Little Terrified Bun Chapter 101

May arrived in a rush.

Like a rain of falling roses from a fantasy, petals of dainty and delicate pink peach blossoms filled the ground, cheering triumphantly. The nail-sized fruits laid on the branches silently as it awaited for maturation in June.

At the beginning of the month, a groundbreaking incident happened in City B that shocked the upper class.

Jing An Cultural Co., Ltd. along with Zhong Da Communications Co., Ltd. launched a new model of smartphone that was completely different from the ones before. Unlike before, where they focused on coming up with palm-sized, small, and convenient phones, their new model was rectangular, with the screen taking up  80% of the surface. No more number pads, only the backspace key, the menu key, and home button that would return to the main screen.

The smartphone attracted much attention when it made its first appearance.

Wei Zhe assisted Zhong Da Communications Co., Ltd. with luxuriously advertising the phone on TV, as well as opening offline brick-and-mortar stores for customers to try it out. It was a magical phenomenon - everyone inevitably experienced a psychological gap after using something with better quality.

The phone costed ¥8889, exceeding many people’s expectations. While some people hesitated, the rich and non-stingy spent the money for the pleasure of novelty, showing off, or to emphasize their specialness.

Mo Li came from a decent economic background and also had a hard working personality, leading to her current entry-level leadership position at a foreign company. She hesitated for a couple of days when the phone launched and decided to wait.

Unexpectedly, the phone was sold out after only a few days, and the company told the public that they had issued an emergency notice telling the manufacturing factories to expedite the production, with the next batch available on the market a week later.

Everyone around Mo Li has started to use the new model, leaving her regretfully holding her old phone.

Meanwhile, many online posts emerged, desperately asking others for channels to buy the new phone. Scalpers jumped in and took advantage of the opportunity, selling the phone to the others with double the original price.

Inside the clean and tidy lobby, warm yellow light from above landed on a little teenager, creating a layer of soft light on his face that was delicate as jade. He stared at the velvet box in front him shockedly; the familiar large screen and key made Wei Jing feel like he was back in his past life.

“This…where did this come from?” Wei Jing asked with a stutter, and his soft and thin fingers tightened subconsciously. Was… there someone else who also got reborn aside from him?

“What happened? You don’t like it?” A teenager sat beside the little teenager, his tall and large adult-sized body was like a beast, silently hibernating in this small area. “Do you know what this is?” Wei Zhe glanced over at Wei Jing and asked.

Wei Jing’s face suddenly became stiff. OMG, did he say something wrong?

He peeked at his big brother anxiously as dense sweat droplets formed on his forehead. “Isn’t this the newly trending smartphone? I heard it’s really hard to get it. Big Brother, where did you get it from?” Wei Jing replied ambiguously.

“Little silly.” His voice was deep and bold, and slightly hoarse; it sounded charming and attractive. Now that he spoke so intimately and indulgently, Wei Jing’s ears had turned red. “This phone is manufactured by our company. As the boss, I have some privileges.” Wei Zhe continued.

Wei Jing: “...” That’s why…the hell! (╯‵□′)╯︵┻━┻

He swallowed his saliva anxiously, trying to calm himself down so he wouldn't reveal anything with his expressions. “Was this phone developed by Big brother?” Wei Jing asked casually as if he was indifferent.

Wei Zhe lowered his eyes and stared at the little teenager’s skin that was white as porcelain. The corner of Wei Jing’s lips has turned from light pink to crimson, his curly and dark eyelashes trembled anxiously, and his soft fingers mingled together.

His lie was so shoddy that one could tell with a single look.

A crazy and unimaginable thought suddenly arose in Wei Zhe’s mind; it was like a weed in the Spring, though it was smothered under his heart, a sprout still burgeoned tenaciously.

“No.” He told the lie with a casual smile on his face. “It was just that a group of young people had this idea and I thought it would be interesting, so I invested some money.” He intentionally revealed a perplexed expression and asked, “Is there anything wrong?”

Wei Jing let out a sigh of relief as his tensed expressions started to relax. “Nothing, I was just curious.” He held onto the phone and, like a regular child, he cuddled in his Big brother’s embrace and spoke coquettishly, “How do you use this? Big Brother, teach me.”

As long as Big Brother wasn’t reborn, everything would be fine!

“This, and then this…” As if Wei Zhe didn’t notice anything, he encircled Wei Jing’s whole body in his embrace and taught him patiently after they turned on the phone.

The new model was still slightly less advanced than the mature smartphone developed in their past life, but it was definitely unique in this time period. Since Wei Jing was used to smartphones already, he mastered it right away.

The teenager placed his large hands on the little teenager’s soft, black hair and complimented him with an incomprehensible tone, “My little Wei Jing is so smart.”

Wei Jing looked back at the teenager with a smile, his eyes filled with gentle levity, looking silly like a cute animal, unaware of his owner’s vehement feelings.

The night started to get dark; the May breeze still felt slightly chilly. Wei Zhe stayed in his bedroom alone with the balcony window open. In the distance, he could see the starlight decorating the prussian blue sky, appearing as if it was the hard work of an artist, mysterious, yet distant.
