If you still like me, I’ll look down on you

Tu Yan was a little regretful; he shouldn’t have hugged Gu Chenbai so impulsively.

He was now hanging onto Gu Chenbai, neither loosening his grip nor holding him tightly. He only felt dizzy from Gu Chenbai’s woody fragrance. Just as he was to move back bit by bit, Gu Chenbai pressed onto the back of his waist, trapping him.

“Let me hold you for a while, I don’t know when I’ll get to hold you again the next time.”

Gu Chenbai pressed Tu Yan against his chest. It was rare that Tu Yan didn’t resist.

Initially, Tu Yan was sat by Gu Chenbai’s side, and deliberately changed to a particular angle to hug him. But his waist felt uncomfortable from twisting. He only moved a little, and Gu Chenbai held onto his ankles, spreading his legs apart so he could sit on his lap.

Such an intimate posture. Tu Yan didn’t react for a moment.

However, he also didn’t feel that it was particularly strange.

After all, every step that he and Gu Chenbai took was very strange. They got married when they first met, signed a divorce agreement as soon as they lived together, kissed after living together for a month, and hugged after over two months. This hug was a little strange, but unexpectedly, Tu Yan realized that he didn’t reject it.

He then asked a question he had always wondered, “How did you hurt your leg?”

Gu Chenbai hesitated for a moment. Tu Yan said, “It’s fine if you don’t want to say it, I’m just randomly asking.”

“There’s nothing I can’t say.” Gu Chenbai touched Tu Yan’s hair and said, “When I was fifteen, I was walking on the road with my ge. A car came and was about to hit my ge, but I was sharp-eyed and saw it, so I rushed forward and pushed him away. As a result, I couldn’t avoid it myself.”

Gu Chenbai spoke very relaxedly, like he was talking about someone else’s story, “Actually, it’s great fortune in a misfortune to have this outcome. At least I kept this leg without amputation.”

However, Tu Yan felt suffocated as he listened. His hand unconsciously clenched into a fist, “What’s wrong with Gu Chaocheng? Doesn’t he watch the road when he walks?”

Gu Chenbai couldn’t help but laugh. He pinched Tu Yan’s soft earlobe, “Tu Bao, how can we escape from natural calamities and man-made disasters?”

Tu Yan frowned as he looked at Gu Chenbai. He had once thought he was already very pitiful; his father didn’t dote on him and his mother didn’t love him. But Gu Chenbai was more pitiful than him, as accompanying him was a lifelong physical disability. Compared to Gu Chenbai, he was already very lucky. At least he wouldn’t be trapped by heavy rain, losing his walking stick and dropping his phone, waiting pitifully at the bus stop for the rain to stop.

“Gu Chenbai, do you still like me now?”

“Mm?”

Tu Yan turned his face, looking at the bedside lamp as he said, “For these two months, have I not consumed the like you have for me yet? My temper is very bad,  ordering you around, always bullying you. If you still like me, I’ll look down on you.”

“What do you want me to say?” Gu Chenbai pulled Tu Yan’s shoulder and forced Tu Yan to look at him, his eyes were a little sullen.

Tu Yan softly said, “Gu Chenbai, when the agreement expires, please forget me. You’re so good, you will meet someone worthy of your love. That person will definitely be very gentle and considerate. You’ll have common interests, and a lot to talk about. You’ll become a very happy family, and even have a baby.”

“But that person can’t be you, right?”

Tu Yan nodded. He felt his breath become a little heavy, his eyes turning sore, as he thought: Did I get a fever from getting caught in the rain?

“Tu Bao, how could you treat me so cruelly? You sat on my lap and spoke softly to me the last time, to coax me into signing the divorce agreement.”

Tu Yan didn’t say anything; he was in the wrong.

“However, what you said isn’t unreasonable either——” Gu Chenbai said suddenly.

Tu Yan looked up abruptly and his hand unconsciously grabbed tightly onto the hem of Gu Chenbai’s pyjamas.

“Forgetting you is a little difficult, but it should be easier to meet you again,” Gu Chenbai leaned over and pressed Tu Yan onto the bed, then punitively kissed the mouth that was often throwing small daggers, “Tu Bao, for being so kind to you, can you promise me one thing?”

“What is it?”

“Don’t run too fast after our divorce, I’m afraid I won’t be able to find you as soon as I turn around.”

Tu Yan didn’t agree immediately. He felt guilty and sad from listening to these words. He thought in anger: Gu Chenbai, this person, is too insidious; half talking about divorce, while half forcing his heart to turn soft.

“I have one more request.”

“No, only one.”

Gu Chenbai smiled, then pecked the tip of Tu Yan’s nose, “Alright.”

Tu Yan was very curious, naturally restless to start causing trouble. He squinted his eyes and asked, “What request, let’s hear it.”

“From now on, until the end, can you not mention the word divorce?”

Tu Yan was stunned.

Gu Chenbai said, “Although it’s an established ending, let me be in a dream too.”

“Oh, got it.”

“Look at you, becoming arrogant from being too spoiled. But there’s no other choice. I still want to unconditionally treat you well. After meeting you, I also just found out that I’m someone who has no bottom line.”

Gu Chenbai then kissed him. Tu Yan’s mind was still filled with his words. By the time he came back to his senses, the belt of his bathrobe had been untied. Gu Chenbai’s hand reached inside, a little cold, and Tu Yan’s body shrunk back, but Gu Chenbai embraced him in his arms again.

“Xiao Yan, Xiao Yan, wake up.”

“Quickly wake up.”

Tu Yan could sense someone shouting at him with a very urgent voice. There was a crack in time and space, allowing that person’s voice to be transmitted through very vividly. Gu Chenbai’s face gradually faded away from in front of him. He only just realized that he had been dreaming all this time.

The person calling him was his manager. She was standing by the sofa and watching him nervously, “Xiao Yan, why are you sweating all over? Do you feel unwell?”

The makeup artist was also standing by the side, showing concern, “Yeah, young master Tu, you don’t look very good, why don’t you go to the hospital?”

Tu Yan was about to wave his hand, but a fit of nausea filled his stomach, surging up. He couldn’t endure it, and ran to the bathroom to throw up until he blacked out.

“Mn, he’s five weeks pregnant,” the doctor put down the report and glanced at the back of Tu Yan’s neck again, saying doubtfully, “You haven’t been completely marked?”

Tu Yan sat in place, not knowing how to react for a moment, his voice was light and airy, “Are you sure it’s a pregnancy? Is it possible that the result sheet is wrong? Or I’ve been eating irregularly recently, staying up late and losing sleep, causing inaccurate results– “

The doctor shook her head, “Mr Tu, you are indeed pregnant. The symptoms that you have described to me before were all due to the imbalance of sex hormone secretion caused by pregnancy despite not being completely marked.”

This was a highly confidential private hospital. On normal days, those who come and go were all notable public figures. As celebrities have many anecdotes, the doctor was accustomed to seeing such a thing, but never asked further, only regarding them as the evil debts left behind after another celebrity’s love affair.

Tu Yan seemed like he still couldn’t accept this matter. He struggled in near-death, “At that time- at that time, my heat period had already ended for two days, and I didn’t even have a complete mark. How could I still be pregnant?”

“First of all, omegas’ safety period is only a relative term. It doesn’t mean pregnancy is not impossible. Secondly, a complete mark is only a relational contact between two people, not the premise of being pregnant with a life, it’s not like you don’t have this biological knowledge, right?” The doctor had seen several cases of accidental pregnancy all morning. She couldn’t help but be disgusted at how irresponsible the current young people had towards the concept of gender. Seeing that Tu Yan had yet to calm down, she spoke her thoughts, “Why don’t you ask yourself; there are obviously 72 hours for emergency contraception, and any drug store would sell contraceptives. Why didn’t you take any?”

Tu Yan froze and didn’t answer.

In fact, he had bought contraceptives at that time, opened the packaging, poured some hot water, and was prepared to take them.

WHy didn’t he eat them in the end? Tu Yan didn’t know himself.

Perhaps he had wishful thinking and thought that he could retreat back. Or it was because in the split moment when he put the little white pill in his mouth, he suddenly thought about Gu Chenbai. His fingers slightly loosened, letting the white pill slip and drop onto the ground without a sound. Tu Yan had then missed the courage that he had saved up with difficulty.

“I didn’t think that…” Tu Yan faltered.

He kept avoiding thinking about this matter.

The doctor couldn’t really endure how Tu Yan looked, and asked softly, “So what do you plan to do?”

Tu Yan quickly stood up, his face turned ashen as he asked, “If I want to get rid of it, when would I be able to schedule it? How long will it take?”

The doctor wasn’t surprised, “It’s quick. The operation can be arranged the day after tomorrow. You need to stay in bed for two weeks after operation. “

“Okay.”

As Tu Yan turned around, the doctor suddenly spoke, her words sincere and earnest, “Mr Tu, the child is after all innocent. If you are able to, you should talk it over with your alpha.”

Tu Yan paused his steps, his heart suddenly twisted into numbness.

His alpha…had already been broken hearted by him.

His manager was already waiting outside. Seeing Tu Yan come out, she immediately walked over, asking with deep concern, “Are the results okay?”

At wit’s end, Tu Yan stopped, the result sheet in his hand was clenched into a crumpled paper ball. He weakly supported the bench and sat down, burying his face into his hands. Seeing Tu Yan’s appearance, the manager was scared to death. She instantly knelt down and asked what the condition was.

Tu Yan didn’t say a word. After a few minutes, he suddenly raised his head and asked the manager, “Can I free up half a month now?”

The manager was stunned and answered quickly, “Half a month might not work. You have to start filming next week.”

Tu Yan lowered his head again.

“Xiao Yan, what on earth happened?”

Tu Yan only responded “nothing, don’t worry,” and refused to say anything else. He silently looked at the poster of a newborn baby on the opposite wall. The baby was very cute, an actively kicking little dumpling wearing diapers that often appeared on milk powder advertisements.

He couldn’t help but think that Gu Chenbai would definitely like it very much.

Not knowing how much time had passed, he suddenly heard a loud noise nearby. The manager subconsciously stood in front of him and asked the nurse at the front desk what had happened. The nurse apologized, “Sorry, ma’am, a paparazzi just came in, but our security guards had just caught him.”

Sensitivity from her occupation caused the manager to have a jolt of energy. She immediately took out her phone to scroll through the latest entertainment news, but there seemed to be no activity. Just as she calmed down, a rapidly skyrocketing hot search made her mind explode in an instant.

【Popular actor Tu Yan appears in the obstetrics department of a private hospital, looking serious. Would there be good news coming soon? 】

Before the manager could tell Tu Yan about this matter, someone had already called to enquire about the situation.

Tu Yan was the last to know about this. When he was reading the news on his phone, Qi He sent him a message, “What happened?”

Tu Yan ignored him.

After a few minutes, QI He sent another message, “Are you really pregnant? Whose is it?”

Tu Yan’s fingertip touched the screen. Before typing a word, Qi He’s message popped up, “Could it be second young master Gu’s? Aren’t you divorced?”

Tu Yan didn’t reply. Qi He instantly diverged his thoughts, “Sure enough, I guessed it right. He’s always been forcing you to do those things, hasn’t he let you go after the divorce?”

Tu Yan was silent.

How should he explain it?

No one would believe that a person who forced his marriage partner to sign a divorce agreement would then take the initiative to climb back into his ex husband’s bed after the second day of their divorce to help him through his rut period.

He was still self-deceptive in saying that he hadn’t been completely marked, so he didn’t have to take contraceptives.

No one would believe Tu Yan would do such a thing.

Even Gu Chenbai wouldn’t believe it.
