivia happily walked over to a nearby table.

However, as soon as she was about to reach, she tripped on something and lost her footing.

Olivia's eyes shrieked in horror as she watched the fruit punch go flying out of her cup and land on a gray suit.

The red stain spread like fire across the fabric of the suit coat. Quickly regaining her balance again, Olivia turned her head to look up at the man's face.

Just as she expected, she gulped when she saw a murderous glint pass by the man's dark green eyes.

"Uh oh."

.....

"What?!" Soo Min yelled as she abruptly stood up. Perhaps a bit too loud. Due to the harshness of her action the chair made a loud screeching noise across the floor.

Soo Min only realized that when she saw all the guests at the party had stopped what they were doing and turned their heads towards her, staring like a hawk.

"Oops...too loud?" Soo Min let out an awkward chuckle before sitting back down while she placed her hands on either side of her face, out of embarrassment.

"Wait. So you're actually staying here now?" Soo Min whispered.

Noah smiled and nodded. "Yup... dad wants me to manage the branch back here in Seoul. So unless there's a new CEO..." Noah paused before continuing "Which is highly unlikely, I'm here to stay for good."

"Oh my god! That's great news." Soo Min happily exclaimed but she mellowed down when she saw all the people's angry stares again.

"Now you, me, and Olivia can hang out again." Soo Min stuck out her thumbs before she joyfully whispered, "The trio is back baby!"

Noah chuckled and the two clinked their glasses together. Soo Min instantly took out of phone and beamed, "Just wait till Olivia hears this news... I bet you she is going to freak out! After all it's been like almost four years since she last saw you."

"Speaking of that devil, where is she?" Noah inquired.

Buffet.

Near the Juice Bar.

"I—I'm so sorry! I didn't mean to—"

"If a sorry worked the why would we need the police."

When she heard the man's response, Olivia furrowed her eyebrows and frowned, but before she could respond, liquid from the champagne glass was splashed on her face.

Olivia stood their wide eyed and her jaw dropped in shock.

The man smirked and said, "And now we're even."

Olivia looked down at her juice stained dress and then back at the man in front of her. She was simply astounded by his response!

"You—How dare YOU!" She stomped her heels and ran towards the man with a fiery expression that startled the man for a second.

By the time he came back to his senses, the next thing he realized was Olivia's strong grip around his head, pulling his hair out.

"AHHHHHHHHH!" He cried. "Let go of me, you crazy woman!"

Olivia smirked and responded, "Hmph! And you thought only you could make it even? Well, SO CAN I. Besides, I can't let such an expensive dress go to sacrifice."

"YOU! Let go of me now." The man g.r.o.a.n.e.d in pain.

"Hmmm, okay let me think!" Olivia faked a thinking look before saying, "Only if you apologize."

"Pfft! Apologize my foot." The man scoffed. "Besides, I believe in gender equality."

When she heard his response, Olivia furrowed her eyebrows in confusion. But it was too late to think anymore about it. The man had already grabbed her hair and was pulling it out.

"AHHHHHHHHH!"

"After all... it's a modern society Miss." The man devilishly smiled.

The flames in Olivia's eyes burned crystal clear as she fumed in anger.
