Grandpa Lu revealed a horrified look; this was no longer a question of whether his son would go to jail. It now involved the entire Lu’s family. Once the other party targeted the Lu family, they would be defeated.

As expected, after a few days, the Lu family businesses that exploited the grey areas of the law were exposed by someone. It was a huge strike at them, as they were fined a large sum of money. As if locusts passed over them, the entire Lu family fell into ruin. Grandpa Lu, along with the rest of the family members, had to escape back to his hometown like sneaky rats.

Meanwhile, inside Commissioner Liu’s office.

A faint tea fragrance permeated the air from inside a porcelain cup with white bottom and blue patterns, enshrouding the teenager’s handsome eyebrows.

Wei Zhe picked up the porcelain cup and took a light sip. The superior oolong tea released its fragrance as it entered the mouth, first tasting bitter, then fresh and sweet afterwards. “Good tea,” the teenager praised.

Commissioner Liu was in his thirties and slightly overweight, his black suit unable to fully cover his belly fat. With his pair of small eyes and naturally upward curled lips, he looked like the Buddha in the temples that people prayed to, making him more affable.

“Young Mr. Wei, I already rejected Grandpa Lu’s request. Don’t worry, we will arrest those that should be arrested without making any accommodations.” Commissioner Liu now had sweat on his forehead, and showed a pleading expression. “Now the other matter…”

“Please rest assured,” Wei Zhe put down his tea cup and replied politely. “You did a great job on this, I’ll let my father know.”

“Sorry for the trouble.” Commissioner Liu let out a sigh of relief and relaxed his body. He called out enthusiastically, “It’s getting late, how about we have lunch together.”

“You’re too courteous, but I do have something to handle later…” Wei Zhe intentionally left out the other half of the sentence.

As a result, the other person quickly became accommodating. “Go ahead if you’re busy.”

Wei Zhe stepped out with satisfaction. He withdrew the polite smile on his face as he left the office, turning back to the cold-looking teenager that he was. He took out a handkerchief from his pocket and cleaned his fingers with care. The middle aged man’s greasy hand had made him extremely uncomfortable.

But he had no other alternatives. He had just gotten reborn and had no power; he could only socialize with the others this way.

Wei Zhe became slightly irritated as he looked at the faint shadow of the teenager cast on the wall. Still under the age of majority, he couldn’t do anything. Once Wei He found out about this, he could take away Wei Zhe’s guardian title as well as all of his assets.

Hm! Hold on!

Wei Zhe touched his chin; he could transfer all of his assets under his younger brother’s name. Since Wei Jing was under his maternal grandmother’s household, the two families had no relationship with each other, so no one would suddenly check the assets under a child’s name.

Moreover…whether it was under his younger brother’s or his, there would be no difference.

Wei Jing returned after staying in the hospital for two days, but they didn’t go back to the Wei family residence. Wei Zhe bought an apartment at the center of the city, and moved in with Wei Jing.

Wei Jing sat on the couch feeling unsettled; the design of the house was his big brother’s style – simple yet tasteful. Sunshine shone through the clear glass of the lobby and landed on the child, dying his hair gold. “Big brother, from now on…I’m living here?”

Wei Jing felt depressed, was big brother going to abandon him?

“Not you, it’s us.” Wei Zhe poured Wei Jing a cup of honey water as he replied, “Drink this. It will soothe your throat.”

“U…Us?” Wei Jing widened his eyes foolishly. Big Brother was planning to move out with him? He won’t live in the Wei family’s residence that symbolized his right to inherit the Wei household anymore?
