Chapter 28 - Into the Unknown

Yi Hou was dumbfounded. His face turned from green to blue, blue to purple, then to green again. He loudly protested, "You!!!! Woman, you better stop...."

Shwoop...

While Yi Hou was in the middle of his rant, Huanghu willed to close a part of her space. It was like there was an invisible room and a door where Yi Hou was located that is now keeping his voice off.

Yi Hou paused for a bit because he was confused but when he realized what Huanghu just did, he burst and screamed inside the closed space. One can simply imagine him with a red face and having smoke coming out from his orifices.

Poor Yi Hou.

But you also can't really blame Huanghu for being mean to Yi Hou. She's not really evil in nature but with what happened the past few days, her hate towards this youngling had overflowed. Maybe someday she could forgive him but right now it's just not possible.

Huanghu then turned her attention to her surroundings. She was very hungry and was in pain too. This cave is safe and seems like a good place to take a rest and build her own base but unfortunately there are no food nor medicine here. Otherwise, she would stay here and cultivate like crazy.

She asked Feishan, "Is the lake the only exit in this cave?"

Feishan was already getting used to Huanghu's exceptional analytical skills and replied, "No. There is another exit but you are not ready to face this continent's experts yet."

Huanghu raised her eyebrow in interest.

"There are four continents in this world. The one you came from is called Fu Yang Continent. The other two are Luhao and Bia Lan. This cave which hosts the portal to those three continents is located in this continent called Mayan."

"The other three continents are similar when it comes to cultivation level but the humans here in Mayan are slightly different. If I would compare it, the most powerful humans on those three continents are as common as ordinary rocks in this continent."

"Oh," Huanghu was slightly surprised then exclaimed, "that explains why I feel a little refreshed when I came here. There should be some kind of a godly artifact or some type of resource that produces rich spiritual energy in this continent."

Feishan chuckled. The longer she converse with this little human, the content and assured he became. "Don't you worry, you will need to come back here anyway once you become a little stronger. The spirit vein in this continent will help you greatly to ascend to a higher plane."

Huanghu smiled brightly. This smile gave Feishan a slight shiver. Somehow he imagined a future where she s.u.c.k.e.d the spirit vein dry and the entire population of Mayan chases her to the ends of the earth.

"Hahaha! These humans better not offend you in the future or they will crawl to the depths of hell. Hahaha!"

Huanghu shook her head once again. 'This dragon sure is a happy dragon.'

Huanghu was already able to figure out the use of some items in the storage Feishan gave her during the conversation. She set aside some of those items that could be used on emergencies and on her upcoming journey.

But the remaining items are just too many right now and she doesn't have enough leisure time to inspect them one by one. She planned to have a look at some items again when she is a bit idle on her journey.

Feishan also dried the comical black robe from earlier and Huanghu, after a few folds and ties here and there, was able to put it on in a comfortable way.

Hunaghu didn't know anything about camping or survival tips but she has her common sense.

She made it so that her limbs won't be restricted. The robe now is just below her knees and she also tied some parts in her sleeves so they won't get caught in branches or flap around if there's a strong wind.

She didn't cut anything and instead folded the extra cloth because she might need some extra warmth on cold nights.

She also asked Feishan a few general questions about the two other continents and after some time, she stood up, "I should be going then. It was nice meeting you Feishan."

Feishan stared at Huanghu for a while and replied, "Try not to die before I come back little girl."

Whooosh.

Huanghu felt a breeze of wind. She was now inside a ball of wind that Feishan made. Slowly and carefully, she was submerged under the lake and a vortex appeared.

It was said before that the red river in the Hongse Canyon was a unique but just a normal river. They have sent cultivators to explore the river for any possible spirit vein or even normal minerals. What they didn't know was that the only requirement to pass through a multi-continent portal is the purity of spirit energy.

Well, actually, even if they know that, Feishan was here for hundreds of years. Some cultivators who got lost here, were probably slaughtered by this dragon or out of fear dived back to the lake and drifted to another continent. For those who wandered before Feishan arrived are also mostly likely dead if they left this cave.
